i am writing to you to express my thanks for your help in learning english

and speaking english.

during these days in your class, i have learned much from you and it is

very helpful to me. firstly, you let me know what is the west thinking

pattern—straight thinking pattern. and, i think, it is very important to

understand the west’s thoughts. as you know, this can help me with my

examination and interaction with foreigners. secondly, i have got enough

confidence in speaking in english from your class and it took me a long time to

gain this confidence. now, i always express my ideas in english as possible as i

can. it’s great to do that. the last not the least, i find that learning english

在我的身边，有许许多多令我感动的人，其中最让我感动的莫不过是我的英语老师Miss Liang。

Miss Liang 是我的英语老师，为什么说她感动人呢，是因为她对我们的教学工作进行得无微不至。每天早上一来到学校，她都微笑着对我打招呼。有的同学请假缺课了，她总是待他回来后帮他认真地补 上落下的课。还有的同学做了些错事，她都会叫他到跟前，耐心地批评指正。在同学的面前，她显得格外亲切，好似她是我们母亲一样，我们都非常喜欢她，喜欢她讲课时流利的语言，喜欢她和同学们 交流时亲切的眼神，更喜欢她对教学无微不至的优良品质。

记得一节英语课上，和往常一样，Miss Liang 提着录音机走进教室，所不同的是，她好像有点疲惫的样子，而且没有立即叫大家上课，而是在黑板上写道：非常抱歉！顿时，全班立即”热闹“起来了， 所有同学都窃窃私语，不知道发生了什么事：Miss Liang 究竟怎么了？为什么写下这些字？是不是生病了？老师没管我们，咳了几声，在黑板上写下了一些这节课要学的英语单词，然后又咳了几声，吃 力地说：”上课！“我听见她沙哑的嗓音，才知道，原来Miss Liang 嗓子哑了！同学们都大为吃惊，Miss Liang平时嗓音动听，今天怎么突然哑了，应该是天天上课累的吧。

老师叫了一个帮手，让他读她书上写的句子，自己也在旁边指导着，每次说话都很辛苦，有时非常沙哑，有时甚至发不出声音，要咳几下才能继续。我听见Miss Liang 那沙哑的声音，恨不得举起手来， 大声说道：”Miss Liang，我来帮您讲！“

直到下课，Miss Liang那沙哑的嗓音才慢慢离开了我们耳际……

从这件事中，我体会到了Miss Liang 教学的一丝不苟，舍己为人，如果没有这些品德，她可能会在课上随便乱讲应付了事，也可能一点小咳嗽就不上课。可Miss Liang 不是这样，她为了教学呕心沥 血的精神彻底感动了我们！

My father is a classic Chinese father. He doesn‘t talk much， but I know he

loves me so much. One time， I don’t feel liking eating anything because of the

hot weather， my father goes out of the house and carry a lot of my favorite

snacks. I feel so moved. His love is so strong， I love my father.

I like to read books, because a good book, contains a wealth of knowledge

and good feelings. Reading a good book is across time and space, dialogue with

wisdom and noble people.

Reading makes me rich knowledge, purify the soul. Book is the ocean of

There was once an old goat that was very, very old; he could barely walk,

and was always sleepy during important emergencies. One day the goat went off to

eat grass among the fields.

During the time, the goat did not realize that the goat pack had gone

straight in front of him. He had no choice but to continue straight on. As soon

as he passed the hill, he found the goat pack had already crossed three other

mountains… The old goat was tired of climbing and walking, so he decided to

rest. After a short break, he was sure that the goat pack had already wiped him

away far back behind.

The goat decided to find a place to be made a shelter for him to sleep

tonight. Along the way, the old goat walked along; he trembled along the way. At

last, he found a big round cave for him to sleep in, so that he could rest his

energy and continue his journey…

The old goat didn’t even realize that this was home to the lion, king of

all animals. As soon as he approached the mouth of the cave, the lion smelled

the goat out with his nose. The lion shouted, “Who are you that dare come to my

house? I am going to destroy you, and eat you up for breakfast!!!!” the old goat

was frightened out of his wits, he wanted to run, but knew that he was not fast

enough. He closed his mouth and held his breathe, and pretended not to be

frightened or afraid.

