Mid-autumn Day is more or less like Spring Festival. It falls on the 15th

day of the 8th lunar month. Its an important day for our Chinese, because its

a family reunion day.

On that day, there will be a big family dinner. Everyone who works outside

will go back home for the union. And they also eat moon cakes, which are the

special food for this festival. There are various kinds of moon cakes. They are

so delicious that everyone enjoys them very much.

In the evening, the moon is so bright and round, so people always prepare

some fruits and moon cakes and put them under the moon so as to pray for the

8月21日我们怀着激动的心情来到少年军校，进行为期三天的军训。第一天军训我就发现跟五年级时完全不一样，教官严厉了许多，任务也加重了！而且现在正值盛夏，天气十分炎热！

第二天是最累的，上午刚起床就集合站军姿。要求一动不动的站在那，动一下就加时间！太阳火辣辣的烤着，汗水像掉了线的珍珠一样往下掉，衣服帽子都被汗水浸湿了！回寝室整理了一下内务，就去吃早饭了！接下来学习中学的`广播操，老师一遍又一遍地教我们，生怕我们学不会！我们在那站了一个多小时，腿又酸又麻！吃过午饭我们可以在空调里休息两个小时，这对累了一上午的我们来说真是太棒了，寝室里的同学们都欢呼起来！下午两点左右，由蒙山中学的老师来上入学教育，使我对学校有了更深的了解！大约三点时我们进行队列训练，一共有七个内容，要求每个内容都要整齐如一，这对我们这么多人来讲是一项艰巨的任务，经过一个小时的训练我们有了很大的进步！好不容易可以放松一会儿，又被抓去学中学的广播操，直到吃饭前才放我们走！这一天训练下来，我里面的短袖和外面的军装都湿透了，不过洗过澡就舒服多了！晚上的联欢晚会真是丰富多彩，有唱歌、跳舞的，有古筝、吉他独奏的，真是精彩绝伦！

第三天下午的大会操充分地展现了同学们这三天来艰苦训练的成果，这三天让我们体会到了当军人的辛苦！这三天过得既充实又劳累！

This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

3月12日，是我们布心小学四、五年去春游的日子，说是去春游还不如说是去军训呢！

我们坐上车很快就到了目的地——龙岗园山，下车后军官就马上让我们穿上军装，带上军帽，军装真好看；随后军官告诉我们：从现在开始你们不再是学生了，而是一个军人；于是我们为期3天的军训正式开始了。

第一天，我们学站军姿，一站就是一两个小时后，简直是浑身酸痛，有好几次都感觉自己坚持不住了，但是最后还是坚持了下来；其他同学也是一样站不住了，但是他们也和我一样坚持了下来；到了中午我们开始了野炊，吃了第一顿由自己做的饭菜，第一个感觉是终于有饭吃了，随后马上就觉得这饭没有在家里的好吃，反正这顿饭是什么味道都有，如青菜炒得太咸了等等；第一次感叹在家吃饭真好！到了下午时，我们开展了闪电报数游戏，闪电报数游戏是指以一个班为单位每人按顺序报数，比一比看哪一个班最先报完；这个游戏是为了锻炼我们的团队协调配合能力，虽然我们班成绩一般，但是我们大家玩得很开心，到现在1。2。3。4还在我耳边回响。这一天我们过的不太适应，特别是晚上都睡不着觉；因为是第一次站军姿，学到了站军姿给了我们炎黄子孙的不屈脊梁的身体，野炊让我们学会自立自理生活能力，闪电报数训练了我们的敏捷、协调和配合能力。

第二天，早上6：30分我们就起床了，吃早饭的时候没有想到都不能说话，真是严格；饭后我们又马上参加停止间军队训练，停止间军队训练是进行停止间的转右或转左、敬礼、蹲下等等，这个训练让我们转得头都快晕了，光是这个就训练了一个上午，但是我们也坚持了下来，真是不容易啊！到了下午我们又玩了一个游戏——吸管建塔，是10个人一组，大家分工合作，用30根或60根吸管建一个塔一样的建筑，我们这组发挥了充分的想象力。建了一个幸福之塔，这个是我们组自己给塔起的名字，完成后大家对塔的感觉非常好，但是我们还是输了，为什么呢？因为我们的幸福之塔高度不够；现在想一下如果我们当时能加上一根避雷针的话肯定就能拿第一，真是有点不甘心，如果有下次的话我相信我们一定能得第一名的。这一天让我体会非常深刻：停止间军队训练是要磨练我们的意志，吸管建塔是要让我们发挥大家的想象力、创造力和大家的协调配合。这一天过得有苦有乐，特别充实。

