书，带我们进入知识的海洋;书，带我们畅游神秘的历史;书，带我们进入梦想的天堂;书是一种对人类有益的营养品;书是人类进步的阶梯。

读书的好处可远远不止这些，还有很多很多，数不胜数。我建议同学们多看些有用的好书，因为看书不但可以增长我们的知识和见识，而且还可以提高我们的作文水平，增强我们的语言能力……行动起来吧，多看些好书，一定会收获不少的。

每到春节，大人们总是忙着置办年货，今年也不例外，爸爸抽空带我去买鞭炮。

我们来到了卖鞭炮的摊位前，看见各种各样的鞭炮，有摔炮，有冲天炮，有礼花炮，还有旋转炮……看得我眼花缭乱，我跳着嚷着指着这个让爸爸买，那个也让爸爸买。最后，考虑到我的安全，爸爸和我商量了一下，我们买了冲天炮和旋转炮。

到了晚上，我和爸爸、奶奶和哥哥一起去紫荆广场放鞭炮。我把一个旋转炮点着了，它像长翅膀的蜻蜓一样飞上了天空，霎时就不见了。突然，我旁边雷声大作，原来是有人在放大礼花炮。五彩缤纷的礼花冲向天空，瞬间爆炸，使人眼花缭乱，目不睱接，漂亮极了。

春节能放鞭炮我真高兴，今年是我过得最快乐的一个春节。

过年了，我急急忙忙地吃完了年夜饭，和我的哥哥、弟弟到楼下找了一个比较安全的地方去放花炮。

开始放花炮了，我先放了一个甩炮。我用力一甩，只听“叭”的一声，出现了一道强烈的火光。顿时，弟弟吓得满脸通红，跑进了车库，几乎要哭了起来。我连忙跑过去安慰他，对他说：“不要怕，这只会发出响声，不会伤害到人的。”弟弟听了我的话后，就鼓足了勇气，拿了一个甩炮，用力一甩，也放了一个，他觉得非常好玩，不由自主地笑了起来。

接着，哥哥拿了几十个擦炮，把它们摆成“一”字形，用打火机点燃了导火线，只听见“噼里啪啦，噼里啪啦”的声音，震耳欲聋。我们还放了超大鱼雷，我把它埋进土里，点燃导火线，只听“砰”的一声，泥土被炸了一个大洞，我们高兴得手舞足蹈，真高兴啊!

我们开始放礼花了，只见天空五彩缤纷，一颗颗五颜六色的烟花，飞空降落，一会儿像仙女散花，一会儿像信号弹飞射，时明时暗，把天空点缀成了鲜花的世界。

我的礼花品种很多，有彩明珠、彩珠筒、宝丽金和响尾蛇导弹。最好看的要数宝丽金了。我点燃引线，冒出来的火花就像是一条巨龙在飞舞，让人看得眼花缭乱，目不暇接，美丽极了。再有几分钟就要到十二点了，我挂好了一串串鞭炮，等了一会儿，爸爸大声说：“十二点了。”我点燃已挂好的鞭炮，顿时震天动地的鞭炮声迎来了又一个新年!家家户户的烟花交错升飞，把我们整个城市给沸腾了，表示着牛年更旺更幸福。

我呢?明年也要像烟花一样，努力进步，开出最美最鲜艳的花来。

Spring Festival is the most important, interesting festival in China.

Before the Spring Festival, everyone is very busy. They want the Spring Festival to be a new beginning, so everyone is busy cleaning the room. They keep the room tidy. This is the first thing to welcome the Spring Festival.

The elderly take children to buy snacks and fireworks. But parents just stay at home to make tasty meals for dinner. On the evening of New Year’s Eve, my parents and my sister have dinner with me. We have a good time. After dinner, Oh! Yeah! My father is ready to give us red pockets. Oh, how nice the red pockets are! My sister and I both all say, “Peace all year round to my parents! Now, give us red pockets.” My parents give us the red pockets at once with a smile on their faces.

What a wonderful time we have!

