My vacation

This years summer vacation was most enjoyable. I spent fifteen days helping my grandparents doing farm work in the countryside， where I saw mountains fields covered with green plants. Sometimes I went swimming in the river to the west of the village， the water in which was quite clear.

我先去的是拥有悠久历史的中国足球博物馆。足球博物馆一共有两层，一层有两个展厅。我跟着导游阿姨先来到了第一展厅参观。这里面令我印象最深的是，放在展柜里的足球，随着时代的不断变化，足球也在变化。很久很久以前的足球叫蹴鞠，是由四片组成的，是椭圆形的，后来是用六片组成的，有一点像圆形了，再往后是用八片组成的，就更像圆形了，最后是用十二片组成的，和我们现在的足球已经很相似了。古代的时候，球门和现在的球门不一样，古代的球门是设在高处的，古人都要把球往上踢，我们现在的球门是设在地上的，有守门员把门。足球博物馆还有很多引人注目的东西，有各种各样的足球；有各个国家赢得的奖杯和证书；有许多著名的足球冠军的照片。。。。。。足球的发源地是我们中国，可是，我们国家踢的足球并不是很好，我们国家的足球队要加油啊！

我随后又去了太公湖，传说那是姜太公钩鱼的地方，这个地方还有一段故事呢！传说，太公姜子牙受师傅之命，下界帮助文王。但是姜子牙觉得自己半百之龄，又和文王没有交情，很难获得文王赏识。于是在文王回都途中，在一河边，用没有鱼饵的直钩钓鱼。大家知道，鱼钩是弯的，但姜子牙却用直钩，不用鱼饵，钓到了很多鱼。文王见到了，觉得这是奇人，于是主动跟他交谈，发现这真是个大有用之才。他拜老人做了国师，称他为“太公望”，自此，姜太公帮助周文王治理国家。

爸爸开着车往前走，突然，爸爸惊奇地说：“你们看，远处那些白色的东西是什么？是不是鸟啊？”妈妈看了看远处说：“那是大白鹅吧！但是我却觉得那应该是白色的垃圾袋子。我们都很好奇，想看看到底是什么。于是，爸爸把车停到马路边，我们小心翼翼地走下小土坡，看到下面一片干涸的芦苇，好象是被水冲过的，现在的水都变少了。我想起了上课时，老师跟我们说过，现在人们不保护环境，水都越来越稀少，有的国家都缺水。这里的湖面干涸也是这种原因吧。”我们继续往前走，走到离水面不远的地方，爸爸拿起地上的一块石头，往远处的水面一投，只见好几只白色的水鸟飞起来了，紧接着一群黑色的鸟也跟着飞起来了，原来那些白色的东西真的是鸟，爸爸猜对了，我们又开心地玩起了打水漂的游戏，我玩得很快乐。

最后，我去了古车博物馆。那是有很多古时候打仗的工具，还有一些皇帝、公主坐的马车，包括马拉的车、骆驼拉的车、大象拉的车，还有牛拉的车。我见过的只有马拉的车，真没想到有这么多动物可以拉车。为什么每个朝代用的拉车的动物都不一样呢？我觉得应该是这些动物象征着他们的朝代，很稀少，所以用这种动物来为皇帝拉车；也有可能是，这种动物对于一个朝代来说，是最为繁多的动物，所以用这种动物来作为拉皇帝的车。那里还有许多被挖出来的古车和马，听妈妈说：“这些文物是在修建高速公路时挖出来的，它们出土于1990年。”我听后非常吃惊，它们保存的这么完美，真有点不可思议！

虽然这次旅游只用了半天的时间，但是我增长了许多知识，我也玩得很开心，希望后两天还有更多的好地方等着我去游玩噢！

I had a great time throughout my May Day Holiday.

On Monday, I went BBQ with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. Our parents were invited to the party. Everybody was excited about the holiday. I ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On Tuesday, I went visiting my uncles family with my parents. We went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in Shanghai. Later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. We stayed for the night.

On Wednesday, I went shopping with my cousins. We bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. In the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. They also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so I tried to do some turning and parking. It was not easy first. But I learnt quick.

On Thursday, we returned home with many gifts from our trip. I tried to get some rest. At night, I chatted with my classmates on the phone, and I watched CCTV before going to bed.

From Friday on, I started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. Some of my assignments were quite boring. After I finished the homework, I emailed them to my teachers. That was the end of it. I started to prepare things for school on this coming Monday.
