In folklore, the term ”an eastern purple cloud is drifting” became a metaphor for auspicious events after a purple cloud was seen drifting eastward immediately before the arrival of an ancient philosopher, LaoZi, to the Hanghu Pass. Here, purple is associated with auspicious developments. The word jin (forbidden) is self-explanatory as the imperial palace was heavily guarded and off-explanatory as the imperial palace was heavily guarded and off-limits to ordinary people.

Manpower and materials throughout the country were used to build the Forbidden City. A total of 230,000 artisans and one million laborers were employed. Marble was quarried from fangshan Country Mount Pan in Jixian County in Hebei Province. Granite was quarried in Quyang County in Hebei Province. Paving blocks were fired in kilns in Suzhou in southern China. Bricks and scarlet pigmentation used on the palatial walls came from linqing in Shandong Province .Timber was cut ,processed and hauled from the northwestern and southern regions.

The structure in front of us is the Meridian Gate. It is the main entrance to the forbidden City. It is also knows as Wufenglou(Five-Phoenix Tower). Ming emperors held lavish banquets here on the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar year in hornor of their counties .They also used this place for punishing officals by flogging them with sticks.

Qing emperors used this building to announce the beginning of the new year. Qing Emperor Qianglong changed the original name of this announcement ceremony from ban li(announcement of calendar)to ban shou(announcement of new moon )to avoid coincidental association with another Emperor` s name, Hongli, which was considered a taboo at that time. Qing Dynasty emperors also used this place to hold audience and for other important ceremonies. For example,when the imperial army returned victoriously from the battlefield ,it was here that the Emperor presided over the ceremony to accept prisoners of war.

The Forbidden City is divided into an outer and an inner count.We are now standing on the southernmost part of the outer count. In front of us lies the Gate of supreme Harmony .The gate is guarded by a pair of bronze lions ,symbolizing imperial power and dignity. The lions were the most exquisite and biggest of its kind. The one on the east playing with a ball is a male, and ball is said to represent state unity. The other one is a female. Underneath one of its fore claws is a cub that is considered to be a symbol of perpetual imperial succession. The winding brook before us is the Golden Water River. It functions both as decoration and fire control .The five bridges spanning the river represent the five virtues preached by Confucius :benevolence, righteousness, rites, intellence and fidelity. The river takes the shape of a bow and the north-south axis is its arrow. This was meant to show that the Emperors ruled the country on behalf of God.

作为校长，我也要向在座的所有毕业生致谢，我和很多同事讲过，来到聊大这半年多的时间里，给予我最多感动的就是可爱的同学们，这其中有创造了“聊大现象”的西部志愿者，你们体现着聊大人的实干与奉献;有展现“聊大气派”的专业文化与军政素质全面过硬的国防生，你们凸显了聊大人的责任和担当;还有塑造“聊大品牌”的连年夺取国内外龙舟大赛冠军的龙舟队员们，以及具有“聊大风范”的多次站在环球春晚舞台上的舞蹈专业同学们，你们展现着聊大人的勤奋与拼搏、专业与敬业。我知道，在今年商学院的毕业生中，有一位陈云堂同学，他手握企业培训师、心理咨询师、人力资源师等5张证书，凭借大学期间敢为人先的四次创业，以自信、稳健的表现，赢得了天津卫视《非你莫属》中多位大咖的青睐。我还知道，我校理工学院国防毕业生秦蓁，作为108名“国家奖学金获奖学生代表”之一，被《人民日报》报道。同学们!衷心地感谢你们，虽然在今天这个场合，我无法一一报出你们每个人的名字，但我知道，正是你们，推动着聊大的日新月异!

传承百年办学传统，独立办学近半个世纪，聊大人以立德树人、引领社会为己任，秉承“敬业、博学、求实、创新”的校训，发扬“崇教、尚学、敦厚、奋进”的聊大精神，艰苦奋斗，矢志不渝，为国家建设和经济社会发展培养了大批优秀人才，近20万名校友遍布海内外。你们在校的这几年中，学校通过了本科教学工作审核评估、获批了省一流学科和高水平应用型立项建设重点专业(群)、持续优化了育人环境、提升了办学质量。进入新的历史阶段，今天的聊大正在以更高的追求，更开放的视野，更宽广的格局，扎实推进学科突破与一流学科建设以及学校综合改革，力争早日实现一流区域综合性大学发展目标。

同学们!你们都是学校建设与发展的重要参与者与见证者。我知道，你们也曾饱含着对母校未来的期望，对学校的美中不足进行“吐槽”，也曾由于承受成长中的烦恼，对于自己和他人的不尽如意产生“恼怒”。这些都是大学时代不可或缺的内容，因为你们是校友!这些都是青春岁月里光阴的故事，还是因为你们是校友!请记住这条流经校园清澈的徒骇河吧，它流淌着大学时代无数的美好时光，闪烁着美丽的清纯与青春的光芒。大家既然是校友，那相聚就是一团火，散去就是满天星!校友的内在价值与意义又岂能会止于一些浮在表面的现象呢?!

