The topic of my speech today is “Being a Good Listener”。

Good listening can always show respect， promote understanding， and improve interpersonal relationship。

Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children， so they will understand them better， and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their students， then they can meet their needs better， and place themselves in a good relationship with their students; students should listen more to their classmates， thus they will help and learn from each other， and a friendship is likely to be formed。

What I want to stress is that each of us should listen to others。 Show your respect and never stop others till they finish their talk; show you are interested by a supportive silence or a knowing smile; be open-minded to different opinions even though you don’t like them。 In a word， good listening can really enable us to get closer to each other。

五天的军训生活结束了，但是它带给我的各种滋味却让我难以忘怀。

军训生活是艰苦的：早上，在号角声中，我们很快就起床了，不像在家里，还能赖床，非要爸爸妈妈三番五次叫个够才慢腾腾地爬起来。起床后第一件事不是漱口洗脸，而是要把被子叠的一条皱纹都没有。早餐过后，我们开始了艰苦的训练，首先是训练站姿，要求我们站得像挺拔的小松树一样；接着是齐步走，步伐必须整整齐齐，做到一点瑕疵也没有；还要训练坐姿，抬头挺胸背打直。就像教官告诉我们的：站如松，坐如钟，行如风。一天下来，我们累得筋疲力尽，就像骨头散架了似的。

October 1st is the national day of our country, which is a public holiday

for the whole country. It’s an important day that marks the beginning of PRC. On

that day, there are plenty of celebrations holding throughout the country, from

the central government to the general people. And public places, including big

squares, parks are decorated in festive theme. In recent years, the national

holiday means the golden week as well, which is a short holiday that all people

expect to. With the improvement of living standards, people have more money and

desire to travel and the golden week is a good chance for them. Besides, for

those people who would not go out, it’s a good time to have a good rest as well.

Therefore, the national day means a lot to the Chinese.

On the weekend I like to spend time in library. I like reading books. There

are many people in the library, but it is very quiet. Nobody talks in the room,

only the sound of page turning. I’m very interested in the space, so I read a

lot of books about space. Recently, I read the book Martian. It is about an

astronaut Mark left on the Mars alone, he did many things to keep himself alive.

After 549 solar days his crew mates came back to take him home. Mark is very

tough to survive in Mars, he is a big hero. In the library I can read so many

story and see the bigger world. I like library.

For the first time in everyones experience! For example: the first time to

ride a bicycle, write a book, play a computer for the first time, keep a dog for

the first time, etc! And my first time is climbing!

On a sunny holiday, our family unanimously decided to take exercise -

climbing Maanshan! Maanshan ecological park is located in the south of Yangwu

village, Daling mountain. The main peak is 329.2 meters above sea level. It is

divided into two small peaks at the front and back. It is named Maanshan because

of its shape similar to Maanshan. It used to be a quarry. All the stones mined

were transported to all parts of the city as building materials, bringing

considerable economic benefits to the local area and seriously damaging the

ecological environment. In order to build a civilized, harmonious and ecological

home, the village committee decided to close the quarry and invest 5 million

yuan to build it into an ecological park. Now there are Jinling, Qixingling,

Jiti stone, Qilin mountain and other scenic spots. When I came to the foot of

Maanshan, I stared at the top of Maanshan stupidly. In my mind, I thought of the

complacent expression of climbing to the mountain. After that, I cant wait to

follow the route to the top of the mountain!

At first, I was a living tiger, just like a hungry tiger, flying to the top

of the mountain! The road is getting steeper and steeper, and the fork road runs

across. Its half the way to the top of the mountain. After a long time, the

physical strength is naturally consumed and the knowledge is not much. Im

sweating!! Seeing thousands of houses, cars and pedestrians under my feet, I

secretly encouraged myself: there is still a little way to go, stick to it, and

soon climb to the top of the mountain, dont be discouraged, learn to stick to it

on this road! Only persistence can make people succeed! Time flows silently on

me. I climb to the top of the mountain. I am ecstatic and rush forward in one

breath. Finally climbed to the top of the mountain! Ah! The scenery at the top

of the mountain is so intoxicating and impressive!

As if everything under my feet is my world! The whole village can be seen

clearly. I learned a truth from it, that is: in life, whether it is laid-off, or

encountered difficulties, or be fired and so on. Dont be discouraged. As a human

being, we should learn not to be discouraged in the face of difficulties. In all

kinds of tests of life, just like climbing a mountain, we cant give up halfway,

as long as we stick to it, we will succeed!

