There is nothing complicated about eating a proper diet. For good health,

eat a variety of foods. Do not eat the same foods day after day! Foods should be

selected everyday from each of basic four. They are the four groups of food

essential to proper nutrition: the milk group, meat group, vegetable-fruit

group, and bread- cereal group, Your body will then be supplied with all the

nutrients it requires; they are water, minerals, carbohydrate, fats and oils,

proteins, and vitamins. A persons diet is determined by his attitudes, likes

and dislikes. If you eat foods from each of the basic four groups each day, you

will have a balanced diet.

At present, many teenagers smoke. I dont think its a good phenomenon. It

must be stopped, for smoking is harmful in many ways.

First, smoking is bad for our health. As we start smoking, its so

difficult to give up, because the tobacco contains a drug called nicotine, which

can get us into the habit of smoking. When we go without nicotine, our bodies

will feel sick.

Second, smoking is so dangerous. When we smoke in bed, we may kill

ourselves as well as burn down our houses, for burning cigarette ends may cause

a big fire. And if we threw the cigarette ends anywhere, it would also cause a

fire disaster.

Furthermore, once we smoke in public, we may make other people feel

uncomfortable as well.

Accordingly, for the sake of your and others’ health, please dont

smoke.

Recently, I have seen an impressive film—“Meet the Parents”, which is about

a woman Palm brought her boyfriend Greg to her parents’ home to spend holiday.

In the film, Greg was so dishonest to Palm’s parents that Palm’s father is

suspicious of his behavior and quality. As a result, Greg is obnoxious to all

and has to leave. As far as I am concerned, the consequence is heavily caused by

his dishonesty. If Greg could be real him all the time, he would get much

respect and appreciation and would not get much frustration. From the film, I

have learned that being honest was extremely important and necessary. In other

words, being honest is a basic principle for us to deal with others.

For one thing, we will not get others’ trust unless we are honest. If we

deceive others, we would get the same in return, and even no one would make

friends with us or even communicate with us. For another, we will get others’

respect and appreciation if telling the truth. Telling the truth and being

ourselves, we will get a healthy and peaceful surrounding to grow up better.

However, something strange happens in our society. There is a strange

phenomenon that honest people suffer but the dishonest benefit a lot. It made

some people have a suspicion that being honest is not so important.

But I still believe that these are just a few cases, since honesty is

deeply rooted in our minds and we still consider it as a basic principle in

social contacts.

这次军训，是一次艰辛的旅程。是一次很好磨练意志和锻炼身体的机会。对我们这些整天在父母庇护下长大的孩子更是一次难得的机会。

军训这几天，正是台风即将来临的时候，太阳非常猛烈，但是，我们要顶着烈日辛苦训练。抬头、挺胸、直背……教官为了让我们把动作做标准，不厌其烦地要我们做十遍二十遍……尽管在太阳底下站得脚底发麻，渴得喉冒青烟，我们也不能喊累，只有坚强地挺住。军训很苦，有时心里也在打退堂鼓，想着家里的舒适，心中便激起了思乡的涟漪，然后在不知不觉中落泪，那时，真希望自己已经坐上了回家的车。但是，我们想想那些保家卫国的士兵们吧，他们置生死于度外，在比我们更可怕的训练前毫不低头，他们连死都不死，难道我们就这一点小小的困难，也不能客服吗？难道我们被这微不足道的困难吓到了吗？不，我们一定要凭着自己的意志力撑下去！凭借着这种力量，军训，我们闯过来了！

通过这次军训，我们端正了思想，树立不怕苦，不怕累的人生观，磨练了我们的意志力与忍耐力，使我们稚嫩的思想变得成熟，弱不禁风的身体锻炼得强硬，是我们的组织纪律性得到提高，团队精神得到进一步的加强。

虽然军训很苦也很累，但是军训促使我们在方方面面得到了提高，所以，不论如何苦，如何累，我还是要说一句：谢谢了军训。

Honesty is long-lasting virtue of people all over the world. Likewise, it

is also one of the deeply-held values of the Chinese people. Some people believe

that in the market economy, honesty tends to be obsolete. In my opinion, honesty

will never be out of date no matter what the situation might be.

