When memory began for me, my grandfather was past sixty-a great tall man

with thick hair becoming gray. He had black eyes and a straight nose which ended

in a slightly flattened tip. Once he explained seriously to me that he got that

flattened tip as a small child when he fell down and stepped on his nose.

The little marks of laughter at the corners of his eyes were the prodnct of

a kindly and humorous nature. The years of work which had bent his shoulders had

never dulled his humour nor his love of a joke.

Everywhere he went, "Gramp" made friends easily. At the end of half an hour

you felt you had known him all your life. I soon learned that he hated to give

orders , but that when he had to, he tried to make his orders sound like

suggestions.

One July morning, as he was leaving to go to the cornfield, he said :

"Edwin, you can pick up the potatoes in the field today if you want to do that.

" Then he drove away with his horses.

The day passed, and I did not have any desire to pick up potatoes. Evening

came and the potatoes were still in the field. Gramp, dusty and tired, led the

horses to get their drink.

"How many bags of potatoes were there?" Gramp inquired. "I dont know.

"

"How many potatoes did you pick up?"

"I didnt pick any. " "Not any! Why not?"

"You said I could pick, them up if I wanted to. You didnt say I had to.

"

In the next few minutes I learned a lesson I would not forget: when Gramp

said I could if I wanted to, he meant that I should want to.

Gram hated cruelty and injustice. The injustices of history, even those of

a thousand years before, angered her as much as the injustices of her own

day.

She also had a deep love of beauty. When she was almost seventy-five, and

had gone to live with one of her daughters, she spent a delightful morning

washing dishes because, as she said, the beautiful patterns on the dishes gave

her pleasure. The bird, the flowers, the clouds-all that was beautiful around

her- pleased her. She was like the father of the French painter, Millet, who

used to gather grass and show it to his son , saying , "See how beautif ul this

is ! "

In a pioneer society it is the harder qualities of mind and character that

are of value. The softer virtues are considered unnecessary. Men and women

struggling daily to earn a living are unable, even for a moment, to forget the

business of preserving their lives. Only unusual people, like my grandparents,

manage to keep the softer qualities in a world of daily struggle.

Such were the two people with whom I spent the months from June to

September in the wonderful days of summer and youth.

今年的暑假，也是我小学生涯中的最后一个暑假。既是为了庆祝，也是为了纪念，老妈决定我们娘三儿一块儿去旅行。

等待

我们商量了半天，最后敲定了去海南。不过，因为我舞蹈要考八级，所以计划又延迟了。我心里那个急啊，要不是太远了，要坐飞机，我恨不得当时就过去。没办法，我只有好好考级，好好准备。

盼星星，盼月亮，终于盼到了出发的那一天。我们先坐了两个小时左右的大巴到了上海浦东机场，又等了几个小时的飞机，终于上了飞机。

上了飞机的我兴奋地四处张望，东看看西瞧瞧，时不时的在看看窗外的风景。只可惜，这份新鲜劲一会儿就消失了，因为实在是太无聊了，连手机都不能玩。唉，还有两个多小时呢，睡又睡不着。无奈之下，只好陪妹妹玩手指游戏。

到达

在飞机上度过了两个多小时的我们终于到达了海南。出了机场，我们同一个旅游团的十几个人挤一辆车，摇摇晃晃地抵达了宾馆。我们因为太劳累，所以一到房间，稍加整理了一番，就洗洗都睡了。