很快军训的3天过去了，在这短短的3天时间里，虽然很苦很累，但是也是一种难得的人生体验，仍我认识了自我，并战胜自我，让我学到了军人不但要培养人有吃苦耐劳的精神，而且还能磨练人的坚强意志，学会独立面对生活，初次学会做领袖。军训虽然让我们付出了辛酸痛苦，但是收获的确实欢声和笑语。真希望在不久的将来再军训一次。

What can I do for our environment?

在军训的日子里(During the Days of Military Training)

The day we were looking forward to came at last--a weeks military training began.

During the training, each of us did his (her) part in earnest. We drilled more than six hours a day, though it was very hot at the time.

In the blazing① sun, we always tried to measure up to the high standards which were demanded . Sweat streamed down and we wouldnt wipe it off. Olny three days later our faces were tanned.② We felt happy and proud of it .

Our platoon③ officer was a young PLA man, about twenty years old. He was very strict with us during the training and very kind to us afterwards. By talking with him, we came to know not only more information about army life, but also about military affairs.

The military training gave us good discipline. It brought us great happiness, too. Well never forget it.

The first day for me to come to the high school, my head-teacher told us the news that we needed to take the military train. We were all shocked, it was so hot outside, how terrible it was. Then the next day, we saw our training instructor. He was young and handsome, though his skin was so yellow. Suddenly, all the girls became energetic, we listened to the instructor’s words carefully. In fact, I was staring at him. We trained for a week, we found the train was not that hard, we had fun and joy. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals

kinds of stuffing. What’s more, hanging herbs on the front door, drinking

realgar wine and pasting up picture of Zhongkui—a mythic guardian figure in

ancient china—are also popular during the festival, which are mean to protect

people from evil and disease.

These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years,

but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese

culture.

In the young generation, their lifestyle is different from the old

peoples. They like to stay up and join many night activities, then they wake up

very late. The new expression of brunch fits them so much, which means the

people to have a meal combining with breakfast and lunch. But their health is

under threat. Some young peoples stomach hurts and cant digest food well. In

order to keep healthy, we need to do some exercise and eat food regularly.

Whats more, the balanced diet is very important, as the saying that an apple a

day, keeps the doctor away, so we need to eat properly. The healthy lifestyle

在本次的军训过程中，也有不少的欢声笑语。比如说，各个班级之间的拉歌比赛，异常激烈，每一个人都使出自我的浑身解数，拼命的嘶喊着，恨不得自我曾练过那传说中的“狮子吼”，恨不得自我就是那世界顶尖的男(女)高音家，完全忘却了天气的炎热，军训的艰苦，置身于欢乐的海洋中。正所谓“练得细心，玩得开心”，凡是都应一心一意，玩耍如此，学习更是如此。虽然在军训的过程中，我也曾闹出不少笑话，但教官总是耐心的教导，而不是那些所谓的“体罚”。这一点，我很庆幸。

毕竟军训还是有它那儿令人担忧的地方，由于烈日的曝晒，以在我们每一个人的身上留下了标志性特征——就是晒黑了。虽然这一点是早有预料的，但心中似乎仍然无法理解这个现实。但是转念又想，“吃的苦中苦，方为人上人”，“鱼，我所欲也;熊掌，亦我所欲也。二者不可得兼，舍鱼而取熊掌者也”。这样一来，觉得这次军训还是挺值得的。晒黑了，也就说明我的确有下功夫，并没有偷懒或是滥竽充数。

军训快要结束了，虽然这几天是难熬了一点，但对于我来说，仍有不少的收获，它让我重新认清了自我，让我认识到了自我的坚强与不屈。因此，我也很感谢这一次的军训，感谢它对我的磨练，感谢这一周的一分一秒……
