整本书中，每个人都是一个孤独的个体。从家族第一个霍赛阿卡迪奥，到最后一个具有家族明显特征的奥雷良诺。从高傲果敢轰轰烈烈的奥雷良诺上将到精力充沛平凡而伟大的乌苏拉老妈妈，从纯洁如天使的俏姑娘雷梅苔丝到喜欢热闹以至于娶了两个老婆的双胞胎之一。
