October 1st is the national day of our country, which is a public holiday for the whole country. It’s an important day that marks the beginning of PRC. On that day, there are plenty of celebrations holding throughout the country, from the central government to the general people. And public places, including big squares, parks are decorated in festive theme. In recent years, the national holiday means the golden week as well, which is a short holiday that all people expect to. 星期天早晨只要父亲在家，我是肯定睡不了懒觉的。

一到星期天早晨，我的父亲，至少来我的房间三次。第一次父亲对我说：“快点起床，太阳都晒屁股了。”我说：“不不不，让我再睡一会。”正迷迷糊糊看着父亲潇洒的背影走出去时，他却一个扭头就把我卧室窗帘拉开，并说：“给你五分钟起床时间。”我没有理，然后继续睡觉。正在梦乡畅游，父亲又来了，涮拖布声，流水声，喊我起床声……凡所应有，无所不有。下一秒又来到我房间，拽拽我的被子，一股劲地在我房间里拖地。“给你最后一次机会啊!快点起来。”我说“为什么啊?”我依然不起床，父亲说：“给你毛巾。把脸擦了。”我把毛巾捂到脸上时，一股灰尘的味道直冲我的鼻孔。我说：“你又忽悠我，这是擦桌布。行行行，我起床。”

拖地，擦桌子等等，你能说我的父亲是男人吗?

那天我问父亲：“你是一个男人，一天到晚就知道干家务活，你确定你不是我母亲吗?”他摸着头说：“这些活如果我不干了，你母亲回来还得干，我是不想让你母亲累着，这样挺好的。每次都可以叫你起床。”我说：“你就只对我母亲好，就知道欺负我，这一天天的!”这个时候父亲没有说话。但是我瞬间感觉到他好伟大。

我的父亲最棒。那天我和母亲去父亲上班的地方探望。我们在外面等着，父亲出来了，我跑过去故意问：“你看到我父亲了没有?”就这一句话，当场的人都笑了。而我下一秒，趴在父亲怀中大哭，像小时候一样，只是现在变高了。

当我和父亲松开的时候，我的衣服早是黑乎乎的。父亲出来的时候我脑海里全是向父亲索取，却不曾说谢谢你，直到现在才懂得他不容易。我的父亲用行动告诉我，他是男人，一个堂堂正正的男人。

Christmas Day is on December 25th, though it originated in the western

country, now it is popular around the world. In China, people will spend that

day happily, they will eat apples on Christmas Eve, the children will put the

socks so that they could get the presents from Santa Claus. When I went to

college, I had an unforgettable memory about my first Christmas Day.

As my major is English, I have many foreign teachers, so that I could have

access to the local culture from them. Christmas Day is a big day for them, when

the day came, they asked us to spend the day with them, because most of them

left home and did not have families around. My classmates and I went to the

foreign teacher’s home at that day, we brought some presents, when we arrived at

his house, we found a beautiful tree with shinning lights. My teachers taught us

how to cook all the cookies, we were having such great fun. I made the cookies

with many favors. We talked happily and sung Christmas songs.

I learned how the foreign people spend their big day, it was such

unforgettable for me.

记得我在学玩滑板车时，跌了一个跟头，将手臂摔破了，十分疼痛，我刚要放弃，但突然想起妈妈的话：做任何事情都要坚持才能取得成功，所以我用餐巾纸擦干净血，继续学习玩滑板车，很快就成了滑板高手。

Nowadays, house husband has become a hot phenomenon in modern society. As

we all know that no matter what country, it’s a tradition that men play a core

role in family who always take the burden to earn money to support their family.

But things are kind of different as society develops, more and more men are

beginning to take over housework while women go out from house. In my point of

view, I think this is not a big deal.

In the first place, house husband may be a shame title for men, but when it

comes to money, there is no room for reputation. As society develops, the life

standard are rising, and everything for living is much expensive than before, if

couples want to guarantee their life quality, then they should let the one who

earn better to work, although the one is female.

In the second place, it’s fine for women to support family as long as they

earn better than men. In the past, women always were treated very badly, and

they got no rights to be educated, to work. In some countries, they can’t even

show their face to others. A traditional female role is to stay at home, taking

care of children and do all of the housework. But now, lots of women have a good

job, so that they totally have the ability to be the economic backbone.

