《绿野仙踪》是我最喜欢的一本书，不仅因为其中曲折有趣的情节，更因为书中洋溢着浓浓的对人间真情的向往和热爱，饱含着对人间真、善、美的赞扬。

这本书的主要人物有：多萝西、稻草人、铁皮人、狮子、南方女巫、北方女巫、西方女巫、东方女巫……其中，南方女巫和北方女巫是善良的，西方女巫和东方女巫是邪恶的。

书里的多萝西善良美丽，却从小就是个孤儿，她和亨利叔叔、爱姆婶婶还有一只名叫托托的黑色小狗住在堪萨斯州的一个大草原上。有一次，她和托托玩耍时，龙卷风来了，多萝茜和小狗托托躲到了床底下，而爱姆婶婶和亨利叔叔躲到了安全的地窖里，房子慢慢飞了起来，又慢慢地降了下来，压死了邪恶的东方女巫，多萝茜也来到了另一个国家。

多萝西很想回到自己的家乡——堪萨斯州的大草原，一路上遇到了没长脑子的稻草人、生了锈的铁皮人和胆小的狮子。他们历尽千辛万苦，见到了住在翡翠城的奥斯，奥斯答应他们的愿望，前提是杀死西方女巫，并拿她的扫把作为证明。聪明勇敢的多萝西完成了任务，各自都实现了愿望：稻草人有了聪明的脑子，胆小的狮子有了足够的胆量，铁皮人有了一颗善良的心，而多萝西则被南方女巫和北方女巫送回了堪萨斯州的大草原，回到了她思念已久的家乡。

读了《绿野仙踪》之后，我一下子明白了朋友有多么珍贵，友谊有多么重要。多萝茜与稻草人、铁皮人和狮子，从互不相识到朋友，然后一同渡过难关，同甘共苦，互相帮助，最终实现了他们的心愿。友谊的力量是无限的。

Nowadays, we can often hear the discussion whether buying cars should be encouraged. Some people suggest that we should buy cars. But others claim that driving cars is not a wise idea. As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the latter opinion.

To begin with, there are few parking lots, so the streets are made narrower by the cars parked along the roads. For example, my father could not find any places to park when we went to the supermarket.

Moreover, many drivers do not obey regulations, because people do not pay enough attention to the rule of traffic. For instance, I often see people cross the road when the traffic lights are still red.

Last but not least, the growth of new roads’ construction is usually slower than the increasing number of cars. For example, the length of the road has gone up by 20% in 2002. However, the number of cars increased by 50% in the meantime.

From what has been discussed above, we could draw a conclusion that encouraging buying cars is not fit for today.

My hometown is Guiyang, a small city in Southwest China, surrounded by

rolling green mountains. A river runs through it, with locust trees lining along

both banks. In Spring the locust trees all blossom at the same time, spreading

the delicate fragrance all around the city. In Summer there will be little boats

floating on the river, the laughter of children resonating with the sound of the

running water.

I was born and grew up in the city, and Im very affectionate to it. It

rains a lot, but the climate is very mild, neither too cold nor too hot

throughout the year. It is small and not very prosperous, but people there are

warm-hearted and straightforward. The life pace there is slow and peaceful. Its

a good place for spending hot summer days.

That is my hometown. I love her deeply from the bottom of my heart.

So many children take what their parents do for them for granted, they

their parents, because they don’t get what they want. According to the news that

a little girl went out of the house and refused to go home because her parents

Recently, the weather is always foggy, I desire to go out to play always goofing around by the weather. By reading the newspaper, I see this kind of weather is fog, its because suffer from serious air pollution is formed under certain conditions. The air quality around us, it seems, really worrying wow.

I learned from the newspaper that the recent most region of east-central China shrouded in a fog, there was a joke, "the furthest distance in the world is - youre standing in front of me, but I cant see you!" Miles "haze" fell to the general public had panic, mom always said to me, the air pollution is too serious, cant go out. Many pedestrians travel when put on a mask, in order to cope with poor air quality, but always let a person feel breath.