寒假过去了，可我还在回味寒假中的一件趣事——放鞭炮。放鞭炮是新年的习俗，对我们小孩子来说，在新年是最有趣的事情。

我们在除夕那一晚，来到外婆家，在客厅坐了一下，表弟们便吵着要放鞭炮。刚好我们大家也买了些鞭炮。我就拿着鞭炮迫不及待的，来到门前，开始放鞭炮。我们飞快地来到了门前，迫不及待的撕开了装鞭炮的油纸袋，一打开我看到鞭炮的种类也真不少：冲天炮、弹地毛、降落伞。最常见的炮仗也有，烟花也有不少。我先让他们点几枝香过来。一切准备就绪以后，我们便可以开始放了。“先放什么好呢？”我正在沉思。突然，表弟对我说：“先放‘降落伞’吧。我还没看过呢！”其他孩子也表示赞成。“好！”我装着一副大人的样子说。

接着我把“降落伞”放在平地上，点燃了导火索，便走到一边去。只见“降落伞”“吁”的一声就飞到了天空中，然后“啪”的爆了，最有趣的来了：一个玩具小人拿着降落伞从天而降。就好像是日本人来侵略中国的战斗机爆炸了，大家看到这个情形都高兴得连拍手掌。跟着放“弹地毛”吧！我把香递给表弟，让他来放。只见他把炮放在空地上，小心翼翼地点燃了以后，便像老鼠似得远远的。

“弹地毛”马上开始分散，到处乱窜，还闪着不同颜色的火光，可一会儿便熄灭了。我不禁感慨：它的“生命”虽然很短，但它也对人们做出了贡献，给人们带来了快乐！

正在我思考的时候，妈妈上来了，高兴地说：“大家一起放烟花吧！”“好啊！”我高兴的说。就这样，在黑夜中，他们拿着各自的烟花，在欢快地走着、跳着。我不禁笑了起来！

今年的放鞭炮，让我十分难忘！

My happy Spring Festival After the New Year’s Eve dinner with my family， we began to sit down in front of the TV， and enjoyed 2008 CCTV Spring Festival gala。 At about ten o’clock， the black sky was lightened by lots of fireworks with colorful light and happy sound。 We stop watching the CCTV 2008 CCTV Spring Festival gala， and began to climb up the balcony to see the beautiful fireworks view， and my father took some fireworks up， and we also began to play fireworks。 What a beautiful night。 Later， my cell phone was ringing all the time。 I received lots of short messages from my friends and classmates。 They all blessed me happy New Year。 I gave same bless to them by sending back the happy words。 At almost 12 pm， I made a wish in New Year， and began to sleep。 When I woke up in the first day of New Year， my father and mother gave two red packets to me， and blessed me that everything will go well on me。 I thanked them， and accepted the red packets happily。 I have been waiting for the day that I can get lots of red packets。 This is my happiest time of the year。 After lunch， both my family went to the park， the streets， and the shops or supermarkets。 We took many photos in the park， and bought many things in the shops or supermarket。 I met my uncles and aunts， they all blessed us happy New Year and gave me red packets。 I was too happy to count how many red packets I got。 The following days， we visited my grandparents and some of relatives。 We happily talk with them， and brought some presents to them， and also received some New Year presents。 This was how did I spend my Spring Festival; I really enjoyed myself in Spring Festival。

and know our history. But for some people, reading is not their priority. They

will choose to watch movies to have fun. However, I think people can benefit a

First of all, reading can let us know what have happened in history. Since

history is recorded in books, if we read books, then we can not only what have

happened in history but also we can better understand the great figures of the

age.

Secondly, reading can enrich our knowledge. By reading, we can know

different kinds of things, how things happen and how to avoid bad things from

happening. Books record a wide range of things about life. Through reading, we

can know various aspects of life.

Thirdly, reading teaches us skills. There are so many books about how to

learn a certain language, how to get a good job, how to become popular in your

circle, how to cook and so on. Thus, these kinds of books can make us more

skillful if we do a certain thing.

All in all, we can find lots of benefits through reading.
