Trees on the hills have been cut down and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers.Furthermore, wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. Pollution is, in fact, threatening our existence.

The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized these problems. 这是一个阳光明媚的中午，我和妈妈高高兴兴地下楼散步，无意中，我发现在绿油油的草坪上有一个废旧的、脏兮兮的电池。电池可是危害我们生存环境的一大杀手!一粒小小的钮扣电池可污染600立方米水，相当于一个人一生的饮水量;一节一号电池烂在地里，能使一平方米的土地失去利用价值，并造成永久性公害。想到这，我跑到妈妈跟前把这件事儿说了一遍，我又说：“妈妈，我想把废电池扔到垃圾箱里。”妈妈觉得我说得很有道理，我欢快地跑到废电池旁边，心想：我真是做了一件有意义的事啊!我轻轻地捡起废电池，扔进了垃圾箱里。

“勿以善小而不为，勿以恶小而为之。”作为一名小学生，我们要从我做起，从小事儿做起，从身边做起，从现在做起，捡起地上每一片纸屑，爱护花草树木，关爱小动物。让我们一起去寻找绿的世界，让我们的世界变得更加美好!