吃饭

出发了，随着老妹的声音一起的是我们手忙脚乱的穿鞋声。我们到了食堂，发现一般般，什么自助式，不就几块馒头，几碟小菜吗？

午饭，“额······”我简直不能正常的说话了，这哪是菜，样子就不像，我们的海鲜大餐去哪儿了？我没有食欲了。

晚餐，这就是传说中的“水果大餐”？十几个人一桌，色、香、味都不占的菜，两个小果盘。好吧，这次出来旅游，我算是长见识了。

发现

重头戏来了，我们终于去玩了。我在大巴上两个小时，没发现别的，就发现海南的天气和植物和大陆的不一样。

你看这天气，我们进隧道前还是阴雨连绵，一分钟后出了隧道就成了艳阳高照。回头一看，那小山边还挂着道七色彩虹。

再来看这植物。一棵棵高大的椰子树挺立在两旁，真是随处可见。

游览

我们去了分界洲岛、蜈支洲岛、猴岛、凤凰岛、兰花世界、天涯海角、苗寨……其中，给我印象最深的是分界洲岛。

分界洲岛的环境很好，空气十分清新，在岛上每个人脸上都洋溢着快乐的笑容。我们去潜水了，800多一个人，好贵啊！我们穿上了厚重的潜水服，带着氧气瓶，还要在腰上绑上许多的石块。我十分纳闷，后来明白了，因为带着氧气瓶的我们不但没沉下去，反而浮在海上，要教练带着我们下去。“哇”，咳咳，差点被海水呛死。好美啊，无数五颜六色的鱼在游，许多色彩斑斓的大珊瑚。差一点亮瞎我的眼。我本想带棵死珊瑚走，但教练制止了我，给了我一颗毛茸茸的东西，我吓了一跳，手一滑，就扔掉了。上岸后一问，原来是海参。啊，亏大了。

归航

不知不觉，五天的旅行结束了，我依依不舍的上了飞机，对着那一望无际的蔚蓝大海在心里默默的说了声“再见！”

Last summer holiday, I visited to Xiamen with my parentsby plane. My

English teacher once told us that Xiamen is a beautiful city that worth of

visiting. We stayed there for four days. We lived in a small fishing village. On

the first day, we visited to Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple. Xiamen

University is consideredas the most beautiful and romantic campus in China.

Indeed, its fantastic and its buildings are distinctive. On the second days, we

enjoyed the scenery of Jimei District. On the third day, We visited to Gulangyu.

Its amazing and I like it very much. There are many small specific stores.

However, the huge tourist visitors make the small island crowed. Anyway, it was

a pleasant trip.

在阳光的照耀下，我们一行人背上包推着箱，脸上露出期待的表情。就这样，我们开始了西安中原之旅。

在西安，我们首先去了贾平凹文化艺术馆，一个橱窗里放满了奖状、奖杯，闪闪发光，真是令人羡慕不已。一个个窗口向我们展示了贾平凹的创作生涯。令人吃惊的是，这位老人，还坚持用笔写作。展厅里的一叠稿纸，上面的字工工整整，虽有些潦草又不失美感。他写的字、画的画，都有着自己的风格。他说，这是写字，而不是书法。字没有练书法应有的规范，画法抽象夸张，粗中有细，大概突显出他很有自己的想法、做事认真。最后，馆内有一个创作空间，里面的人都在埋头做事，偶尔只有小声说话和翻页、敲打键盘的声音。我们只好站在门口，看着里面勤奋的身影，也许是贾平凹先生给他们带来的影响。

然后我们去了特别受人欢迎的陕西历史博物馆。何以见得它特别受人欢迎？是因为那长长的队，都能把偌大的博物馆围住，似一条长龙，不见首也不见尾，很久也不动。这可是烈日当头啊！不过，汗流浃背的我们，吃了一根冰棍，还是坚持到了进馆。不容易啊！

馆内也是人山人海，一下子不留神，就会与大伙走散。馆内放着许多古代的东西，从元谋人时期到清朝都有。秦代石鼓、镶金兽首玛瑙杯、鎏金舞马衔杯纹银壶等国宝收藏在这个馆内供人们观赏。馆内还有许多古人旧时生活的用具，如银盆、银饼、货币、小圆盒等，都十分精致，岁月的流逝还是无法抵挡我们从这些物件中看出当年美丽的模样。通过这个博物馆，我越为古人的手艺而感到惊奇，也越想触摸历史。

还有西安事变的发生地——华清宫、工程浩大气魄雄伟的秦始皇帝陵兵马俑博物馆、可以自己亲手制作“唐三彩”的张家彩窑、拥有许多佛像的龙门石窟、少林功夫闻名中外的少林寺……

这次旅行在六天后、九大景点后就结束了。我们坐在高铁上，看着不断后退的西安和中原。再见了！希望还能再相见！

难忘那连绵起伏的佘山，难忘那令人陶醉的佘山的绿。佘山是我们上海市郊平原上的一座山，它虽然不像桂林的山那样秀，那样奇，那样险，虽然不像泰山那样气势磅礴。但他却有着自己的独特之处，那就是它的绿。