在烈日下，重复着简单而枯燥的稍息、立正，在清晨微凉的雨中，齐步、跑步、喊着嘹亮的口号，在飞扬的沙土中，反复操练着军体拳的一招一式，这七来天的军训生活真可谓煎熬。而教官们也几乎没有一个还是好嗓子。在操场上训练的滋味的确不好受，毒辣辣的阳光肆虐扫荡，一片阴凉的休息地也没留下。而我们军训的目的就是要从这高中第一课中，不仅要练出个“军人样”，还要学会忍耐，学会坚持，学会同甘共苦，学会适应。“军训是什么?练，就这一个字!”一位新生说道。

教官也“疯狂”

在教官的鼓动下，同学们“放肆”地拉起歌来。“来一个!来一个!”“冬瓜皮，西瓜皮，不唱就是耍赖皮!”于是，《团结就是力量》从这边拔地而起，那边《打靶归来》赢得阵阵掌声，“周杰伦”才唱罢，“林妹妹”又登场各地风味，经典流行，齐聚一堂，歌声、笑声，此起彼伏。短暂的军训休息时间成了赛歌会，好不热闹!而此时教官也一改往日的一脸严肃，和同学们一起“疯狂”起来：一会儿担当指挥，一会儿客串主持。同学们自然也不放过教官，“教官，来一个!来一个!”教官们大大方方露一手，雷鸣般的掌声又再次回荡在训练场上。

走过检阅台

当数十个方队以饱满的精神、整齐的步伐，面带自信的微笑，高喊着嘹亮的口号，从检阅台走过时，看台这边迎接他们的是校领导和老师们殷切的目光和一阵阵热烈的掌声。一位新生的家长，站在看台上，看着自己的孩子在队列中，步伐整齐地走过，欣慰地说：“明天我可以放心的回家了。孩子刚放松了一个暑假，真不放心他会不会适应军训的生活。不过看他今天的表现，确实有很大的进步，教官们付出了很大的心血，孩子也坚持下来了，我放心了!”

依依惜别情

今天是最后一天我们通常意义上的军训了。大家都在感慨，时间飞逝，不即遮挡。虽然在军训过程中，同学们老爱抱怨，但到了要和军训暂别与教官说再见时，大家真还有些依依惜别之情。心底的文字堵住出口，我已失去表达，字字生涩。

军训，就是这么一段难以忘怀的经历，一份值得永远珍藏的回忆。军训，让我体验了这非同寻常的生活，更让我感受到了人间的这一份真情。这时我才真正想到，就是这生活中的酸甜苦辣，使生活如此美好。

随着时间的步伐，我们从一个天真、烂漫的中学生，马上就要成为一名正式的高中生了。在这段蝉变的过程中有一个必不可少的重要过程，那就是军训。

军训，这个词对于我们而言，不仅仅代表着我们即将受到长达五天的严格训练，也意味着我们也将从中学习到生活自理、做事雷厉风行的军人气质。

今天是军训的第二天。早上，我们在杨教官的带领下走向了操场。今天我们要学习的动作是跨立、齐步走和跑步走，这些我们看上去十分容易的动作，做起来却是十分的困难。当看到我们又不会的地方时，杨教官总会一次次的在我们的面前，耐心地一次次向我们示范动作的一些要领。

记得我们一起在反复练习齐步走的时候，大家都已经将这个动作要领记得滚瓜烂熟了，走起来也是十分轻松，步伐也非常到位，可是班上仍然有一位男同学总是因为紧张，步子总是与同学们不一样，当教官喊道“一”的时候，大家都迈出了左脚，可是这同学每次都比大家慢了半拍，这是杨教练会把大家先放在一边站军姿，自己就在队伍的一旁很有耐心的给这位同学做示范，边教他如何放松，按正常的姿势走路。

每当我们在烈日炎炎之下，一次次的重复着同样枯燥无味的动作之时，每当我们汗流浃背口渴至极的时候，我们就都会想到自己的教官，想到教官也是和我们一样累，一样辛苦的时候，想到我们现在所做的一切都是为了自己的时候，只感觉到我们身上的累和辛苦都被一阵凉爽的微风带走了，代之而来的是浑身使不完的力量与活力。

It was Mother’s Day. Sun Zheng thought he should do something for his mother.

He decided to help his mother do some housework. After school he went to a shop

to buy some food on his way home.

When he got home, he did his best to cook some nice food,though he couldn’t

do the cooking well. Thenhe cleaned the room. He felt very tired, but he was

very happy.

When his father and his mother came back and saw the clean rooms and dishes

which weren’t so nice, they were very happy.They had their supper together. His

mother said, "Thank you,my child!"

