我喜欢逛书店。几乎每个月，爸爸都会带我去书店逛上几次。在书店里，我先把书架上的书粗略地翻一遍，感觉喜欢的，就让老爸先保管着。等到书架上的书翻阅得差不多了，肚子“咕咕”叫了，我们这才罢手。买单前把前面选好的书再选一遍，就OK了。我买的书内容比较广泛，有诗歌散文、童话故事、外国名著、儿童小说等等。这些书让我大开眼界，增长知识，对我的学习也帮助不少。
买回来的书，我不会让它们静静地躺在书柜里。我会把它们分散到每个房间的角落，一有空闲时间，就顺手拿过来看一看。比如，我会在书桌的抽屉里放上几本快餐类的杂志，每当早晨妈妈给我梳头（我是长发，不好梳）或者做题累的时候，这些书都是我缓解疲劳的最佳拍档。上厕所的时间我也不放过，顺手拿起漫画、笑话等，书中油墨的香味盖住了厕所里的异味，可以让我津津有味地读着。晚上洗脚时，从沙发底下拿出我爱看的儿童小说，一边泡着脚，一边看着书。每天泡脚十分钟，日积月累，我读完了《马小跳》、《北极公主》、《我可以抱你吗，宝贝》等。临睡前，从枕头下悄悄拿出藏起的书，《哈姆雷特》、《简·爱》、沈石溪笔下的《老虎哈雷》就是在这个时候“认识”的。
