引人观注的鳄鱼池没有了往日的喧闹。饲养鳄鱼的师傅说，鳄鱼嘴里有一层鹅黄色的膜，它能吸收大量的热量。而此时因为水里的温度比岸上温度略高，所以它们全部潜到水里找温暖去了。动物园在鳄鱼池边建有暖气房，往年气温降到7°C以下时，工作人员就想办法把半冬眠的鳄鱼一条条拉入室内保温。今年略有些改变，只是在早上和晚上抽取暖和的井水换掉鳄鱼池中冰冷的水，这样，鳄鱼就可以在水里安全过冬了。