Therefore, in order to take good care of family, men are likely to stay at home

to do housework. I don’t think it’s a shame for men, because no matter what you

do, as long as you do it well, you are successful.

To sum up, people should change their opinion about core role of a family.

It’s acceptable for women to support the family, and there is no shame for men

to do the housework. As long as you remember life quality comes first.

上高中了，大家都盼望能考上自己理想的学校，开启自己人生的另一段旅程，我也不例外。可是，命运就是这样，我与理想的学校失之交臂了，我明白我还要再这里待三年。是的，开始我有些抗拒，为什么我还是没能离开呢?带着点小情绪踏进了高中，可是，几个星期下来，我发现这里的一切都不是我想象中的那样糟糕，老师、同学都很好相处，待人友善，而且也不乏教学能力强的老师。慢慢地我开始喜欢上这里的一切。记得有位老师跟我说过：“既然我们只能到这里来，那就在这里为自己奋斗，为自己加油，是金子总会发光的”。一年下来，我收获了可贵的的师生情，同学友谊，生活过得也听充实的。

虽然我没能到达我想去的地方，但我收获了本人没有的东西，渐渐我开始相信那句老话：上帝关上了你的一扇门，定会为你打开另一扇窗。所以我们要珍惜这不一样的生活。

生活中，美丽与缺陷往往是并存的。的确是这样，才会构成我们多姿多彩的生活，让我们体会不同的经历，不同的问题，才能让我们更坚强，更勇敢地面对生活的风雨。所以，请懂得珍惜。

在面对各种事情的时候，我们可能会患得患失，但是，只有我们乐观地对待和处理，我想，我们可能会得收获到更多的东西，而非这一小小的得失，所以，请你珍惜。当我们遇到挫折或不顺心的事情时，我们不妨换个角度看问题，或许这样，我们会发现生活中更多的美。

周一的早上，我在人行道上飞奔，还不时望一眼时间。惨了惨了，今天早上洞口堵车，我为了不迟到只好从车上下来跑去学校。时间迫在眉睫，迟一点儿迎接我的将是班主任的批评和惩罚。

我自是焦急万分，使出全力冲向学校，耐何时间不等人，我刚到学校附近已听到清脆的上课铃声。

这时电话手表响起，我一边抱怨谁在关键时刻打扰我，一边按下接听键：“喂!怎么回事?你今天不来吗?”“快点，班主任还没到教室。”三个声音钻出手表，正是我的朋友们。“我快到了，马上!”我边喘气边说。“那你快点，班主任应该快到了，迟到有罚哦。”“我还以为你请假了，白失望一场!”她们在那边叫嚷。我挂了电话，感受到了朋友温暖的牵挂，焦急的心情变得舒服了很多。

数学竞赛即将到来，我竟被推选为代表参赛，这使我激动又倍感担忧。我从不认为自己数学有多优秀，仅仅是说得过而已。

放学路上，我忧心忡忡地和朋友们倾诉烦恼。“哪有啊，你数学明明很好。”小郭肯定地说。“就是，你数学经常满分，比我好多了。”小刘也附和，不惜搬出自己的失败对比。

When you are reading something in English, you may often come across a new

word. Whats the best way to know it?

You may look it up in an English-Chinese Dictionary. It will tell you a lot

about the word, the pronunciation, the part of speech, the Chinese meaning and

also how to use this word.

But how can you find it in the dictionaiy both quickly and correctly7

First, all the English words are arranged in thealphabetical order. In the

dictionary you can first see the words beginning with the letter A, then B, C,

D, E,... That means, if there are two,words "desert" and "pull", "desert" will

be certainly before "pull". Then if there are two words both beginning with the

same letter, you may lo0k at the second letter. Then the third, the fourth, ...

For example,"pardon" is before "plough", "judge" before "just",etc.

Im back at school now. I wish to express my thanks to you for the

wonderful vacation I spent with you and your family. During the vacation you

taught me how to swim, boat and fish. I really appreciate your taking time off

work to take me around and show me so many places.

Your mother is such a terrific cook! I think I must have gained 10 pounds

just in the week I spent with you. Surely Ive spent a happy vacation, which

will be remembered for long.

I hope you will be able to visit our school sometime. Thank you again.