Firstly, honesty has been treasured and honest people have been respected

through history in all parts of the world. People everywhere would regarded

honesty as a virtue and hate a dishonesty person. Secondly, honesty is the basis

of interactions among people. People should treat each other sincerely and open

their hearts to each other. Only in this way can the relationship among the

people be natural. Thirdly, in the market economy, some people try to get more

money at the cost of honesty. To them, a best businessman is one who can cheat

most tactfully. Even in this kind of society, honesty is deeply valued by most

people.

We can see that not only in history, but also at the present day, honesty

was and is valued by the majority of the people and the virtue will not perish

so easily.

一眨眼为期七天的军训结束了，留给我们的是辛，酸，苦

，辣和我们永恒的记忆。结束并不意味着句号，而是漫长的高中生活中的一个逗号。需要我们努力的日子还很长，路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下求索。

灼热的大地，火辣辣的阳光，汗流浃背的学生，构成了一道特别的“吃苦风景线”，若大的体育场在阳光下一点一点的熔化，缩小，直到把我们吞噬。飞舞的蝇虫流淌的汗水，酸痛的四肢，我们并不在乎，在乎的是我们学到了什么，学会了什么。吃苦不是时尚，需要用汗水和毅力去交换，吃苦给我们留下无尽的财富，强壮的体魄，雷厉风行的作风，和敢于战胜困难的勇气!

我感觉军训已把我们这一群十六七岁的人锻炼成了真正的高中生，让我们知道了什么是汗水，什么是真正的快乐，以及让我们学会怎样独立，怎样面对生活，面对困难，怎样去承担那份光荣而艰巨的责任。

记得才训练了三天的时候，平日拖拖拉拉的我早已疲惫不堪。刚学立正时，我就疑惑，为什么体育课中要常做的动作，早已会的动作，教官要如此仔细地讲解，为什么一个左转一个右转要教官如此煞费苦心地让我们练习，实践出真知，五天的军训就让我明白，小小一个立正所包涵的丰富，几个转身所容纳的博大。站军姿，给了你炎黄子孙不屈脊梁的身体，也给了你龙之传人无穷的毅力。练转身，体现了人类活跃敏捷的思维，更体现了集体主义的伟大。不积滴水，无以成江海。

对手是最大的朋友，在比赛中我们是对手，在赛后我们是朋友，互相激励着前进，让军训变得更精彩，更充实更有意义.

其实军训也并非是常人心目中的魔鬼训练、灰色的咏叹调。紧张忙碌的军训之余，我们一同感受军歌的嘹亮，尤其是其恢弘豪迈的气势，拉歌时大家围坐一团的亲热劲儿以及互相争论的不服输劲儿。而这些都是我们平日中未曾感受到的。大家齐声喊出了当兵人的心声，并与之不可遏制地引起了强烈的共鸣。所有这些都是我们人生道路中难得一次的奇遇，定会铭刻于心。

白驹过隙般的，时光像一条潺潺流淌的小河。仿佛一眨眼的工夫，军训生活的句号就来到了眼皮底下。回首丰富多姿的军训生活，我更多的还是感慨——“忆往昔，数风流人物，还在今朝。”

今天，是军训的第一天，我穿着军训有模有样地来到学校，怀着激动、紧张而又忐忑的心情在教室等待教官的到来。

只见缓缓走进来一个人影，"是教官吗?"我紧张的目光投向门口，哦，原来是她啊!头发黑长黑长的，眼睛水汪汪的，看起来瘦瘦的，牙齿有点不齐，鼻梁高挺得很，她就是我们的班主任——罗老师。

罗老师进来宣布完一些事情后，就让教官进来了，教官的脸黑黑的，眼睛很小，是单眼皮，眼神像是要把人吃了一样，表情严肃得吓人，教官让我们出去排队，全部到操场集合。

夏日炎炎，头顶上的"火炉"让人热的受不了，终于在校长等多个领导的发言结束后，军训开始了，我一开始幻想的军训是在顶着大太阳的操场上跑步，做俯卧撑，做仰卧起坐……结果教官只让我们练军姿，做一些常规动作而已，当时我简直失望透顶了。但我逐渐的发现，即使是这些常规动作都做不好，那我还谈什么跑步呢?所以我也没什么好抱怨的，同时我也发现教官是一个很贴心又很负责任的人，我们出了汗，他会让我们擦，我们想喝水上厕所，他也会让我们去，而且我们做错的动作他会很用心的帮我们改过来。

