How I Spent My Summer Vacation

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. 如果千年后人类不想沦为那种后果，那就保护环境从现在做起。

说起保护环境，其实大家随时随地都可以看到这样的标语，但是真正做的有几人？保护环境并不是很宏伟的工程，应该首先从个体做起， 作为个体的我们，总是认为自己的所作所为微不足道，保护环境和自己无关，于是在生活中也从不注意这点，那么一个人这么想，所有人都这么想，那只会加快我们灭亡的步伐，勿以恶小而为之，勿以善小而不为 ，保护环境对于我们很简单，不用你那么上心的刻意去做，只需要我们每个人在生活中举手投足间尽力做到对环境有益就行了，那么大家的意识提高了，素质也提高了，我相信环境保护不再会是贴在墙上的标语，希望“保护环境，从我做起”不再是空话。

其次，发达国家的环境问题是由工业化引起的，也就是说企业是大部分污染的罪魁祸首，俗话说，没有利益的企业就不是企业，可是这也导致了现在企业失去了他们该有的道德，为了追求经济效益，减少应该在环保上花费的经济费用，将废气排放至空气中，污染空气，将废水排放至河流中，污染水源，将废渣堆积至田地中，污染土地。这是在间接破坏着大众的利益，破坏着自己子子孙孙的利益。企业只会看到眼前的利益，这也是人类自私的一面。最根本的还是企业负责人要有道德心，要往长远的方向来看，做到环保与利益平衡，这样我相信企业不但会越做越火，而且会越来越长久。

最后，要规范约束这些行为的就是具有最高权力的机关——政府，我们国家的环保部门确实是个摆设，没有真正的权利，而且国家对一些环境上的事也是睁一只眼闭一只眼，因为我们国家正处于发展的关键时期。我认为国家应该给予环保部门相应的权利，因为正是这个时候，我们才要控制好环境问题，发达国家都有教训，“伦敦烟雾事件”，“洛杉矶光化学污染事件”，这都是令我们反思的活生生的例子，我们应该做到提前预防，有备无患。政府部门应该对环境问题加大整治力度，不能再像过去那样。政策也应该在环境方面做出些相应的调整来应对环境问题。