“一、二、三、四”，洪亮的口号在学校上环绕着，口号声，脚步声掩盖了校外的噪杂声，我们作为两阳中学的新生，经过4天的艰苦的军训，正在进行军训会操比赛。

只见高一级13个班的队伍，在各自的教官的带领下，轮流进场进行比赛。轮到我们班进场了，大家精神抖擞，教官领着我们，往主席台经过，来到指定的地方。随着教官的口令：‘立正，向右看齐，’只听见刷刷的碎步的声音，不一回儿，每排的同学站成一条直线，接下来的动作大家都达到了教官平时的要求，然后在教官的带领下，踏着整齐的步伐离开了会场，接下来的每个班都做的非常好，比赛接近尾声鹿死谁手还不知到。

当高一级级长宣布获奖名次，我们的心像波浪一样时起时伏，从他的口中的知我们获得了一等奖时，大家忍不住欢呼万岁，，我代表我们班上台领回奖品时，每个同学都要抚摸一下这个胜利的果实。

这个果实不难得呀!因为它会聚着全班60多位同学，两位教官和老师辛勤的汗水，这4天来，同学们每天勤练基本功，每一个动作都严格按照教官的要求去做，太阳在上空无情地照者我们这群没吃过苦的小庙庙，不少同学每经过那么猛烈的太阳晒过，体力不支，先后晕倒了。

可是他们没有退堂鼓，休息了片刻，又出现在训练场上的队伍之中，汗水像小溪一样顺着眼眶而下，流入了眼睛，那种感觉痛苦的无法形容。大家还是忍着，漂亮的皮肤被烈日晒的好象刚从煤矿堆里走出一样，回到家脱开衣物黑白分明，可是没有丝毫怨言。而教官们比我们还艰苦，穿着厚厚的迷彩服一起和我们训练衣服湿透了，喉咙都喊哑了，在训练场上六亲不认的教官，一下训练场时想小孩子一样有说有笑，十分平易近人。

可是这些已成为往事，分别的那一刻，我们真是舍不得，平时流血不流泪的教官们哭了，依依不舍的上了汽车。我们目送着汽车远去。

盼望着，盼望着，军训来了，中学生活的日子近了。

怀揣着对新生活、新环境的期盼，怀揣着几分对军训的担心与害怕，我微笑着踏进了龙舟坪中学的大门。这也将意味着，我是一个初中生了，我将要接受七天意志的考验。

说起军训，我并不陌生。很早以前，就听大哥哥大姐姐们向我诉苦，他们的一句句金玉良言，使小小的我对军训这两个字眼儿充满了恐惧。现在的我，长大了，勇敢了，自然不会恐惧，但心中还是有几分担心。我的脑海中浮现出一幅幅画面：教官们一个个表情凶狠，稍有做错，巴掌拳头就上了身；我们站在烈日下，汗流浃背，风雨中，雨水满襟，同学们一个个晕倒了…。。我能坚持住吗？能！不知哪里发出这样一个声音，不就是跑一跑，站一站吗？我会怕它吗？倒了就爬起来，错了就改正过来，熬过这七天，我可就是经得住考验的小英雄了！

就这样，我不再担心，我在心中一遍遍说着这段话，勇敢地接受了这七天的军训。

可是我没想到，第一天，我就晕倒了。那天，下着小雨，雨像顽皮的娃娃，一个劲儿地下，滑落在我们脸上，叭叭落在地上。而我们刚刚学完标准警姿，正在雨中站立着，纹丝不动，要锻炼我们的耐力和毅力。可是，我站着站着，就感觉眼前有一张巨大的雨帘，一片迷茫，眼睛怎么也睁不开，前面的同学到处乱晃（其实是我自己在晃）……接着，我被老师扶到了椅子上，坐了一会儿。

这时，老师为我端来一杯糖水，甜丝丝的，沁透心脾，也不知它是什么时候进到我的肚子里，只感觉全身都很甜，很香，很舒服，一股暖流从我身上四散开来，渗入每一根血管里……我一边喝一边看着雨中矗立的同学们，他们这时是多么高大啊！任凭风雨拍打着他们的脸颊，也不动一下，他们也许已经把自己想像成了风雨中的小英雄，火堆里的邱少云！而我，怎么能坐在这里呢？我也要做经历风雨的小英雄！我要与他们并肩战斗！我也要做最好的自己！顿时，我便有了精神，有种跃跃欲试的感觉。是的，这杯水的名字叫信念，它告诉我：我永远是最棒的，要坚持下去，不能放弃。

我站了起来，挺直了腰板，抬起头，和正在课间休息的同学们一起加入队伍中继续锻炼。

接下来的日子里，我倚靠着这个信念，严格要求自己，再也没有晕倒过，而是勇敢地坚持到了第七天养兵千日，用兵一时的一天！上午，我们举行了环城拉练，在冲进校门的那一刹那，我真为自己骄傲，我居然坚持下来了！没有请假也没有休息。下午，我们班的会操比赛也获得了第一名。

