我的家乡在扬州。

听妈妈说，在我出生之前，扬州老区的一些房子，都是一些又矮又破旧的老房子;房子之间铺陈着许多纵横交错的小巷子，小巷子窄的一次只可以通过一辆车。以前的马路坑坑洼洼，很不平整，车子一过，到处尘土飞扬。而那个时候人们喝的水都是从水井里打来的，据说井水清冽甘甜，至今老人们还经常念叨。

自打我出生之后，扬州飞速发展。

现在扬州的马路都是水泥路，很宽阔、很漂亮。
