The 15-Day Celebration of Chinese New Year

The first day of the Lunar New Year is the welcoming of the gods of the heavens and earth.Many people abstain from meat on the first day of the new year because it is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives for them.

Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

It’s hard to make friends if you stay alone all the time. It’s easier to make friends when you have similar interests.

Don’r be afraid to show people what you are really good at. Talk about the things you like and do best.

Look at people in the eyes when you talk to them.

Be a good listner. Let people talk about themselves before talking about yourself.

Be friendly to a lot of people. Try to help your friends when they are in trouble because a friend in need is a friend indeed. That way you’ll have a bigger group to choose from and have more chances to make friends.

Everyone has their own dreams, I am no exception. My dream is to be a glorious peoples teacher, use white chalk to impart knowledge, to take care of students with broad mind.

If I were a teacher, I would let the poor in the remote mountainous areas was born in class in our school. I will teach them many knowledge, let them grow up have literary grace.

If I were a teacher, I wont shield the result good students, despise those bad students. A result good student make a mistake, should be criticized, the education they could not proud. A low-achieving students have problems, I will wait patiently to him, let him accept slowly, slowly.

If I were a teacher, in the class, I will make the class more laughter. Next class, I will be on time class is over, let the students to make full use of the valuable time to play, go to bask in the sun, spirit one hundred times to meet the next class.

If I were a teacher, I would with their own efforts to do a best teacher.

假如我是一名老师，上课时，我一定会让课堂上多一点笑声。下课时，我一定会按时下课，让学生充分利用这宝贵的时间，去玩玩，去晒晒太阳，精神百倍去迎接下一堂课。

The Autumn Festival

Chinese celebrate the harvest on the Mid-Autumn Festival since ancient times. Its the same as the custom of Thanksgiving Day in North America. The custom of the Mid-Autumn Festival was popular in everywhere in China in the early Tang dynasty. The Mid-Autumn is on August 15 according to lunar calendar, its the festival on which people will worship the moon.

On this night, the moon will be bright in the sky and people will get together to appreciate the moon in the family. The Mid-Autumn Festival was listed as one of Chinas cultural heritage in 2006 and was designed to be a public holiday in 2014. The moon cake is regarded as an indispensable food on Mid-Autumn Festival. People give them to their relatives and friends as gifts or enjoy them in the family party. The traditional moon cake is printed with cheracters "longevity", "blessing", "harmony" and so on. What a funny festival!

I have a sister Marry. She is 16 years old now.She is a beauty whose height is 163 cm.My sister has a round face and short BOB hair. She have a pair of big eyes and they look very beautiful.She has a small mouth with two thick and red lips. All of us see her will like her.

Now, she has many hobbies.For example,she like swimming and jogging.She is a senoir high shcool student .So she like study.She often says, knowlege makes her stronger.

My sister dreams to be a designer. I believe it will come ture.
