My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a workers family. There are six people in my

family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my sister

and I.

Every member in my family works for his or her own trade①. My grandfather

and grandmother are peasants. They do farm work every day in my hometown. My

father is a senior engineer. He is now working in Africa, helping to build a

power station. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English in a middle school.

My sister, five years older than I, is a doctor in the Peoples Hospital of our

county. She loves her work and does it well. I am a middle school student. And I

am going to take this years college entrance examination. I wish that I could

be enrolled② by a famous university.

That is my family. All the members in my family live in harmony③. We love

each other devotedly.

I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the

university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in

studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises.

Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more

exercises than other courses, which made me discouraged. I spent more than ten

hours a day in studying. When I was tired, I watched TV or listened to music for

a little while. But It was a big pity that I couldnt go to the see cinema. In

addition, I had to refuse all the invitations of friends and relatives. I only

called them or sent messages in the New Year’s Eve. I desperately hoped that

there is no exam but I know it’s impossible. The only thing I can do is to study

hard to get good scores and can be admitted to Tsinghua University.

8月16日到8月20日，我们全家坐上了吉祥航空的飞机，来到了三亚美丽的亚龙湾。

第一天和第二天我们是住在喜来登酒店的，而第三天和第四天我们是住在铂尔曼酒店里的缅甸别墅里。

下面，就让我来给大家讲述一下我们整个旅途吧。

我们是下午两点钟下的飞机。

下了飞机后，我非常兴奋地说：“啊，我们终于来到三亚美丽的亚龙湾啦!”

离开机场后，我们坐在爸爸租的一辆携程的车子上，路上爸爸跟我说：“亚龙湾是三亚最美丽的岛屿。”从机场到亚龙湾的喜来登酒店路上一共用了半个小时呢!

等我们来到了喜来登酒店，并入住好了后，我、爸爸还有妈妈都迫不及待地穿上了游泳衣跑到了游泳池里开始游泳。

一个半小时后，我们游完泳，就走回了喜来登酒店里洗澡。

洗完澡后，我们整整在房间里呆了两个多小时。

大约18点时，我们走到了大堂里的中餐厅里吃饭，其中我最喜欢的菜是：银鳕鱼。

第二天的中午我们离开了喜来登酒店，来到了铂尔曼酒店里。铂尔曼酒店的缅甸别墅很有特色，推门进去有个客厅和小院子，客厅和房间的中间是个大大的私人游泳池。我们一进别墅就迫不及待地进入到游泳池中游泳了。习习的海风吹在我们脸上凉快极了，晚上躺在院子的躺椅上看着天上繁星点点，似乎亚龙湾的月亮也特别地明亮。

美好的日子总是飞快地过去了，一转眼就是我们回程的时间了。美丽三亚带给我太多美丽的回忆了。我们期待着下一次更美好的旅程!

Today we visited Red Star Farm.

Early in the morning, we met at the school gate and went there together.

About two hours later, we arrived. On arriving there, we were given a warm

welcome by the farm workers. Then one of the workers showed us around the farm.

We were very glad to see the crops and vegetables growing so well. At noon, we

had a picnic happily.

After the picnic, we enjoyed ourselves in the sunshine. We listened to

music, dancing and singing. Some were talking happily and even two of our

classmates played chess. How time flies! It was time for us to leave though we

暑假我还爱沐浴在书香的海洋里。踢完球回到家，吃着冰糕，人称“书呆子”的我，会一声扑腾连滚带爬的上床，翻开喜欢的书，拓展课外知识，探索其中的奥妙。《三国演义》是我最爱看的书，虽然早已看了好几遍，但我还是反复诵读，手不释卷。

玩电脑、看书、下棋……无一不是好的选择，可最惬意的是家长带着出去旅游了。考不好当然不能去，这次考得一般。不过，父母为了开阔我们的视野，还是决定带着我们出去“见见世面”，可以游山玩水，也可以探索大自然的鬼斧神工，了解大自然，一举好几得。

虽然我说了很多玩的，但是作业还是要做的，我会计划安排好时间，不耽误学习，也不耽误玩，关健在于自己。

还有，我远方的小表妹暑假也快回来了，我很高兴，我们兄妹几个又能团聚了，真好!

The Yangzte River is the longest river in China. And its important and helpful to us Chinese. But these days the Yangtze River is bringing us serious floods.