Chinese there are a lot of traditional culture, such as the Lantern

Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival Dragon Boat Glutinous Rice Balls to eat, to

celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival, summer egg fight...... I love most is the

beginning of the egg fight.

The day of the beginning, I invited my buddy to fight my eggs. At the

beginning of the egg, mother prepared an egg for each of us and said, "who is

the last of the eggs, who is the king of the egg!" First of all, I and Yao

Peiyu, both of us egg head to the egg, who will not let anyone, to fight each

other up. We just fight soon, they heard the click sound, there is a broken egg!

I was so surprised that I looked at my eggs, and thank God, my eggs were not

broken. It was Yao Peiyu who accidentally hit the empty head with my tip! We saw

So many children take what their parents do for them for granted, they

haven’t realized the meaning of being grateful. So they always get angry with

their parents, because they don’t get what they want. According to the news that

a little girl went out of the house and refused to go home because her parents

did not give her enough pocket money. I was so shocked to hear it, I would never

ask much from my parents, because I knew they were not easy to make a living and

I am always feel so thankful for what they offer me. Even the one who gives me a

hand when I am in need, I would remember him and when I have the chance, I will

return. A grateful heart makes us a kind person and create a harmonious

environment.

When it comes to success, different people have different opinions about

what makes it come true. Some people regard hard-working as an essential quality

to success while others believe being clever would lead to success. From my

point of view, I think perseverance and hard-working are indispensable for those

who want to make an achievement.

Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people

want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal

and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people

who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I

think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have

perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if

we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the

world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of

thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the

999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that

perseverance produces success.

Secondly, there is also a kind of people who are born with cleverness, I

think they are lucky. Nevertheless, if they don’t make a hard work on their way

to their goal, they, absolutely, will become loser. Whether we are gifted for

intelligent, we must be hard-working so as to success. I regard hard-working as

an efficient approach to be successful because I believe ‘pains and gains’. As

for those who do not make great efforts on work, failure follows. In old times,

there is a clever boy who can make excellent poem when he can talk. When his

father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to

show around while never let the boy learned anything. When the boy grew up,

people forgot him because he lost the ability to compose poems and became

ordinary as others. From this matter, we can see that only by hard-working can

we get knowledge and make a good future.

Anyway, I think perseverance and hard-working are both important in our way

to success for they enhance us and produce success.

如果没有语言，人类将无法正常沟通与交流;如果没有文字，人类的历史也就无从记录，文化更是无法传承下去。根据各国的历史与发展，各个国家都有自己的语言和文字，尤其是在拥有五千年历史的文明古国——中国，更是拥有博大精深的文字——汉字。

汉字起源于甲骨文，经过几千年的发展而成为今天的样子。它体型方正，也被称为方块字，横、竖、撇、捺、钩、折、点组成了一个个形象生动的汉字。每个字都有着独特意义，有的是象形字，比如“山、水、火”等;有的是会意字，比如“歪、森、困”等。

“字”与“字”组成的词语，更是将我国的语言发挥得淋漓尽致，有的听起来合乎情理，但实则相差甚远，稍不留意就会闹大笑话呢。记得听过一个这样的故事：一个外国人学习汉语的时候，老师说：“‘开’和‘关’是一对反义词。‘开心’是‘Happy’的意思，那‘关心’是什么意思呢?”这个外国人想也没想就说：“Unhappy”引得老师发笑，告诉他：“NO”引得这位外国学生直呼中文难。

我们的语言——汉语，是世界上使用最为广泛的语言之一。汉语一字多音、一字多意，词语的意思更是繁复多变，放在不同的语境里就有不同的意义。我从小就喜欢阅读，汉语字正腔圆，读起来抑扬顿挫，当优美的文字在口舌间流动时，心情也久久不能平复。后来，我有机会在校广播站播音，这就可以让更多的人听到我的声音，感受语言的魅力;站在舞台上主持时，通过话筒传递出我璀璨的梦想。

那朗朗上口的《咏鹅》《静夜思》是我们的启蒙儿歌，那平仄押韵的唐诗、宋词是我们幼时的识字读本;那行云流水的《兰亭序》，平白自在的《寒食帖》是我们的临摹字帖。我自豪地生活在这个文化底蕴深厚的国家，我深爱着自己的语言和文字。