在这里，我还想对教我们的两个教官表示感谢。他们的耐心，他们的严厉，都让我记忆犹新。他们的歌声让我读出了军人的柔情，他们的故事让我读出了军人的赤子丹心。虽然，他们就要退伍了，但在我心中，他们永远是英雄！

七天的军训结束了，但人生的考验还没有结束，我的盼望也不会停止。我会继续盼望着，盼望以后的学习与生活中，无数个考验与磨炼。盼望着，盼望着…

通过了在学校的七天军训，我也有了许多感受。

军人真的很难当，小时候在电视上看军人们的样子，真的好羡慕他们，可从来都没有想过这样的成果都是用努力换过来的！而如今，我终于也成为了一个小军人，与教官和同学们一起训练，努力……虽然很累，也要坚持；虽然特别渴，也不能喝水；虽然很想挠一下痒痒，也要忍着……我们经过了六天的学习，终于学会了期盼已久的正步走，你表面上看它很容易就会了，其实学起来也是很难的！

看，家长们都微笑的看着自己的孩子出色的表现，阅兵仪式上我们都信心满满地大步大步往前走。我们一起坚持，努力，带着自己辛勤劳累的结晶，带着我们的喜悦，一步一步向前面前进。因为我们的努力都没有白费，正步走。齐步走、稍息、立正、向右转、向左转等等，我们都按着顺序一个一个做了出来，没有一个错误，没有一个卡壳，迎来了一阵阵老师、教官、同学们以及老师的掌声，得到了教官们的认可，获得了“军训标兵班称号”的荣誉证书。我们笑了，笑得好开心，为什么？因为我们一个星期的努力都没有白费，能让大家认可我们了。

而现在呢？虽然帮我们军训的杨教官已经走了，军训七天已经过去了，但是军训那段美好的记忆还是印在我们四年级五班每位同学们的脑海里。

It seems we are living in the conflict between modern and traditional

cultures every day. Hearing the blaring of horns the moment you step out of your

house, seeing the so called "pop" the moment you open your eyes, you cant help

thinking, "Will the traditional culture be gradually lost?"

Many people believe so. They may put right in front of you all the

evidences they can dig out. They may argue that people are rushing to

restaurants instead of cooking at home, listening to pop music but not

traditional, wearing in a way people couldnt imagine ten years ago. Modern

people like the air of freedom, not to be restrained by traditions. They offer

this long list, only trying to confirm that this world is full of

fashion,competition and temptation and the traditional culture is fading and

will be lost at last.

Though we are now living in a world in which undeclared aggression, war,

hypocrisy, chicanery, anarchy are part of our daily life. Though this is a

skeptical age, and our faith has weakened, our confidence in some aspects of the

traditional culture should and would never be lost.

Wouldnt you agree that our traditional culture is always credited with

modesty, politeness and respectfulness, which have always been treasured for

more than five thousand years?Even in this modern world, people still admire

those with good manners, those who are polite to others or respectful to old

people.

artistic and our Chinese tea culture is always an appealing treasure to people

So there may just be some changes in our lifestyle or our attitudes towards

life, but little change occurs to some fundamental aspects of our traditional

culture that people still treasure in heart.

The traditional culture will never be lost, I believe.

In China, Spring Festival is the biggest day. People will come back home

and enjoy spending some time with their families. So no matter how far they are,

they will figure out all the ways to come back home and get reunited. The house

cleaning work before the coming of this big day always brings me the happy

memory. We can find something lost a long time ago in the corner. It is like the

surprise and makes me feel so excited. On the New Year’s Eve, all of my families

will sit together and enjoy the real big meal. We share our happiness and the

future expectation. What a nice moment.

Now, the new semester has begun for more than one week. I gradually adapt

to my new life in senior school. In senior school, my biggest feeling is busy,

for I have classes all the day and teachers leave us a lot of homework. In the

morning, I have two periods for morning reading, Chinese and English, beginning

from 7:00. After that, I have four periods in the morning and four other in the

afternoon. There are many more subjects than in middle school, Chinese, math,

English, physics, chemistry, history and so on. Sometimes, I am afraid of seeing

so many textbooks in my desk. In addition, the contents are much more difficult

than before. Math and physics are the most difficult ones for me. No matter how

hard I work, I still can’t do well in them, which makes me frustrated.

Therefore, in the new beginning, I must change my learning strategies to make my

work more effective. All in all, my new life in new school is good and rich,

though it’s busy.