今天的天气很阴，还刮着风，但并不冷，有一股凉爽的感觉，很舒服，刚吃完午饭，肚子还有点涨呢，吃的有点多，妈妈今天中午回家了，她好像没太吃饱，现在正在午睡呢，等会他醒了我要给他吃昨天我买的果子。

妈妈每天上班很辛苦，我明白，但最近不知道怎么的，我总是莫名的烦躁，可能是处于叛逆期吧，我也不太清楚，再过两天就要去军训了，我的心情不知怎么的有点沉重，我可能有点害怕，我怕我融入不了那里的气氛，我怕我适应不了那里的生活，但我相信，我一定会战胜这些恐惧的，我一定会用最完美的自我在高中展现。

Perhaps affected by this saying for a long time, we believe it right. However,

as time flies, lots of things have changed. Therefore, I am eager to discuss

what relation is the best between teachers and students.A teacher can treat a

student in two ways .One is strict, and the other is friendly. Most teachers

prefer the first way.To start with, we certainly have to admit that strictness

is very effective, especially to the naughty pupils.

As pupils we aren’t able to control ourselves well or fix our attention on

one thing for a long time. We do most things because they are interesting or we

feel like doing. We are always looking out of the window in class. Sometimes, we

get to play games and forget our homework. On this occasion, strictness is a

must. It not only forces us to do the right thing, but also helps us develop a

good learning habit, which is of great importance during our whole life .In

other words, it is the first step to success.Still, everything has two sides.

Its weak points are very obvious. You see, there’re top students in a class,

where average students make up the majority. Then teachers’ orders or

suggestions are for the majority, not for top students. However, top students

always have their own study plans and prefer special homework, so orders usually

won’t take great effect on them.

Maybe you have thought out that teachers can give orders only to the

majority and set some freedom to top students. However, it’s impossible .For a

whole class, teachers couldn’t give order to part of the class, for the majority

would question why they needn’t do such work, but we need? It would be probable

that they think teachers treat them not equally, and will not obey teachers’

orders any more. This is a difficulty for teachers.It also has another

disadvantage——the communication problem .Since teachers are strict, we never

tell teachers our personal affairs or secrets. Mostly we just tell them to our

friends, but as students too, they couldn’t help to solve our problem, such as

puppy love, communication problems or study problems .Not being solved

completely, they always disturb us, influencing our daily life and study. I’m

sure that you think that making friends with teachers can solve the problem, and

you are eager to do so as well. But if we do so, new problems will come out .You

see, an adult couldnt control himself well at times, let alone us students.

However if teachers are our friends, I doubt whether their orders will take

effect any more .You see, have we ever treated our friends’ orders as orders? We

think they’re only jokes. This is another difficulty for teachers.Additionally,

our parents have the same problem. Yes, we need to be friends, but not complete

friends. We need to keep a certain distance, making us communicate well and

willing to take your orders. I remember a story.One day, a lady had her rest

room decorated. And a skilled worker was bricking up the wall. Seeing large

cracks between the bricks, she questioned why. The worker told her after this

summer, the bricks would become bigger, and those cracks would disappear.That is

not only decoration, but also communication. The principle is the same.

在四月的某一天，我们全体四年级的同学一起去我们期盼已久的军训。我们高高兴兴的去，开开心心的回。在军训的几天中，我们学会了许多东西如：四面转法、蹲下、起立、站军姿

我们在教官的指导下还学会了如何整理床铺。

哦，对了！我还忘记介绍我们的教官，我们的教官叫谢力军，我们都叫他谢教官。谢教官高大，身高有1.8几。谢教官自称是基地最会变脸的教官。谢教官还有几句口头禅：1、你们等着啊，你们完蛋了。2、教官很生气，后果很严重！

在基地的第二天晚上，我们看了电影《冲出亚马逊》。主要讲了1999年的两位中国士兵在亚马逊的猎人学校的故事。第三天，我们因为表现不好进行了魔鬼式训练，我们双手拿着装满水的水杯，双手台到肩膀的明年就回家位置，我们才台了几分钟就坚持不住了，可是我们还要台25分钟呢！宽宏大量的谢教官就放我们一马。晚上，累了一天的我们马上洗漱之后就睡了，晚上我们宿舍有些女生在自己的床上偷偷地哭。第四天大早，我们一想到明天就要回家了，我们高兴疯了，我们认真训练，晚上我们高高兴兴的看了一场联欢会，心里也希望第五天的到来。第五天中午一点多钟我们坐上大巴车就回到了我们亲爱的学校进行表演和表彰。

