包公，真名叫包拯，字希仁。是北宋庐州合肥（现在的安徽省合肥市）人。他和范仲淹一样，一生做过许多官，小到县令大到枢密副使。不管是做什么官，他都认真处理政事，执法如山,铁面无私。所以在戏剧里，专门给他画了一个大黑脸。