那天，我们乘车到佘山去开展队日活动。从学校出发，车行了一小时左右，车厢里的同学们就嚷起来了：到啦！到啦！佘山到啦！瞧，那佘山多美啊！快来看呀，山顶上还有天文台呢！从远处眺望那佘山的美景，只见那连绵起伏的山峰，像一个个手拉手儿的小朋友排在那儿。那一座座山峰，都十分友好，十分平等，谁也不孤峰突起，好像谁也不愿脱离集体，谁也不盛气凌人似的。远望佘山的绿，真是郁郁葱葱。整个山就好像是一座墨绿翡翠雕成的屏风。

我们的车子开到佘山脚下，从山脚往上望，那一座座山峰好像突然窜高了，几乎碰着白云了。天空是一片蔚蓝，佘山是一片墨绿，这景色实在太美了。一阵风吹来，佘山上的绿树卷起一阵阵绿浪。近看佘山的绿，不尽是墨绿，那万树枝头，新芽嫩叶，给墨绿的海洋渲染上淡淡的嫩绿。山脚下黄尘飞扬，可山顶空气还是那么明净，到处是一尘不染的迷人的绿。

我呆在家里想：爸爸刮胡子可真神气，小猫不是也有胡子吗?刮了应该很漂亮吧!说干就干，我找来了剪刀和梳子，先用小鱼把小猫从床下逗引出来，然后把它抱在怀里，用梳子梳着小猫的胡子，可小猫不满地晃动小脑袋，从我怀里蹿出去，我刚想抓住它，可被它逃走了。

我好不容易才抓住了小猫，把它放在腿上，嘴里唠叨着：“小猫乖乖，你最乖了……”等小猫“闭目养神”时，我连忙用剪刀“咔嚓”一下，把小猫的胡子全都剪掉了，小猫顿时大叫一声：“喵!”跳到了地上，这时我满意地欣赏我的“杰作”，任它自己去玩。

晚上，我们全家人都在看电视，忽然听见厨房传来“扑棱、咣——”的声音，我们全家马上去看，只见小猫在抓老鼠。这时，狡猾的老鼠钻进洞里，小猫却撞墙了，妈妈马上把它抱过来看一下，胡子全都没有了，边问我究竟发生什么事?我把这见事一五一十地告诉了妈妈，妈妈突然哈哈大笑，说：“傻孩子，猫的胡子是用来测量老鼠洞的大小，你剪了他的胡子，当然会撞墙啦!不过，过几天就会长出来了。”我听了，不好意思地低下头，抱起小猫，想起我白天做的事情，就会忍不住笑出声来。

正当我不知所措的时候，哥哥姐姐从房间里走出来，姐姐捧着一个二层叠式的蛋糕，小心翼翼地绕过气球，哥哥在电脑桌前放周杰伦的《生日快乐》歌。蛋糕上是牵着手的三个小朋友。哥哥指着蛋糕说：“生日快乐！你瞧，无论何时何地，你都不是一个人！”

姐姐笑着揽上我的肩，大大咧咧地说：“好怕你哦，不说也不笑，真的不知道要怎么办才好，怪吓人的。”

我低头不语，两只手不停地绞弄着下衣角，心在抽搐着。她说还有那么多气球没吹完，嘴都吹肿了，有不敢太大声，趴在你门口听到关灯的声音，才敢行动。

回想以前的种种，我不禁泪流满面，心率不住地加快，他们的顾虑和担心我都知道，只是我这个人的性格过于固执。此时的我有些自责。我一把抱住他们，好多气球都飞了起来，就像一个五彩斑斓的梦。

哥哥说该振作了，你许个愿，我们陪你一起实现。

我低着头，在心中默默地念到：以后的生活，一定要给别人带去温暖和力量。

当我睁开眼睛时，看到哥哥姐姐依旧担忧的眼神，我咧开嘴傻笑地说：“嘿！没事了！没为我担心了！”他们像疯子一样的尖叫起来，踩着气球，为我的振作而高兴，他们在这阳光和色彩里欢呼跳跃着。我发誓他们再回头看我一眼，我就会忍不住哭出声来。