虽然，军训辛苦但是我们很开心，以前我们从父母的掌上明珠，变成了一个个小军人。这段快乐而有意义的时光我永远都不会忘记！

回想起第一天，刚来到新学校，全是陌生的面孔，想想这六天要与这么多陌生的面孔一起度过，心中的不安便由可而知了！但现在，经过了军训的我们已经是个美好，团结，向上的大家庭了！在训练场上，我们是战友，无论是谁，有痛我们就一起承担着。特别是当教官罚我们站军姿，练蹲姿的时候。这一站一蹲别看只有十几分钟，其中的痛苦只有我们自己知道。好不容易熬完了如同一个世纪那么长的十几分钟，可是我们却因腿痛得站不起来了，动不了了。但是，有的同学却还能忍着疼痛帮助其他站不起来的同学站起来。那一刻，我感动。与其说是疼痛让我感动了，不如说是同学之间这份深深的情谊让我们感动了。在宿舍，我们是亲人，有快乐会一起享受着。同学之间互相帮助，洗澡时，你提水我占位，衣服一起洗，一起晒，早上一起起床，一起叠被。其中的感情怎是一两句话就说得清的呢？和大家一起生活的这六天，我真的感受到了友谊的存在！

而且在我看来军训的生活也是不寻常的。没军训前，我想军训无非就是立正，稍息一类的。可是，到真正的军训时，我就不禁笑自己的幼稚了。军训不仅仅是给我们一种军事化的训练，更教会了我们要懂得做人，要对任何事都认真，做任

在告别军营的那天，看着与我们朝夕相处了六天的教官挥手离我们而去的时候，心中不由的泛起了丝丝涟漪，起初迫切离开的心情已经荡然无存，单调又丰富的军训生活就像一场洗礼，让我又一次获得了成长的机会。

It maybe our common desires to experience a meaning life, but when it comes

to the topic “How to live a meaningful life”, the opinions are divided. In

someone’s eyes, they agree that a meaningful life is just a comfortable life

which means they can enjoy themselves as possible as they can.

However, personally in my view, if we spend our whole life in pursuing

things only for ourselves, we will surely let ourselves down when we look back.

There’s an old saying that goes “The greatest use of life is to spend it for

something that will outlast it”. I can’t agree more. If there is a way to avoid

a disappointed life, it should be to try our best to find meaningful things

which can also make contributions to the whole society. Even a single man can

make a big difference to the world. Not to mention that everyone get together to

bring changes to the society.

It’s high time that we took measures to experience a meaning life. What’s

Far and away the most important holiday in China is Spring Festival, also

known as the Chinese New Year.

To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the

West.

The dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar

rather than the Gregorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from

late January to early February.

To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the

lunar New Year‘s Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar

calendar. But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern

Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the

country.

Spring Festival is the most importantand popular festival in China.Before

Spring Festival ,the people usually clean and decorate their houses.And they go

to the Flower Fairs to buy some flowers.

During Spring Festival ,the adults usually give lucky money to

children.People often get together and have a big meal.Some people eat dumpling

for dinner.

I love Spring Festival .

太激动了，终于结束那漫长的军训之旅了!我太兴奋了，真是千言万语也不能描述啊。就就让我来讲述那非一般的生活吧。

我们在睡眼朦胧中开始军训起程。啊呀呀，都怪我在家太松，要迟到了，抓紧抓紧。好不容易及时赶到训练场，又忍不住打个哈欠，困哪~

6：00了开始早训。之后，我们又进行了那漫长的站军姿之旅，1分钟、5分钟、10分钟……时间老人，您咋走得那么慢呢，我的脚都麻了，要倒了。但是看到同学们都好坚持，我就使劲坚持。好锻炼毅力啊。

叮当，该吃饭啦。我们一列一列的进入餐厅。我的天，太震撼了。各个窗口前都排起”长龙“。尽管我饿的前胸贴后背，但还是乖乖的排队。经过漫长的等待，终于我到了窗口前，我拿出那神圣的饭票，得到了喷香的饭菜。哦，太幸福了。

下午我们还是进行着那叫苦不堪的训练。停止间法把我的分不清东西南北，蹲姿是我的脚几乎没知觉了，摆臂定性差点让我不知道我的胳膊还是我的不……太累了。当然，中途退出的不少，但大多数仍屹立于训练之中(呵呵，包括我。鼓掌)。

