Recently, a debate concerning whether we should recycle our textbooks or not has appeared in our school. As far as I am concerned, we ought to recycle textbooks as a way of protecting environment.

For one thing, recycling textbooks can not only save natural resources such as wood, but also reduce the waste of material. For another, the notes on the textbooks, made by the graduated students are of much help to those who want to reuse the books. As a current research show , recycling books has been proved an effective way in Australia, which obtains a quantity of benefits from this new-developed method.

To sum up, I consider recycling textbooks useful and helpful. I hope it can come into being in our daily life as soon as possible.

Mention environmental protection, seems to be far away from us, but it is always around us. This problem does not allow to ignore environmental pollution. In our daily life often can see the phenomenon of damage the environment.

Remember once, when I take the bus, accidentally saw a small factory continuously into a nearby river discharge some red sewage, meal time, the river was dyed red. I thought to myself, such an environment, the river fish, shrimp and other animal can survive? The water quality, and if we drink will be sick, and even death. Like this for the environmental pollution caused by industrial production are not uncommon, should arouse the attention of the authorities.

但也许有人说：“我没有排出污水废气，我居住的地方也很好，保护环境根本与我无关。”其实我们在生活中，就常有破坏环境，我们每天都用大量的塑料袋，纸巾、电池等的物品，浪费大量的水电资源，这无形中都在破坏环境。我们的这些恶习致使臭氧层不断地受破坏，全世界的气温不断升高，假如有一天，两极冰川融化，全世界的海面将会升高，有一部分的沿海城市可能会被淹没。广东省也是沿海地方自然也有被淹没的可能。每年的水旱灾旱，土地沙漠化，山泥倾泻等与我们没有好好保护环境都有关，因此我们应该树立起一种保护环境的意识。

那么我们应该怎样保护环境呢?我有以下几点小建议：第一点要爱惜能源，不浪费水电资源;第二点要爱护绿化，不乱摘花草，不践踏草地，不乱砍树木;第三点不要制造太多废物，像塑料袋等应尽可能少用;第四点要懂得废物利用，没用的报纸、杂志、瓶子等应送到收购站进行废物回收;第五点要注意环境卫生，不可以随地吐痰，不能随地扔垃圾，果皮杂物应放进垃圾箱。以上的这些都是我们能够做到，并且应该做到的方法。

No One Can Be Perfect

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Today I want to tell you a story about one of my friends, a lovely and smart girl who is always ready to help others. Being our grade leader, she is good at both work and study.

In many peoples opinion, she is excellent and perfect. But one day she told me she was gloomy and insecure. People around her considered her outstanding and flawless, thinking she could handle everything. But the more she thought about herself, the more disappointed she became. She found that she was far from perfection. Last week, she didn’t do well in her French quiz, and the day before yesterday, she was late for a conference. She felt depressed and frustrated, because she failed to be a perfect girl without any mistakes. I was surprised to hear that for I thought she had every reason to be confident. However, the expectation of perfection has become a burden to her. I told her no one could be perfect and I suggested she find her own position.

In fact, people are so eager to be perfect that they demand too much of themselves. They want to be special and unique, and they want to have no defects or weaknesses. However, we can never avoid mistakes and errors.

Its impossible for us to be a superman or a superwoman. No matter how successful we are, there are always some flaws. If we hold that everything should be perfect, we would be overcritical.

My friend now has changed her attitude. She accepts her shortcomings but still keeps a positive outlook. She is even more active and doesn’t allow the mistakes to hinder her pursuit of excellence. And I think thats the way we should be!That’s all. Thank you!

女士们、先生们，大家早上好!今天我想给大家讲一个我朋友的故事。她是一个聪明可爱、乐于助人的女孩。作为我们的年级长，她无论工作还是学习都很出色。在很多人眼里，她是如此优秀，近乎完美了。但有一天她却告诉我，她很迷惘和自卑：周围的人都认为她很优秀，完美无缺，可以对付任何事情;而她想得越多对自己就越是失望。她发觉自己远不够完美。上周她的法语测验考得不理想;前天，一个会议她又迟到了：很多事情做的不尽完美，这让她很是灰心丧气。

听到这些的时候我很惊讶，我原以为她有充分的理由对自己充满信心。然而，对完美的期望却变成了她的负担。我告诉她，没有人可以完美无缺的，她应该找到自己真正的位置。

So I think it necessary to forbid shops and supermarkets from offering free plastic bags. When shopping, we can use cloth bags or baskets instead of plastic bags as we used to.

什么是低碳生活呢?

“低碳生活”(low-carbonlife)，就是指生活作息时所耗用的能量要尽力减少，从而减低碳，特别是二氧化碳的排放量，从而减少对大气的污染，减缓生态恶化，主要是从节电节气和回收三个环节来改变生活细节。

作为文明有礼的中国人，有礼就是要我们在尊重自己生活权利的同时，也要尊重别人的生活权利不受侵害。让我们从细节小事做起，注意节电、节水、节油、节气，使低碳生活成为一种生活态度和生活理念。集合大家的力量，共同保护地球母亲。
