My sister was fond of traveling. Ever since graduating, she had been

determined to organize a trip to an old temple. Since transporting fare was

expensive, she decided to use a bicycle to cycle there not caring about the

up her mind to do something, no one could persuade her to change her mind.

Finally, we gave in as usual though we preferred to take a train. After we

prepared everything, including the schedule, reliable weather forecast and the

Our journey was along a river flowing from a high altitude. Our pace was

slow because the river frequently had many sharp bends through deep valleys,

where the water seemed to boil. Just as I recorded in my journal, it was really

a hard journey. But we also enjoyed great views. One night, I put my head on my

front of our cave went out at midnight, I found the sky so beautiful!

Today was the second day of our Hong Kong visit. I was very happy as yesterday. But I felt tired a lot. I didnt want to stay at guesthouse, so I planted to go window-shopping with my parents in Times Square. There were many kinds of goods, but you could choose the one you liked best easily。Also, there were many designer-label stores in Times Square, such as DNKY、MAXMARA、MAX&CO、BOSS and so on. During National Day my parents and I went to Hong Kong in South China. It is a beautiful seaside city because there are many places of interest in it. At first we visited my cousins house. His house is quite different from mine. It is big and clean. Each room is decorated in different kinds of styles. Those made us feel excited. And then we visited Hong Kong Disneyland. It is one of the most famous theme parks in the world and includes four parks: Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Adventureland. There we did some meaningful activities, for example, we took some wonderful photos with Disney characters, watched all kinds of shows, had lunch in a fast food restaurant and went to buy some souvenirs in Main Street. Finally, we went to many other interesting places. In all we stayed in Hong Kong for five days. It was a really exciting trip and we all had a good time.

on a summer vacation i travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. when i use my feet and walk on a grass covered path or among the hills i feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. and when i travel on foot i get more freedom. i can plan my own schedule. i can choose my own route. i can stop where i like. and i can see things and people that i might miss if i travel on a train or on a bus.

Hong Kong and Macao are parts of China in history， but they were separated from the motherland for some political reasons. China has been getting richer and stronger since its opening to the outside world. On July 1， 1997， Hong Kong finally returned home. On December 20， 1999， Macao returned home， too. Great changes have taken place in both Hong Kong and Macao. It shows the development and great strength of our country.

Taiwan is an intergral part of China. The Chinese people as well as most of the people from Taiwan are looking forward to the day on which Taiwan will return home. We are sure that day will come sooner or later.

Shanghai. It was one of the biggest city is China. The night view in Shanghai

was more beautiful than Beijing. We visited the TV tower of “东方明珠”. It was the

third tallest tower in the world. Standing in the tower you could see the whole

city. In the evening, we lived in a hotel with 25 floors. I was very excited

that evening.

This trip took us seven days and we went back to Beijing by plane. The

plane was very very big. There were three engine rooms. I felt happy and I would

never forget the trip.

If I were to leave my home for a year, there is one thing I definitely

would take with me: my cell phone. With my cell phone, I could call my friends

or family if I ever was lonely, needed advice, or just wanted to talk.

A Trip by Car

I often make a trip by trains because its both cheap and comfortable. Last winter holidays I traveled in a car for the first time in my life. At first I didnt feel well. But this kind of feeling didnt last long. the trip was exciting. While travelling in a car, we could stop at any time if we wanted to enjoy the view

outside. the fields, the mountains and rivers were really very nice. On the way we visited many places of interest and took a lot of photos. It was an unforgettable experience for me.

I went hiking to a mountain with my friends last summer.