一代人有一代人的生活，一代人有一代人的使命。建立更好的自己，才能建立更好的未来。最近美国正向心理学家研究后认为，坚毅是人生成功的第一要素。坚毅是对长期目标的持续激情及持久耐力，是不忘初衷、专注投入、坚持不懈，是一种包涵了自我激励、自我约束和自我调整的性格特征。坚守是坚毅的前提，没有坚守就难得坚毅，有了坚守就有可能具有了坚毅。在这个重要时刻，我愿以一名对学生怀有万千不舍和希冀的老师身份，送给大家“坚守”二字，与大家共勉。

一是坚守大道，德行天下。“大道之行也，天下为公。”大道不是小道，不是邪道，更不是无道。大道至简，简而又简，损而又损，终归大道。少就是多，空白处皆是画境。哲学家梭罗说：“我最大的本领是需要很少。”在当今这样一个飞速发展、充满诱惑的世界里，我们既享受着科技经济飞速发展带来的新奇，又承受着社会转型带来的焦虑。但无论何时何地，不论正在做和将要做什么，希望大家都要保持一颗赤子之心，坚守做人的本分和初心，在踏踏实实、平平凡凡中，坚守对真善美的执着追求，做好人、行正道、担正义。古希腊哲学家说，一个快乐幸福的人是有德性的人。有德性的人须有天下情怀而非一己之私，须奉行核心价值观而非旁门左道。人生所有的胜利终归都是价值观的胜利。没有正确价值观引领的人生，将可能是一片迷茫与荒芜;没有正确价值观的人永远都不可能是自己人生的主宰者，伟大或强大就更无从谈起。

“全国师德标兵”、我校马克思主义学院的李海英教授，就为我们树立了很好的榜样。李海英教授执教30余年，退休后又主动返回到教学一线，熟悉他的人都知道他的“名言”：“如果有来生，我还愿做思政课教师，我还愿在聊城大学工作!”教学中，李海英教授用足了“苦功夫”“笨功夫”，他不吸烟不喝酒，早睡早起，课前再喝上一杯浓茶或咖啡让自己兴奋起来;每次开课，他都把自己的各种联系方式写到黑板上，征求学生的困惑难题，给予学生精神关怀与鼓励支持。课比天大，以生为本，李海英教授身上所彰显的，正是作为一名教师的初心、德行与道义。脚踏实地，不浮不躁、不断学习和实践，持续积累和提高，就是德之所在;不为虚名小利的得失所困，不为一时一事的成败所拘，坚持将自己的事业做下去，让自己生活得更有尊严、更有价值，就是功之所在;一个温馨的家、简单的衣着、健康的饮食，就是乐之所在。我想，这种精神也许是大学能够给同学们留下的最好的纪念品，也是大家和大学精神保持联系的最佳途径。

二是坚守底线，担当奉献。做人与做事都须有底线，底线思维是“有守”和“有为”的有机统一。人的一生，从某种意义上说，就是一场自己对自己的战争。我们要让积极打败消极，让高尚打败鄙陋，让真诚打败虚伪，让宽容打败计较，让快乐打败忧郁。人生在世，是要天天劳作的，劳作便是功德。至于自己该做哪一种劳作，全看自己的选择如何，境地如何。因自己的选择、境地，做一种劳作做到圆满，便是天地间第一等人。庄子说“用志不分，乃凝于神”;孔子说“其为人也，发愤忘食，乐以忘忧，不知老之将至云尔”。我们追求的不应该是豪华的殿堂，我们追求的应是诗意的栖居;我们不应该只有眼前的利益，还应该有诗和远方;我们不是芦苇，我们有我们的思想;美善人生，予人以优雅和从容;涵养德性，让社会增加热度和深度。我们应该具有担当奉献的精神，爱因斯坦把摆脱自我和有益社会作为判断人的价值的标准，也就是说，我们的价值应该体现在自我解放的程度与奉献社会的多少。我们应该做有教养，有担当，有品格，有情怀，有终极人生关怀的精神追求者和实践者。

我校西部志愿者就是这方面的表率。农学院2010届毕业生官帅，主动放弃发达地区的高薪工作，到服务地新疆建设兵团开展志愿工作。被分配到农七师131团牛场后，官帅每天只休息三四个小时，用半个月的时间，将所在牛场的近3000头牛9年的电子档案全部补齐，同时还考取了全国职业兽医师资格证，成为全团第一个拥有处方权的兽医。官帅为产后奶牛输液，冬季输液器里的液体经常冻住，官帅就把吊瓶和输液器揣在怀里“保暖”，蹲在奶牛身边，一瓶一瓶地给奶牛挂吊瓶。当然像官帅一样感人的事迹还有很多很多。我知道，就在你们中间，今年又有80名同学，将循着师哥师姐的奋斗足迹，在西部辽阔广袤的土地上，用执着和坚强描绘大写的青春。

一所大学的价值，应以它的学生在毕业后对社会、对国家、对人类的贡献为依归。“位卑未敢忘忧国”，天下没有白费的努力，要用豪情锐气书写人生。诗人鲁藜《泥土》诗中写道：“老是把自己当做珍珠，就时时有被埋没的痛苦。把自己当做泥土吧，让众人把你踩成一条道路。”

