Nowadays, people prefer to travel by air. This is because air travel has

some advantages. First of all, airplane, the miracle created by man, is the

fastest means of transport. It takes the least time for one to travel by air

But several decades ago, people treasured their friends and maintained relatively close interpersonal relations, which is much more enjoyable than the estrangements we are experiencing.

The last factor that has made our age so uncomfortable is the abusive use of technology. Although it brings much convenience, it essentially changes human – we are no longer the master of tools, but instead the slaves of devices. We rush to metro station in order to catch an early train, sit in front of radioactive computers all day long in order to get our work done, and stay in air-conditioned rooms all summer without experiencing the natural changes outside thick cement walls. Several decades ago, people could still live closer to nature and make rational use of modern technology, which to me is the essence of human living experience.

However, the comparison between different times is itself ridiculous. The criteria could not be easily determined, and opinions are highly personal. Anyway, we have a longer life span, more advanced medical facilities, and easier traffic than our grandparent when they were children, and we should treasure the present experience. Imagination of the past might only be nostalgia – if I ask my grandparents the same question, they might as well say that our life is much better than the past generations. Who knows? 当一次次站在国旗下、师生前动情地演讲时，我都想起了几年前的一天。那天，我站在故乡学校礼堂的讲台下，拿着自己撰写的介绍写作经验的手稿，双腿颤抖地等待着主持人指引上台的语言与手势——那是我小学生涯的第一次公开演讲。尽管已经在老师和爸爸妈妈面前练习了多遍，但是我的心自从踏进这礼堂的门开始，就已慌了神：这台下坐着的可是整个三年级级部的二百四十多位同学和十几名老师呀！

就在我想办法平静下来的时候，主持人突然叫我上台演讲，我的双手拿着快要湿透了的演讲稿，站在话筒前，一字一颤地演讲着。时不时，我那不争气的双腿还“跳着舞蹈”。没过一会儿，观众席就传来了质疑的声音：“他到底能不能读下来？”“遇事这样紧张的人，还能写出好作文？”“算了，大家都干脆休息一下吧！”这时，我的心里也没底了：我到底能不能行呢？就在我对自己能力产生怀疑的时候，那时的班主任于老师投来了坚定的目光，并冲我点点头，那神情是在告诉我：“我们相信你，你能行的！”我也在心里暗暗地说：“对！我能行！”在接下来的几分钟，我便做到了曾经所期盼的“超常发挥”，自然、大方地结束了演讲。当我最后那深深地鞠躬后，得到了浪潮一般的掌声和赞扬的声音：“他写的作文真是不错！”“他真是我们的榜样啊！”

从那以后，我便从启蒙老师——于老师的手中得到了自信这件宝物。学校每次组织活动，不管能力如何，总是有我忙碌的身影出现。经过几年的锻炼，我不但变得更加自信，能力也得到了提高。到现在，不敢说是样样精通，但对于每方面也已略知一二。现在我可以说：“那次的演讲虽然不是小学六年来第一次对自己的超越，但是最重要的一次超越！

每当闲暇时光，我总是在脑海中回放小学生活那难忘的镜头，细细品味着这回意无穷的用珍珠、黄金都换不来的宝贵经历。还有短短的一个多月，我们就要向曾朝夕相处的老师、同学以及美好的小学生活挥手告别了。革命先驱者李大钊曾说过：”昨天唤不回来，明天还不确实，你能确有把握的就是今天。“

我要把毕业前仅剩的一点儿时间好好利用，争取为我六年的小学生活画上一个圆满的句号，为小学时光留下一段更加美好的回忆！

善良的人会把别人的幸福当作他自己的幸福。他把鲜花奉献给他人，把荆棘留给自己，这，就是善良的魅力。 Good people will treat others happiness as his own happiness.He dedicated the flowers to others and left the thorns to himself. This is the charm of kindness.

一个善良的人，不会因为别人衣着破旧，散发出难闻的汗臭，就冷眼相看，也不会因为别人是个干脏活的人就心存鄙视，恶语相加。相反，他会根据自己的能力，适时表现出自己的友善，施以援手。他怀着巨大的悲悯，用一颗包容一切苦难的心，看待所有的世人。因为在这个世界上，有时并不单纯需要金钱!

事实上，每个人都会遇到不如意的事情，都渴望得到帮助、理解、同情与爱护，而心地善良的人，决不会吝啬给予这些。他觉得能为别人做点什么是他的快乐，而他给予别人的同时，自己也在享受，享受着奉献的幸福。善良的人本身就象一个会发光发热的太阳，无论走到哪里，都能把光明和温暖带到哪里。他在燃烧自己的同时，也用爱的光芒照耀着他人。

一个善良的人不会只盯着别人的缺点。他能从细微之处发现别人的优点和长处，并不失时机的给予鼓励和赞美。因为他相信任何的鼓励和赞美比讥笑和斥责更有利于树立一个人的自尊和自信。他会细致入微的体贴别人的难处，并诚恳的乐于为别人分忧。因此他更赢得别人的尊重。或许，有人说：善良不一定都是好事，不一定都有魅力，不一定都会令人感动。

