我们的教室在博学楼的四楼，那里可以看到学校的风景。望下去，那里显然是个园子。园子里有一座亭子，看起来很优雅，上面被弯弯曲曲的藤条覆盖住了，阳光透过缝隙照到地上。旁边应该是鸡蛋花了，花瓣是雪白的，则花蕾是嫩黄的，白里透黄，显得纯洁可爱。哇!好香啊。一阵花香扑鼻而来，沁人心脾。是什么花香?我在四楼也能闻得到，看来也只有桂花才能有那么淡雅的花香。俗话说，“桂花开花，十里飘香”，果然名不虚传。我想凑近点看看那花长什么样，谁知道眼前的树遮住了视线。我挪一挪位置，看不到。讨厌!连赏花的心情都没有了。我暗自想到。

我渐渐发现，那棵树竟然长得如此高!我开始对那棵树感兴趣了，左看看，右看看，仔细观察它。它既不像榕树一般茂盛，也不像松柏一般挺立。到底是什么树呢?我摸不着头脑。它的叶子呈椭圆形，像巴掌般大。树枝不算长，也只是细细的一根。至于树干，没有杨树的挺直，没有榕树的粗壮。在春天，所有树都争着开花。它却没有用扎绿的嫩绿来点缀自己，更没有用鲜艳的花朵来装扮自己，而是始终保持着自己本来的面貌。它是四季常青的。

它不仅有刚劲有力的姿态，更有不屈不饶的品质。不管是烈日炎炎的盛夏，还是北风呼啸的寒冬，他都郁郁葱葱，昂首挺胸。在风雨中，他屹立着，好像天不怕地不怕似的，对着那风、那雨、那雷发出嘲讽的笑声，这暴风雨在这棵顽强拼搏的树面前，也只能发出那无可奈何的叹息声。