Many villages were destroyed by floods. The floods made hundreds of millions of people lose their homes, relatives and friends. Many children cant go to school as usual .Now the foods have drawn the attention of the whole world. People from abroad have offered their help too. In China, millions of soldiers are busy fighting against the floods. They are working very hard. Many of them have lost their lives in their attempt to save the villagers.

Though we cant help them to fight against floods, we should help them to rebuild their homeland. We can present them our pocketmoney and clothes. I believe most of the people will return to their homeland in the near future.

一次新的体验 A new experience

Yesterday I did commonweal in library to earn my public service

scores(which is similar to the compulsory credits).I arrived library at 8’clock

in the morning,a librarian let me to wipe the mirror in every toilet from one to

six floor.Then I started to wipe the mirrors.It was been two hours after I

finished all work.I was very tired,but looking at the shiny and clean mirrors I

had wiped, I felt very happy.To be honest,I had never done the things like it at

home,so it was a new experience to me,and it make me realize the hard work of my

parent.

昨天，我在图书馆做公益去获取公益实数(类似于学分)。我早上8点到达图书馆，一个图书馆管理员让我去擦一楼到六楼的厕所里的镜子。然后

今年夏天，我去领略了杭州西湖的美丽，领略了杭州西湖的高雅。

来到西湖边上，清澈的湖水就映入了我的眼帘，说那水是绿色的，但又不大绿;说那水是蓝色的，那又不大蓝。那水是蓝中带绿，绿中带蓝的，犹如一块巨大的祖母绿宝石。

在西湖的一侧，七八朵茶花开得正艳，娇嫩的花瓣弱不禁风地倚在荷叶上，金黄的花蕊引来了过路的飞虫;几条形态各异的鲤鱼在水中散步，为水增添了几分古色。

在湖的两边，栽满了柳树，微风抚过树枝，叶子沙沙地响着，如同大自然的琴声那般悦耳。夜晚，湖面上的游船就亮起了五彩的灯，来湖边游玩的人也多了，其中有一部份是来看音乐喷泉的，在晚上8点，伴随着动听的音乐，西湖边的一排喷泉就在夜色中喷了出来，五彩斑斓，千变万化，如同在夜色中舞蹈的精灵，是那样轻盈、美丽。

美好的一天

June 13thFriday

It is a fine day today. There are some clouds in the sky， but the sun is

shining. Mr Jones is with his family. They are walking on the bridge. There are

some boats on the river. Mr Jones and his wife are looking at them. Sally is

looking at a big ship. The ship is going under the bridge. Tim is looking at an

aeroplane. The aeroplane is flying over the river.

今天，天气晴朗，空中有少许云朵，天阳在照耀着。琼斯先生和他的家人在一起。她们在桥上走着，河面上有几艘小船，琼斯先生和他的夫人正看着它们，莎莉正看着一艘大船。它正从桥下经过。蒂姆在看着一架飞机，这架飞机正从河上空飞过。

当充满乐趣而又丰富多彩的暑假开始时，妈妈为了让我的暑期生活过得有意义，就给我报了羽毛球兴趣班，正巧我的同学黄贝尔也参加了，这下我就更高兴了，因为有伴儿啦！

开始，我还以为在室内场馆打羽毛球会有空调呢！可到了那里，我才知道根本就没有空调，连个电风扇都没有，站在那儿，不动都会出汗，所以才打了一会儿的球，我就像热锅上的蚂蚁一样，感觉快被那阵阵热浪给烤熟了。

几天练下来以后，大家都有了一定的基础。有一天，教练对我们说：“大家休息一下，好好回忆回忆我们学过的发球、接球以及如何使球过网。”话音刚落，我就像箭一样飞向我休息的地方，一口气把一瓶雪碧喝个精光。啊，实在是太爽了！一会儿，教练说：“我要对你们进行测试。”没想到第一个竟轮到我，“啪”的一声响，教练发的球直朝我飞来，我敏捷地用正确的姿势接了球，教练又毫不费力地把球打回来了，就这样你来我往打了好多回合，我就汗流浃背，气喘吁吁了，教练看我那样儿，禁不住笑着鼓励我要加强练习，增强体力与耐力，我听了连连点头。

在假期中我不断练习，不断进步，现在我已经喜欢上了打羽毛球，你瞧这既掌握了技术，还锻炼了身体，同时又使我的暑期生活变得丰富多彩呢！