三是坚守理想，开创未来。每个人都有一定的理想，这种理想决定着每个人努力和判断的方向。胡适任北大文学院院长时曾告诫学生，毕业的堕落可分两类：一是抛弃学生时代求知识的欲望;二是抛弃学生时代理想人生的追求。让理想照耀现实，当现实很“骨感”的时候，永远不要停止相信自己，永远要做最好的自己，永远相信下一个故事是最好的。有理想才有胸怀，胸怀有多大，舞台就有多宽广;视野有多远，人生就有多开阔。聊大是一所使人心中有诗与远方的大学，是让每个人都拥有追求真理、坚定伟大信仰的勇气和力量的大学，希望你们始终怀有爱国兴邦之志，将个人的发展与国家的前途紧密联系在一起，把奉献社会作为不懈追求的人生目标，敢于立大志、善于做小事，眼前做减法，长远做加法，在广阔的人生舞台上演绎自己的精彩!

我校物理系1989届校友、乖宝宠物食品集团秦华董事长，毕业后职业虽多次变化，但学习习惯、创新精神和实干风格始终如一。下海从商后，他白手起家，凭借其不断创新的生产技术和过硬的产品质量，成为如今拥有2000多名员工、年销售10亿元、中国最大的宠物食品出口加工企业。秦华董事长一会儿要代表聊大校友作精彩发言，希望大家能从他的身上淘到真正的宝藏，那就是不断更新所学，与时俱进，知行合一，做思想的巨人和行动的强者，一步一个脚印地向着梦想前行。

今天是一个隆重的日子，现在也是一个伟大的时代。国运昌盛，复兴在望。历史赋予时代的机遇，时代预示未来的光明。同学们!你们即将向着远方出发，那肯定是一道亮丽的风景!亲爱的同学们，四年聊大人，一生聊大情。你们来到聊大，聊大就是你们的聊大，请铭记你们在聊大的美丽岁月，母校永远愿为你们点亮每盏智慧之灯!你们离开聊大，聊大就是你们前进的背景，也将为你的坚定步伐鼓与呼!你们的成功就是母校的成功!你们的所有荣耀都是母校的荣耀!你们将永远是母校的骄傲，欢迎大家常回母校看看!聊大校园是你们青春寄托的地方，清澈的徒骇河永远流淌着你们青春的歌!我在这里——你们的母校等着您!

古人曾说“与君一席话，胜读十年书”。在获取信息如此便捷的时代，恐怕再也不会有一席话，能胜过读十年书。但如果我们人生曾有最期待的一席话，那应该就是毕业典礼时的致辞了。对过去的总结，对未来的开启，我们希望有个我们敬佩的长者能给予我们人生的启迪。

在大学我们有人学文科、理科、工科，但是我们真正想从大学里学什么?是那些专业课程、技术，还是学会去理解人生的意义?很多时候我们的大学时光，无聊而迷茫。我总觉得应该有一些东西来证明我们的大学时光也有过那些令人思考和感悟的东西，我们大学也曾体验它的的本意所在：明德、亲民、止于至善。

毕业典礼致辞作为来自长辈对晚辈们大学时光的评判和未来的寄语，应该是正式而庄重的，充满睿智而深刻，不要陷入套路，也不要陷入琐碎，也不要心灵鸡汤。我们今后所有的时光都会用来看清生活的琐碎和乏味，我希望在新生活开始的时候，有人能给我们讲讲勇气、梦想、希望之类的话，也许会能让我们在怀疑社会、自己的时候想起那些话，从而坚定我们的选择。

20XX年7月1日是我弟弟的幼儿园毕业的那一天。那一天早上，他6点多就起床啦！我本来可以在家里好好休息一下，但是妈妈把我从被窝里拉了出来。我想：今天我们放假，为什么还让我去呢？伤脑筋。我向妈妈苦苦哀求在家里写作业，妈妈非不肯，非让我去幼儿园不可。吃过饭后，我们来到了弟弟的幼儿园。

我们把弟弟送入幼儿园我们回家了。到了晚上我们来到了弟弟的幼儿园。看，弟弟的衣服太脏了，还好妈妈拿了件衣服。给弟弟穿，要不然的话，弟弟就不能表演了。开始了，毕业典礼。我们急忙找了个位置，坐了下来，观看弟弟他们的表演。第一个节目就是弟弟他们班的表演的唱歌，他们唱的一丝不苟、欢天喜地、优美动听，让我们感叹不以。

紧接这三字经又背了起来：人之初 性

本善 性相近 习相远 苟不教 性乃迁 教之道 贵以专……这回他们背的滚瓜烂熟、神情严肃。后面又跟着的是帅气的姿势。这些姿势，让我们另眼相看。原来小孩子也有这么的帅气。后来还有好多好多的节目，我就不一一介绍。最后，他们所有大班同学们，都唱起了离别歌《元曲》。他们越唱越感动，很多人都流下了眼泪。

弟弟的毕业典礼太好看了，我一定要常常看毕业典礼。