晚上，我们的晚自习可丰富了。看了教育讲解、教官还叫我们唱军歌、给我们讲部队里的故事、还进行自我介绍……下课了，赶紧回宿舍。累死了，真是倒床就睡啊。谁料在军训第六天的夜晚，当我们正呼呼大睡是，被一声嘹亮的哨声个惊醒。我的天，干什么知道，到操场上才知道，要进行拉练。什么啊，大半夜不让睡觉，出去拉练。(不过蛮兴奋的，能出校门啊~)于是乎，我们浩浩荡荡的出了校门，开始了4千米的徒步拉练。超累的说，好多好多同学出列了。好不容易我们回来了。又累又困又渴啊~

最后一天了，我们进行阅兵典礼和结训典礼。太激动了，我们这几天的汗水要今天体现了。我们进行了跑操、对正、身、……虽然很累，并且还下着雨，但没有一个人偷懒，每一个人乱动。

军训要结束了，教官要回去了，我们心中还有些不舍。想起他教我们唱军歌，他给我们讲笑话、他给我们的惩罚，他给我们的鼓励……当我们的老师多好，可是那是幻想。

值得高兴的是，我们变得能吃苦了、我们变得更坚强了、我们能够遇见困难不退缩、同学之间相处得更好了……

一份努力一分收获，我们努力了，我们付出了。因此我们得到了锻炼，所以我们成长了。

三天的军训已经结束，回想这三天的生活，真的是难以忘怀，这三天紧张而又充实，有苦也有甜，在此有一点点感想与大家分享一下：

曾记得小时候，我很想成为一名军人，每次看到穿着绿色军装的人简直是羡慕、嫉妒、恨，呵呵，到现在还很后悔没有能去参军，所有现在一直很喜欢看一些现代军旅方面的电视剧，特别喜欢(士兵突击)、(雪豹)、(冲出亚马逊)等等，很崇拜里面的主角，他们有一种不屈不挠的精神，雷厉风行做事风格。

在我们第一天刚到学校，每个人发一套军训服装的时候，心里特别的高兴，心想虽然说在18岁的时候没有能去参军，当一名真正的军人，这次也算是圆梦，了我一个小小的梦想，抱着军训服舍不得放下 ，呵呵。

到了军营才知道，现实和梦想有很大的差距，严格的军律压得我难受，每天重复同样的事情，吃饭、训练、紧急集合、内务整理等，还有吃饭时不准说话，以前觉得自己已经不算是懒人了，但到这里才知道，我还差得很远，第一天觉得特别累。特别是一天训练已经很累了，还要时时刻刻准备着半夜的紧急集合，稍微慢一点就要受到惩罚。当时就在想很庆幸自己没有去参军，这才是短短的三天，如果是三个月的话，估计我就会是逃兵，哈哈哈，可能是说的有点过了，估计也不会，呵呵。要不然的话，国家谁来保卫。

在这三天里，我们学会了叠被子、唱军歌、打军体拳、走正步等等，三天来每个人都能找到一点点军人的气质，眼睛中也有了那么一点点的杀气，但最多的是倦意，哈哈。其实，在短短的三天过后，还真的有点喜欢上了军营，喜欢军人那种无拘无束的豪迈，特别是看到那些真正的军官们，真的特别羡慕，呵呵。其实每个人只要想认真的做一件事，一定会做好的。每一个人都是从走路开始的，来到军营我才知道我的路已经走错了很长时间，才知道什么叫执行，以前总以为自己对执行力理解的很透彻。在企业里面，我们如果完不成任务，会有很多的借口，可是，在部队里面，从来不找借口，哪怕是刀山火海，也要勇往直前。李云龙说过一句话“哪怕前面是一只老虎，我也要崩掉它几颗牙来”，这就是不服输的精神，这就是亮剑精神。如果能把这种精神转化为企业的一种文化，还能有什么做不到的，订的目标越高，希望就越大。我以前就最怕订目标，总是想把目标订的自己能完成的范围之内，这样就能很容易的完成，可是这能叫目标吗？充其量只是叫目的。一个人如果对自己的事业充满了热爱，并选定了自己的工作愿望，就会自发地尽自己最大的努力去工作。如果一个人一生中没有任何目标，那他最终就会迷失自己。所以我们要订一个比较高的目标，这样才有活着的意义，才不会迷失自己，找不到方向。狭路相逢勇者胜！要有军人的那种精气神，为了共同的目标，勇往直前！为了我们共同的目标加油吧！冲！冲！冲！

Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people

want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal

and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people

who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I

think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have

perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if

we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the

world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of

thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the

999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that

perseverance produces success.