近期，天气总是雾蒙蒙的，我想出门玩耍的愿望总是被这鬼天气给搅和了。通过阅读报纸，我明白了这种天气就是雾霾，它是因为空气遭受比较严重的污染才在一定的条件下形成的。看来，我们身边的空气质量真令人堪忧哇。

我从报纸上得知，近期我国中东部大部分地区笼罩在一片雾霾之中，有人戏言：“世界上最远的距离是——你站在我面前，我却看不到你!”十里“霾”伏让广大市民心生恐慌，妈妈总是对我说空气污染太严重了，不能出门。许多行人出行时都戴上口罩，以此来应对恶劣的空气质量，却总让人有喘不过气的感觉。

前两天降过一场雪，大家对这次降雪充满期待，以为雪后雾霾就会消散。然而雪后雾霾依在，不少地方的空气质量更差了。报纸频频报道这种恶劣天气产生的原因带来的影响，让我也对雾霾的关注度日益提高。

针对持续的雾霾天气，各地出台不少措施来改善空气质量，如限制车辆出行，淘汰老旧车辆，以气代油等等。可是，我想，这还不是根本，政府部门应该从根本上着手解决相关问题。

Good listening can always show respect， promote understanding， and improve interpersonal relationship。

Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children， so they will understand them better， and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their students， then they can meet their needs better， and place themselves in a good relationship with their students; students should listen more to their classmates， thus they will help and learn from each other， and a friendship is likely to be formed。

Since I was very small, I watched a lot of sports with my father. My father

is a huge fan of basketball match. When he has time, he will sit in the sofa and

watch NBA. So I enjoy the time to watch the match with him. I also become a

sport fan, but my passion on sports is much stronger. I am interested in

watching all kinds of sports, besides basketball, tennis, volleyball and other

sports are favored by me. Though I am a girl, I play many sports in the school.

In many countries in the world, women are looked down upon. It is more

difficult for them to get some work than men. In order to get a job, they

The Culture of China is home to one of the worlds oldest and most complex

civilizations. China boasts a history rich in over 5,000 years of artistic,

philosophical, political, and scientific advancement. Though regional

differences provide a sense of diversity, commonalities in language and religion

connect a culture distinguished by such significant contributions such as

Confucianism and Taoism. Confucianism was the official philosophy throughout

most of Imperial Chinas history and strongly influenced other countries in East

With the rise of Western economic and military power beginning in the

mid-19th century, Western systems of social and political organization gained

adherents in China. Some of these would-be reformers rejected Chinas cultural

legacy, while others sought to combine the strengths of Chinese and Western

cultures.

China is a unified nation consisting of many different ethnic groups.

Fifty-six different ethnic groups make up the great Chinese national family.

Because the Han people accounts for more than ninety percent of Chinas

population, the remaining fifty-five groups are generally referred to as "ethnic

minorities." Next to the majority Han, the Mongolian, Hui, Tibetan, and Uygur

peoples comprise the largest ethnic groups. Although Chinas ethnic minorities

do not account for a large portion of the population, they are distributed over

a vast area, residing in every corner of China.

the central government has increased investment in minority areas and

accelerated their opening to the outside world. This has resulted in an upsurge

of economic development in these areas. Each of Chinas ethnic minority groups

possesses a distinctive culture. The Chinese government respects minority

customs, and works to preserve, study, and collate the cultural artifacts of

Chinas ethnic minority groups. The government vigorously supports the

development of minority culture and the training of minority cultural workers,

and fosters the development of traditional minority medicine.

The relation among Chinas ethnic groups can be described as "overall

and interests creating a deep sense of solidarity, Chinas ethnic groups

resemble a great national family, together building Chinese civilization.

Since English is everything for me. English is my best friend. English is my

soul. English is my power. Without English， Im nothing at all. Nothing. Now， I

can think in English， speak in English， and write in English. Some people think

Im an Indian. Some people regard Im a Pakistan. And some people even consider

that Im an Egyptian. But if I could speak English as good as an American， my

future would be brilliant. So I work very hard.

Today, I was so excited because I finally became a high school student,

which meant my life came to a new chapter. On the first day, my parents went

with me to school. They brought my luggage and helped me to finish the

registration. I was so impressed by the slogan that was tagged on the main gate,

which was Help Your Parents Carry Luggage. When I saw those words, I realized

most of us carried nothing at hand, but our parents did the job. We are almost

16 and not a little kid anymore, so it is natural for us to learn grow up and

become independent. Taking luggage is just a small symbol for us to be

independent. We need to complete all the things by ourselves in the following

three years. When we can handle our stuff by ourselves, we are mature.

My mother has a pair of keen eyes which can speak. Whenever I encounter difficulties， her eyes will encourage me and help me cheer up. When I began learning to walk， mother always lent me a hand and encouraged me to stand up while I fell down.

我的母亲有一双敏锐的、会说话的眼睛。每当我遇到困难的时候，她的眼睛总是鼓励我，帮我振作起来。在我开始学走路时，母亲总是帮助我，鼓励我站起来，我摔倒了。

As I finally threw myself into her arms， her eyes Smiled with praise. Aftei I entered the school， mothers eyes still encouraged me.
