Cars and Air Pollution

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. 今年暑假，各小区都在紧急发布通告：登革热来了！这又是不好好保护环境惹的祸！这是一种花斑蚊传染病，通过蚊虫叮咬传播病毒。在夏天，花斑蚊喜欢在积水中产卵，一次可达四千颗。人们在草丛中随手乱丢瓶瓶罐罐、食品与物品的包装袋，下雨天这些垃圾容易积水。有些居民在楼道堆放杂物，在屋顶种菜养花，花盆托盘内的积水等都成了蚊虫孳生的温床。

水是生命之源，尤其是淡水。据报道，全球70%是盐水不可饮用，淡水紧缺。所以我们要节约用水关紧水龙头，不污染我们的江河湖泊，不乱丢垃圾和排放有害物质，给鱼儿们一个干净的家，给我们一个干净的生命之源。

前些日子，我坐车去图书馆的时候看见一个衣着高贵的女人手里拿着几个空饮料瓶，随手一扔便继续昂着头挺着胸走。这个高贵的女人是选择一个乱七八糟，人们把垃圾随手乱扔的世界。接着一个衣着朴素的小女孩走过去，把那几个空瓶扔进垃圾箱里。

可是随着工厂的增多，如今这里的环境大变样了。工厂里排出许多没有经过处理的污水，河水里漂浮着垃垃圾。工厂里的烟囱，像一个巨大的妖怪，它咧开大嘴，从里面冒出乌黑乌黑的烟，像被封印了很长时间的千年“老妖“，吞噬着整个天空。河里的小鱼一动也不动，失去了往日的生机，有的小鱼已经奄奄一息，好像还在哭诉着：“还我命来，还我命来。”

去年，我们穰东镇为了创建文明卫生城镇，政府也做出了很大的努力。大街小巷增添了很多垃圾桶，一大早就有很多身穿桔红色工作服的清洁工在扫地。垃圾被装进垃圾车运到了垃圾中转站。每到夏天，街道上有很多禁止焚烧秸秆的标语，还有卫星监控。很多人也把摩托车换成了电动车，许多汽车也是电动的，这样空气的污染就大大地减少了。到了春天，在街道的两边和广场上环卫工人就会种上许多树木花草。这样我们这里的环境越来越好了！

现在，走在街上，看着郁郁葱葱的树木，听着清脆悦耳的鸟鸣，人们的心情无比舒畅。街中心的广场也焕然一新，引来许多人在这里游玩。

保护环境，人人有责。我要从身边的小事做起，做一个环保小卫士。

树木不仅仅能够用来造纸，还能够带给木材。大面积的森林能够涵养水源，防止水士流失，净化空气。如果没有树木，就没有氧气，那人类也就无处安身。森林的消失危害巨大：黄土高原上原本覆盖着成片的森林，郁郁葱葱，一望无际的林海，此时泛着绿色的波涛。但是，由于人们的破坏，此刻黄土高原已真正成为只有黄土的高原，大地脱去了外衣，裸露出了黄色的皮肤，是那样令人痛心。而且，由于没有树木，超多的泥土流失，导致黄河含沙量极高。如此大的危害，人类怎能无动于衷?植树造林迫在眉睫。

森林是制造氧气的工厂，森林能够吸收有害物质，此时森林能够持续水土，森林能够涵养水源，树冠像一把张开的伞，能够截留10~20%雨量。5万亩森林贮水量相当于100万立方米的小型水库。