Secondly, there is also a kind of people who are born with cleverness, I

think they are lucky. Nevertheless, if they don’t make a hard work on their way

to their goal, they, absolutely, will become loser. Whether we are gifted for

intelligent, we must be hard-working so as to success. I regard hard-working as

an efficient approach to be successful because I believe ‘pains and gains’. As

for those who do not make great efforts on work, failure follows. In old times,

there is a clever boy who can make excellent poem when he can talk. When his

father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to

show around while never let the boy learned anything. When the boy grew up,

people forgot him because he lost the ability to compose poems and became

ordinary as others. From this matter, we can see that only by hard-working can

we get knowledge and make a good future.

Anyway, I think perseverance and hard-working are both important in our way

to success for they enhance us and produce success.

十一天的大学生军训让我们感觉很疲惫，但是我觉得军训对我们这些娇生惯养的大学生是有好处的。有人问：“为什么要军训?军训有什么好处呢?”我认为：军训能使我们养成不畏困难的精神;使我们的身体素质等方面都得到发展，并有时间培养一技之长，创造新的财富。只有这样，我们将来才能在社会上找到立足之地，成为一名合格的接班人;才能使中国的未来不致落空。军训能培养人有吃苦耐劳的精神，而且还能磨练人的坚强意志。军训让我明白了许多人生道理，之中还有一句话是我感触最深：一分耕耘，一分收获。特别是在面对艰苦的环境时，我们应该坚强，勇敢面对。

十几天的军训是短暂的，但它给我们留下的美好回忆却是永恒的。回到家休息了几天，依然保持着军训期间良好的作息时间。忽然觉得，军训，就如梦一样，匆匆地来，又在我没有细细品味那份感觉的时候悄然而逝，几天的疲劳在肩头隐隐告诉我，已经结束了。很累，而且有酸酸的感觉。教官走了，那么匆匆，却留给我们深刻的回忆。阳光照进来，落在堆在角落的军训服上，军训的记忆一股脑全翻了出来，我在呆呆地想着，

想着那整齐踏步声，以及同学们军体拳、匕首操的整齐动作。军训究竟带给了我什么?记忆已经在疲劳的压迫下变得愈发模糊，对于军训，苦、累这些都是值得回忆和怀念的，但是否还有更重要的呢?

其实我觉得军训几天，我们学到的不仅是站军姿，走正步，练队形。而是在磨练我们一种意识，一种吃苦的意识，一种坚持的意识，一种团结的意识，一种遵守纪律的意识!其实这些已经太多太多，足以让我们一生享用。

有位哲人曾经说过：无法回味的感觉才是最美妙的感觉。对于军训，有些感受真的不能言传，只能在淙淙的意会中回味。那味道就如品一味很浓郁的茶，只有尝过的人才知晓其中的蕴味，然后才能和有同样经历的人

I have found mine a good many times. Sometimes this was expected--often it

was unexpected. I know a man who is not afraid to sleep with a rattle-snake, but

you could not get him to sleep with a safety-razor.

I never had the courage to talk across a long, narrow room. I should be at

the end of the room facing all the audience. If I attempt to talk across a room

I find myself turning this way and that, and thus at alternate periods I have

part of the audience behind me. You ought never to have any part of the audience

behind you; you never can tell what they are going to do.

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to

improve his way of life。 With the tools of technology he has altered many

physical features of the earth。 He has transformed woodlands and prairies into

farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or

hydroelectric power。 Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining

marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways。

However， mans changes to the physical environment have not always had

beneficial results。 Today， pollution of the air and water is an increasing

danger to the health of the planet。 Each day thousands of tons of gases e out of

the exhausts of motor vehicles。 Smoke from factories pollutes the air of

industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside。 The pollution

of water is equally harmful。 The whole ecological balance of the sea is being

changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless。

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before。 As we know，

massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even

poses a great threat to mans existence。 Indifference to these problems will

mean mitting suicide。 Therefore， effective measures should be taken and laws

passed to conserve environment。 Otherwise，man is certain to suffer from the

serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living

surroundings。
