Cars and Air Pollution

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. 我今天说这些并不是我崇洋媚外，我真的很爱我们的国家。真的希望我们的国家能越变越好。我上面描述的都是我们看到的鲜活的例子，都是真正的，大家有目共睹的。这些年来我们在科技发展上取得了很不错的硕果，但是在环境保护上我们却与世界上拉开了至少五十年的距离，难道我们还不该好好反思一下吗?我说这些是想让大家注视一下我们国家的环境保护问题，让我们把“环境保护，从我做起”落实到点上，让我们的国家变得更美，更漂亮。

在学校里，我会看见这样的现象：有些人从水房出来，关闭水龙头，便径直离去，不关闭水龙头，在看到这样的情形后，我便走上前去，将水龙头关闭。虽然在这些人的眼中，浪费一些水是微不足道的，但是将这些水累积起来，却能做很多事，如：可以帮助缺水地区的人，可以去浇灌一些植物等等许多有益的事情，所以我们不应该浪费水资源，要珍惜水资源。有时还会看到，一些班级的灯在白天的时候仍旧打着，班级里的同学不会去闭灯，往往总是等到老师的提醒，才会去闭灯，虽然浪费这些电不算什么，但却体现了你不保护环境的心理，所以我希望大家能爱护我们的环境，保护我们的环境！