至今他们都未曾问过我那天许了什么愿，可这一定不重要，重要的是，我已恢复元气，重新开始，带着感恩的心，拥有着我想要的一切。

后来的路上，也遇到过很多挫折，但我从来没有放弃过，因为我深知在漫长的时光里，梳洗和罗列着总是美好的回忆，他们的滑稽与热爱生活的心在我心中声了根，即使有一天我走得很远，也能顺着心意摸到它。

由时间讲述年华失重也无妨我快乐深久。说一声生日快乐，其实就是你可以比以前快乐……

还记得那是一个寒假的一天下午，那时我还小，不懂事，老给爸爸惹祸，就因为这样找上门的人很多，贺叔叔的次数最多，我决定要报复他一下。我带上我的“宝贝”：石头、青蛙、毛毛虫……开始出发了，我首先从贺叔叔家虚掩的门进去的，正好他家没有人。我先用石头把他家的狗赶走，这样我就能乘虚而入了。接着我把贺叔叔的鸡笼打开，让鸡跑进贺叔叔家的大厅，它们在地上乱窜，有些鸡跳到还贺叔叔的家具上，乱踩。最后我把一只青蛙放在贺叔叔的文件包里，还有一只毛毛虫放在贺叔叔的一本书里夹着。我想：“现在我再干点什么呢？”我眼珠子转了转，好法子又来了。我虚掩上门，把一个装了水的气球放在门上。一切都做完了，我得意地看着自己的“杰作”，“我真是一个天才”我自言自语地说。说完我就悄悄地溜走了。

我回到家，虽然想到等下贺叔叔会来我家找我，但是我不害怕，因为我想到我刚才的“杰作”准能把贺叔叔吓个半死，我一想到贺叔叔被吓倒的那个样子就哈哈大笑。我在家里静静地等待着贺叔叔找上门来。可是1个小时过去了，接着5、6个小时也过去了，我接着等，后来一天都过去了，他一直没有出现。我觉得很奇怪，第二天我去贺叔叔家一打听。才知道，贺叔叔看了我的“杰作”之后吓了一跳，后退了一步，当他镇定下来的时候就想起去捉他的鸡。因为跑得太快，不小心摔了一跤，本来贺叔叔的身体就比较虚弱，跌下去就爬不起来了，不知摔了什么地方。现在贺叔叔被送去了医院。我知道这件事以后，我当时那种高兴的感觉全没了。我真后悔，我当时怎么会做出那样的事情。在此我想对贺叔叔说一声：“对不起，贺叔叔，我向你赔罪了。”

我是一个调皮的小孩，做了很多“好事”，那些事我从来都没有后悔过，即使挨爸爸打，我也不怕。而且如今大部分已经淡忘了，但是惟独这件事使我感到自责，并使我永远也忘不了。从那以后我再也不干坏事了，要干就干好事。

对于一个城里孩子来说，父母陪着去动物园是一件挺平常的事。可对于一个生长在农村的孩子来说，那是想都不敢想的事。碰巧，在我读一年级的时候，这个机会降临到我的身边。

事情的起因还得从我生病说起，爸爸带我去南昌看病。一到南昌，我就被眼前一座座高楼大厦吸引住了。到了南昌，我的病仿佛也好了许多。在南昌工作的叔叔领着我和爸爸来到医院，经医生一番仔细诊断检查，最终确定没有什么大的毛病。开了一点药，我们便离开了医院。此时已是中午12点多钟，到了吃中饭的时间。叔叔就带着我和爸爸一起去吃饭。我第一次在大饭店吃饭，本来就很高兴，但后来叔叔说的一席话，更是让我高兴万分。

刚吃完饭，叔叔说：“反正来了，成成也没有事，就让我带你俩到南昌逛逛吧。”我高兴地连连点头，可爸爸却说：“这样不好，本来就耽误你了，还让你花钱。既然没事，呆一会儿就回去。再说你还要上班呢。”我一听，不禁心生怨言。

最终爸爸还是说不过叔叔，就勉强答应了。

我们第一站就是动物园。这是我第一次到动物园玩。我非常开心，并有些迫不及待。刚进门，就遇到一点麻烦。一位漂亮阿姨拦住我说：“小朋友，进去之前要买票，知道吗？”“买票？，买什么票？“当时的我根本听不懂。最后，等叔叔付了钱买了票，才领我们进去。