善良的人都通常有一颗炽热的心，以让他们的温暖从心中散发出来。善良的人都是十分可爱，因此在他们生活的环境当中受人欢迎。我曾经见过一个热心帮人的善良大叔，已经73岁了，还用他仅有的一点退休金帮助贫困学生，大叔脸上布满皱纹、满头白发，可是人们都说他还很年轻、很有魅力。

正因为善良，所以才有了魅力。

After passing the 20XX College Entrance Examination, I find my name in the enrolling list of Hechi college which many young people dream of. As a boy of 18, I am happy to go to such a famous university, so that I want to make my life colorful and fruitful in university. Heres my plan for university life:

Firstly, I am an adult of 18 years old, so I should learn to be independent, especially in my study. Teachers here will not keep an eye on me as they did in the middle school and parents will not take care of everything as they did in the past. Of course, study is my own business and priority. I will pay most of my attention to it. I think the autonomous learning is the most important for a college student. Besides, I will learn how to think of the questions critically and study my courses creatively.

Secondly, it is also important to set aside some time for relaxation because study shouldnt occupy all of my free time. I will develop my hobbies to enrich my experience and broaden my horizon. At the same time, I will participate in some associations to learn something outside of textbooks and get some understandings about society and the world.

Finally, I will make more friends on campus. It is an effective way to improve my communicative abilities and confidence. How to spend a fruitful and meaningful university life? Friends can help me because we can compete with each other, make progress together.

In short, I am looking forward to my life in university and I am sure it will be happy and fruitful.

“不以成败论英雄，不管成功与否，只要尽力了就是好样的。”这是父亲经常对我说的一句话。敞开记忆的大门，我有过许多次失败的经历，其中令我感受最深的是发生在一次英语考试中。 "Not to be a hero with defeat, whether it is success or not, as long as you try to do it." This is a word that my father often said to me.The door to open memory, I have experienced many failures, one of which makes me feel most in an English test.

我从4岁起就开始学英语了，英语水平在班里一直不错。有一天父亲对我说：“过几天有个英语比赛，你去试试吧。”我答应了。像这样的英语比赛我根本瞧不上，在我看来，去参加比赛的选手80%都是奔奖品去的，只有30%是真正想测试自己的英语水平的，半数以上都是“乌合之众”。这种小竞赛，题目肯定难不到哪儿去，随便看看就能取得好成绩。怀揣这种轻敌的心理，我只是简单翻看了一下参考书上的基础题就去了考场。

第一场考口语，那几个简单的单词对我来说简直不算什么，没多久我就把老师问的题全部答了出来。

第二场考笔答，听力20分，笔试80分。听力测试内容是书上的一篇课文，因为我只看了看基础题，课文一点没瞧，面对这部分题我傻了眼。我只好把希望寄托在笔试上，可谁知笔试部分只有少数题是基础题，剩下的全是阅读题，这时我才知道我彻底完了!

没过几天成绩单就下来了，我竟然才考了35分!看着这张不及格的卷子，泪水止不住地流下来。我拖着沉重的双腿回到家，把自己锁在房间里痛哭了一场。我对自己当初的盲目乐观、自以为是而悔恨交加，真想一把把卷子撕碎，把纪录耻辱的考卷丢进废纸篓。这时我突然想起了父亲的话，我认识到，我不是英雄，因为我没有尽力，我败给了自己，只能独饮自酿的苦水。我又一次把卷子打开，认认真真把错题重做了一遍，从中找到了自己学习上的差距、不足。

从这次竞赛中，我体会到了失败的滋味，并且明白了，自满是学习的大敌，只有虚心谨慎，扎实认真，才能最终完成一份令人满意的答卷。

Life is blending with bitter and sweet. Sometimes we may feel blue and don’t know what to do, but you just need to cheer up and find the true happiness in your life. Everyone is longing for happiness. But what is happiness? Different people have different opinions to happiness. Some people think making large sum of money and spending all of it on big mansion, expensive food, pretty clothes and fancy cars make them happy; some people think marry to the people they love and live a plain life is happiness, even though they can not afford a bigger house or a brand-new car；And some other people think that don’t need to go to work and sleep in the bed until the noon is happiness. Apparently, the definition of happiness varies from person to person.

For me, staying in good health and have a long vacation without homework is happiness. Good health is the foundation of happiness. Picture this, if I sick, I will go to the hospital, and there are a lot of funny things I can’t do because I feel uncomfortable. I will lose my appetite for the delicious food, and have no strength to go outside to play with my friends. What’s worse, in order to cure the illness, I will sallow countless pills and some of them may have side effects. Only a well function body can ensure the life to be happy. While a long vacation will give me affluent time to do the things I want to. If I can spend my time to do the things I want instead of homework, I definitely will be very happy. I really love traveling; I plan to go to Tibet on next long vacation. To see the beautiful scenes of the different places can broaden my horizon and enrich my life experience. I wish everybody find their happiness in life.
