At present, Tom went for another girl for Becky. Yet, when Becky knew that Tom once loved Lawrence (it was probably childish thoughts), she refused Tom. Everybody wore a black suit, and they prayed something along with the priest. Just then, they saw somebody entering the gate, and what they saw was unbelievable. Three young souls came out from their coffins and showed up in front of everybody! The change of the atmosphere was imaginable. Aunt Polly, Joe Harper’s mother, Mary and Sid were astounded to find that Tom came so vivid in front of them, and so Tom and Joe became a hero in the school, even in the town.

The real adventures of Tom were finding the treasures. However, I felt that I had no energy to write more…

The man who is working is the happiest one in the world, no matter in which period. That’s a truth the book ordinary world wants to tell us. The book’s time span lasts from the 1975 to 1985, the turbulent years in Chinese history. The story happened in a small village called Shuangshui village. Almost the whole book is describe the life and people in Shuangshui village. During that ten years, the Cultural Revolution has came to an end, Deng Xiaoping came into power,a new mode of production-- household contract responsibility system with remuneration linked to output has came out. All of these changes lead to the happen of the story. Shungshui village and it’s people is just like a miniature picture of the whole China and it’s people. The book included every aspect of the society that time. Lu Yao wanted to use a kind of realism style of writing to draw the outline of a great social picture scroll. The pedagogical meaning I get from this book is a kind of profound understanding to the peasant in our own country. On the other hand, I do really like Lu Yao’s starting point---ordinary world. Their world is ordinary, this is just one of the tens of thousands of villages in loess plateau. But Lu Yao have seen the character out of the common in the protagonists. Take Sun shaoping as an example, he had a secondary education and through a self-study came to a undergraduate level. The author put many excellent qualities to this leading role. All the roles in Lu Yao’s novel are ordinary people, but all the marvelous characters in their body made them different.

Pride and Prejudice is my favorite novel, which impresses me for a long time. It describes a love story mainly between Elisabeth, who I like the best, and a rich and proud man, Darcy.

The story began with the arrival of a crowd of rich men who rent a house near the Bennet. In a ball, Elisabeth gave such a bad impression on Darcys first pride that she refused Darcys first proposal. Darcy was so surprised by Elisabeths refusal that he loved Elisabeth more deeply. And Elisabeths antipathy(厌恶，憎恨) made Darcy realize his shortcomings. He was not angry about Elisabeths censure, but also he changed his previous proud attitude. During Elisabeths travel in Darcys manor(庄园)。 Darcy was very nice to her uncle and aunt, different from previous proud attitude. When one of Elisabeths sisters ran away with Wickham, Darcy helped Elisabeth find her sister and prevent her sister from the loss of reputation, with nobody knowing that it was he who helped the Bennet. So many changes in Darcy eliminated(消除) Elisabeths prejudice. At last it end with their marriage.