我真的不敢相信，以前只能在电视上才能看到的动物，现在都一一出现在我的眼前。我们先后看到：嬉戏的斑马、美丽的梅花鹿、高大的长颈鹿、大灰狼、金丝猴、大象、狮子、老虎......真是让人目不暇接。

回家之后，我到处跟同学说在南昌的所见所闻。我眉飞色舞，得意洋洋。看着同学们羡慕的目光，我真是高兴极了。

那次南昌之旅，成了我终生难以忘却的记忆。

第二站，我们来到了枣乡纪念展览馆，里面有一些我从来都没有见过的物品。老师告诉我们里面都是爷爷、奶奶年轻时用过的东西；有耕地的犁、耙子等，还有一些古老的生活用品：纺车、照相机等等，还有很多很多古老的物件，很新奇。

第三站，我们来到了枣博物馆，导游阿姨带领我们观看了各种各样的小枣标本；有金丝小枣、冬枣、鸡蛋蜜枣、无核小枣等等，还给我们讲了小枣的来历。真是大开眼界啊！

这次旅行让我见到了很多，学习了很多，真是一次愉快难忘的旅行！

小黑狗的性情很温顺，很通人性。我和它相处久了，产生了感情，它好像很理解我。每当我生气的时候，它就静静地蹲在我身边一动也不动，似乎想陪我度过那难过的时间;我高兴的时候，它就会围着我跑来跑去，“汪汪汪”地叫着，很讨人喜欢。

它不但爱睡觉，还很贪吃。记得有一次，我们吃着香喷喷的排骨，球球看见了，馋得直流口水，看到它的样子，我真的不忍心，只好向地上抛了一块骨头，小狗跳了起来，迅速地叼住了骨头，爬到了床底下，狼吞虎咽地吃了起来，吃得津津有味。

“桂林山水甲天下，阳朔山水甲桂林”，盼望着盼望着，我和爸爸妈妈终于踏上了去桂林的旅途。

这儿的风景是洞奇石美、山清水秀。我们首先来到了冠岩洞——-这是一座可以海陆空三方面游览的岩洞。我们先乘坐观光电梯下到洞底，走着走着你会听到惊涛骇浪的声音，其实一看，那是岩洞里水流的声音，水流不大，但是听了让人不寒而栗。洞里有好多奇形怪状的岩石，七彩灯一闪一闪的，至这里的景色更加绚丽迷人。洞连着洞，有人行道，还有乘船的道路。于是，我们乘上船拿起手旁的手电筒照射着岩壁，那石头真是太怪了，有的像乌龟、有的像鲸鱼、有的像大象……我们还乘坐了小火车，由我当小司机，一路我们开的小心翼翼，玩的非常开心快乐！

我们还坐着游轮游览了十里画廊，在途中我看到了座座奇特的山，有七星山，猴子望月山，九马画山，五指山，象鼻山，我最喜欢的是长寿鱼山，因为那是，一条翘着尾巴的大鲤鱼，上面有一位老太太弯着腰，在伸手救一个小孩。我被这儿的景色迷住了。瞧！兴坪佳境！不知是谁惊呼了起来。听说这个景色就是我们人民币20元背景的图案，一座座山峰倒映在漓江上是那样的迷人，那样的让人陶醉！

我们还游玩了古东瀑布、遇龙河漂流……每个景点是多么的让人流连忘返啊！

傍晚，我们依依不舍的离开了桂林，离开了这个如诗如画的地方。在回家的路上，我一直回忆着在桂林游玩的景象……这是多么难忘的旅行啊！

This morning,as we all know,this is a special day___our Chinese national festival.so we go out of home, and began to preper for somthing for the day.

There were so many people with smiles on their faces in the street.we had the same feelings to think about a family get-together.mum and dad are in the countryside,I wonder if we can get back home,or we only wait their coming.by the calling back,parents would come here.and the next time,its our busy in buying diferent food time.but thats the beginning.after doing that,when we went back home,mm called back and told that they perhaps didnt come.this is really a bad news,what should we do with the food?

A short thought while,we took all the things to go to the bus stop.so busy the stop is!there was no any tickets more.no other way we could do,only paiy more money to get back.you know,20 yuan, how sad we were!all the things were ready,we finished the activities about the festival.stayed at home by watching TV in the afternoon.