He walked inside the cave and saw the terrifying lion king. The lion never

saw this kind of thing before, he was frightened now; and asked, “Why are you

here? And who are you? And…” Before he could even finish his speech, the g oat

answered; “I am the goat empress, and I have come to see you…” “See me?” asked

the lion, “Yes,” replied the goat ‘empress’; “I can live no much longer, and

even walking; but, before I die, I want to eat: 100 elephants, 75 wild oxen, 63

wild pigs, and 25 lions. Now I had already had: Elephants, wild oxen, and wild

pigs; I am looking for a lion to eat now!” the lion was so frightened.

“You know what empress, I am too dirty, and I should probably wash up

before you…You know, Gulp! Eat me up!” as he said those words, he backed up

towards the mouth of the cave, and rushed out immediately with his back legs

between his jaws…

Along the way, he bumped into a jackal, the jackal asked; “Hey, I am the

cranky jackal dear king; and what has gotten you in such a fright?” the lion

took a breath and answered, “There was a goat ‘empress’ in my cave that wants to

eat me!” “The goat empress? I never heard of such a thing!”

The lion replied, “Then come with me to the cave… Gulp!”

And so the lion led the jackal to his cave, the goat ‘empress’ saw them

coming, and answered; “Jackal, what do you think you’re doing? I asked you to

bring me 25 lions, but you just brought me one! I’m going to eat you both up for

breakfast!” the lion trembled and shouted at the jackal, “Jackal, you tricked me

into this trap?! How dare!”

At these words the jackal ran away, and the lion ran to a place far, far

away…

Dear parents,

Now I know clearly that you both are expecting me anxiously. I can say

nothing but thanks to you both on this special occasion, because words have

failed me when I want to express my thanks to you both for the loving care you

have shown for me, especially since I went to Senior Three. These days I have

been studying hard and have made some progress. And everything has got along

well with my college entrance examination. I have performed my ability in this

exam. I hope you both can set your mind at rest.

After this exam, I intend to help you do some housework which I have seldom

done before. And I also mean to learn to cook in order to prepare a dinner for

you both in person.

There was once a little girl named Mary that wanted a phone so badly that

her parents couldn’t help bearing her crying and got her a phone with purple

dots and a little smiley face on it.

So life went on as usual until one day. when she was walking down town, she

saw a house, filled with decorations. She knew at once that this house was

having a party for somebody. Perhaps they were celebrating a birthday, or Happy

Anniversary… Mary really wanted to enter the party, so she begged them to let

her in and have a great time. They promised to let her in as long as she could

do what they asked.

And that request was to make bread for the poor and buy milk for them to

drink. That sounded like an easy request to grant, so she used her phone to call

her dad to get some bread and milk for the poor. But there was a problem, “No

phones allowed!” cried the owner of the house standing out. He held onto Mary’s

phone and pulled it out of her hand. He deleted her phone numbers and message

box, and then he took the batteries out, in case she had some other plans.

“There, now you couldn’t use your phone anymore,” and the owner went

inside. So poor Mary used her pocket money which was for a new dress for the

school party, to buy bread and milk for the poor; she was very sad, and went

back and said that she had finished her work.

“Where is your proof?” asked the owner again, “I-I didn’t know you wanted

me to give you proof?” “Well then you are out,” and he closed the door

tightly.

Today, I saw the notice on the blackboard under the school, this week

Saturday for the mid-term examination. Mother wants me to Chinese more than 90

points in the mid-term exam, math more than 95 points, I was very nervous.

