I Like Basketball

My favorite Sports is basketball. It looks so cool in TV that I was crazy about those basketball stars ever since I was little.

Basketball requires speed, height and skills. I run, jump, switch, and try to hit! All parts of my body are exercised in this sport. I feel that I’m like wind flying in the playground for my goal, which makes me feel so GREat!

Basketball needs quick reaction and decision. When chance comes, it may disappear in the next second. I should keep an eye watching as an eagle, decide and judge quickly as a leopard, and run for it as a wolf.

Further more, basketball is a sports more than just exercising, It needs team work. No one can play himself. A team should work together. So I learn to cooperate with others in this game. Our miracle story comes from an incident that occurred in Flanders, Belgium, at the dawn of World War I. On December 24th ,1914, German and English troops faced each other from the relative safety of their ditches across which no man’s land lying between them. Suddenly, the silence was broken, not by gunfire, but by the strains of Silent Night arising from the German position. It wasn’t long before the English troops responded with a Yuletide hymn of their own. Then an amazing sight surprised the eyes of the English soldiers. A German soldier holding a small tree arranged with lighted candles began to walk across the land toward the English lines. This miraculous scene occasioned the declaration of a truce followed by English and German troops greeting one another, exchanging small gifts and singing songs of Christmas. Word of this incredible phenomenon reached the High Command of both sides.

On Christmas Day, both armies moved from their positions to engage in the killing of war at other battlefields. However, on Christmas Eve 1914 on a field in Flanders, there was Peace on Earth.

Christmas is a truly amazing phenomenon. The day and season perpetuate a miraculous, historical event as an annual presence that challenges an often rough, cruel, and egotistical creature — the human being — to become open and amenable to their Creator’s vision. The great miracle of Christmas continues in the performance of humane acts, moral honesty, and in the spiritual awareness of millions struggling to lead a life of grace.

我喜欢的小狗李默莎 我最喜欢小狗了。我常想：要是允许我和一只小狗做朋友的话，我一定会细心地照顾它，不会冷落它。 记得有一次，爸爸从小区花园里抱回来一只流浪的小狗，它非常小，它的毛是黑色的，上面有一块一块白色的斑点。它用它那双大大的、水汪汪的眼睛惊慌地看着我们。我很想留下这只可怜的小狗，可是爸爸说，它是别人家的，走丢了，丢了狗的人家一定很着急，要把它送到物业办去。妈妈也说：“默默，这只小狗才差不多 二十厘米 高，还这么小，离开了它所熟悉的环境和养它的主人，你看它多害怕呀！你难道不想让它回家吗？”看到我的情绪低落的样子，爸爸笑着说：“等你再长大一点，我们就买一只小狗来养吧！”听了爸爸的话，我才高兴地笑了。

小狗狗，你还好吗？这件事已经过去了，那只小狗的样子一直在我的脑海里挥之不去。记住了吗？^_^

我姨妈家有一只小花狗，它的名字叫“嘟嘟”，我非常喜欢它。

“嘟嘟”有一身雪白的羽毛，还有棕色的小圆点，远看漂亮极了。它的鼻子和耳朵都十分灵敏，一听到脚步声，动作十分敏捷，已经扑到门口。如果是陌生人，就汪汪大叫；但是主人回来了，就变得很温驯，摇头摆尾，围着主人，这里闻闻，那里嗅嗅。像镶着两颗宝石一样的眼睛，望着主人，像在问候：“主人回来啦！”

一天，我来到姨妈家，小花狗就汪汪大叫，直到我进入屋里，它才对我装着可爱的样子。我想：让我试试它。我拿了一块饼干走过去，故意让小花狗看见我手里的饼干。果然，小花狗静悄悄地跟着我，我停下来，它也停下来；我快步走，它也快步走，可爱极了。逗了它一会儿，我转过身来，蹲着，拿饼干对着小花狗，它悄悄靠过来，用鼻子闻了闻，然后张嘴咬饼干，美滋滋地吃起来。

当我回家要走的时候，它忽然前脚弯在胸前，一双后脚用力向上蹬，像人一样站立起来！我伸出手，小花狗居然迎上来，跟我双手手拉手，像跳舞一样，我知道它不舍得我走呢！

我观察了小花狗几天，才发现它是一只又勇敢、又有点贪吃的小狗。它还是姨妈家的小看家，客人来到，生人就非常警惕，汪汪大叫；熟人来了就表现得很温驯，摇头摆尾地讨怜。客人要走了，小花狗就会送到门口，汪汪地叫几声，像是说：“再见，欢迎再来！”

在回家的路上，我想：小花狗真有礼貌。要是我家也有一只小花狗就好了，我喜欢小花狗。

有一天，我发现狗窝里又多了一些小狗，哦!原来是这只母狗生的，一共四只。这些小狗又可爱又调皮，每天在院子里跑来跑去，一会跑屋里，一会跑楼上，一会躲那，一会跑这，好像跟一群小朋友躲迷藏，时不时，老狗还向小狗汪汪得喊两声，好像在说：“孩子们，别跑太远了，注意安全。”玩了一天的小狗们都累了，吃完饭，伸个懒腰，打个哈欠，投入到狗妈妈的怀抱里，小狗们很快就进入了甜甜的梦香，嘴里还时不时的发出咕咕的声音，好像在说梦话。

第二天早上，小鸟在枝头唱歌，叫醒了正在熟睡的小狗，它们打个哈欠，伸个懒腰，揉揉睡意惺忪的眼睛，又开始了一天的快乐生活。

瞧!多么快乐的小狗，真是幸福美好的一家。
