This morning i went to the english corner which is in the park near my home. it is three years since it was founded.

有这样一则新闻引起了我的注意：众所周知，黄河，是世世代代中华人民的“摇篮”。可是，据统计，黄河在2000年来竟决口1500多次，改道26次。到底为什会出现这种情况呢?说来有趣，黄河在前1000年至前10000年来，黄河的自然条件是黄土高原最好的，正因为如此，我们的祖先才选择在这里生存。但现在，黄河变得凶猛起来，成了中华人民的一个烦。近年来，黄河含沙量大幅度提高。至于为什么会出现这种情况，专家给出以下说法：随着人口增多，人们过度砍伐树木和过度放牧，导致黄河失去了天然的保护层，进入河中的沙石越来越多，最终黄河成为中国十大危险河流之一。

1、不要浪费水。水是我们的生命的泉源，没有了水，我们就没法子生存下去。所以，我们要节约我们身边的每一滴水。

2、节约用电。很多时候，我们可以看到这种浪费电的现象：一个房间里，风扇开了好几个，甚至开着空调；音响发出震耳欲聋的声音……但房间里却连一个人影都没有，原来是在另一个房间里打电话了。

3、不要乱丢垃圾。现在，我们不管是在大街还是小巷，都可以看到垃圾步步为营，这严重影响了美观，还污染环境。还有一种现象就是，不管是在哪条河，都可以看到，小河们已经失去了往日清澈见底的面貌了，水面上漂浮着塑料袋、饮料瓶等垃圾，以及让人看了恶心的动物尸体。这些动物尸体是居民们在家里抓到的老鼠啊什么的，抓住后就随手抛进了小河的“肚子”里。

Hello, everyone. I’m Li Hua. It’s nice to speak about what we can do for the environment, and I think each of us can do a little bit to help with this problem.

The first thing we can do is to use cloth bags in stead of plastic bags when we go shopping. It helps to protect the environment. The second thing we can do is to reuse(再利用) the old textbooks as possible as we can. We should also never forget to turn off the lights when we leave the classrooms in order to save energy.