Because only three days, so I want to read quickly review unit of one to four in

the morning. Because I must surpass mother request!

since last summer, i have written to my pen pal, seda, who lives in turkey.

i became acquainted with her when i went to england for a study tour.

we stayed with the same family, and she was my roommate and classmate as

well. sometimes we went to the movies together after dinner. seda is very easy

to get along with. i will always remember the two weeks i spent with her. we

didnt forget each other and kept writing to each other after we returned home.

although i havent seen her again since i left england, i still know how she is

through letters, cards and photographs. seda tells me her secrets and also

shares her happiness and sadness with me . both of us hope that we will meet

each other somewhere one day.

maybe ill go to turkey to visit her, or shell come to taiwan to visit

me.

happy new year!

I really miss you for so many days off. Are you happy in the new year? I

have a good time this winter holiday. It snows, snowmen, snowmen, visitors,

There was once a little turtle that wanted to be the fasted animal in the

jungle, everybody laughed at him and said that he could never be the fasted

animal ever. But the turtle didn’t listen to them, and instead, he decided to

learn and study from the wild hare; he was the fasted animal in the jungle oh

yes. In fact, every animal went to learn from the hare had become the fasted

runners too. When the turtle told the hare that he wanted to be the fasted

runner in the jungle, the hare laughed high over heels aloud; “Oh, oh!” cried

the hare, “Turtle, if you want to be the fasted, then you must get that big

shell of your back, Ha-ha!”

The turtle was not very happy about what he had just heard from the hare,

and he eventually decided to prove to him that it was his duty to be the fasted

runner of the jungle. “How about this, I and you have a race;” said the turtle

suddenly, the hare laughed aloud again, “Oh turtle, turtle; please don’t tell me

that you are not going to give up!” “I am not, I have the heart inside my body,

and I do not believe that I couldn’t be the fasted runner in the jungle!” the

hare then finally agreed to race with him.

When the time arrived, the turtle got ready; when the sound began to blow,

the turtle walked along slowly. While the hare in the other case hopped about

happily. “Does he really think that he could beat me?!” shouted the hare, “That

would be a dream in his brain;” said the hare again. When he was almost at the

finish line, the hare said to him, “I shall take a rest, then when I get up the

turtle still behind my tail; and I cross the finish line, using my rest energy;”

saying that, the hare lay down asleep. The turtle still didn’t give up; he soon

found the hare, and crossed him quietly, when he reached the finish line, he

cried out loud; when the hare woke up, found the turtle still wasn’t in front of

him.

He hopped about happily, and when he reached the line, he found the turtle

already resting on a rock. The hare was so shocked that he lay down on the grass

just like that he fainted. And so the turtle became the champion; nobody ever

laughed at him ever again, and whenever some animals wanted to learn running,

they did not go to ask the hare; since he was not yet the fastest any more,

instead they went to the turtle to get advice from their new jungle running

lesson teacher.

I have many good teachers, but my favourite teacher is Miss Li. SW he is a

very good teacher.

She is very young, but her English is very good. She teaches us English

every day. Her class has so much fun.She sings songs with us, plays games with

us. We are so happy . And we learn English well. Our English are very very

good.So I like her very much.

She likes reading books and playing sports. After class, Miss Li often

plays sports with us. We are very happy. We all love her very much.

This is my favourite teacher.She is a good teacher .I like my English

teacher very much. What about you?Do you have a good teacher, too?

My summer holiday is coming soon, I start to make some plans about my

vacation. I go to travel every year, this time, I want to travel to Tibet, it is

the place I always want to go to. I have heard about Tibet many times, my

mother’s friends tell me so many wonderful things in it, so I want to go to

Tibet. This summer I will go to Tibet.

I have a good friend. Her name is Li Hua. We know each other when we were

five years old, because we have so many things in common. We become partners

soon. I like to go out for fun with her. She always knows my idea and we can

forever.

Today, early in the morning, I go out of my house with my grandma. She

walks to the square and then dances with her friends. The sky is so clean and

beautiful. The sun is shining with red color. The scenery catches my attention.

I have never noticed it before. The city in the morning is quiet and

comfortable.

In the thick forest, so live a little dog, his name is little Wolf. One
