parents give the children too much pressure, the children feel unhappy about

their parents expectation. Indeed, I feel the way, my parents always want me to

be the No.1, they tell me I should get the highest score, I feel tired, I tell

them how I feel, then they begin to realize their expectation has become a

burden for me. parents should give space to their kids.

What is your favorite kind of music? Do you like jazz, popular music,

classical music, folk songs, blues, and so on? In high school I took one course

called music appreciation which I greatly enjoyed. This was not to learn how to

play a specific instrument but to learn how to read and listen to music as an

art form. We read the stories about the lives of many composers and the history

of the musical instruments themselves. Sometimes we listened to tapes at the

language laboratory, or concerts. Music is sometimes called a universal

language. A composer who cannot speak a single word of our language can make us

feel joy and pride, exaltation and despair, peace and mystery through his

music.

每个人在成长的道路上都会遇到挫折，我也不例外，记得那是三年级下学期开学时一个周三下午第三节课发生的事情。

那天下午课活课，孙老师安排我们自由活动。于是大家就三人一组，五人一群在操场玩游戏。我和周颖，杨思怡一组，我和杨思怡玩长绳正起劲的时候，看见周颖愁眉苦脸地从三楼楼梯上走下来，我心想：“又是哪个小淘气欺负她了呢?”于是我赶紧跑上前说：“周颖，你怎么了，我去拿短绳，和我们一起玩吧。”见她一直沉默不语。我以为她答应了，我就去拿短绳了。谁知道，周颖看见我拿来了短绳，顿时火冒三丈，大声地责问我说：“你干什么，我还没玩长绳，你给我短绳做什么?”我也生气地对她吼道：“我看你愁眉苦脸，以为你不喜欢长绳，所以特意去拿了短绳给你，你居然还说我”。周颖不甘示弱地说：“我有说不喜欢长绳吗，真是的!”说完转身扬长而去，只剩我一头雾水傻傻地站着。

到了晚上，我翻来覆去睡不着，脑海里浮现的都是白天和周颖吵架的情景，久久不能入睡。心想，我和周颖一直是多么要好的朋友，而如今却为一件小事吵架，周颖之前还帮了我的，我怎么能这样对她呢?真是不应该!想着想着，不知道什么时候睡着了。

第二天早上，在上楼梯口我遇到了周颖，我们一前一后地往教室走去，谁都不说话。突然周颖停下来，转回身，打破了沉寂，对我说：“张安祺，对不起，我昨天不应该那样说你”。我顿时脸上通红，也对周颖说：“昨天，我的态度也不好，应该是我对你说对不起，以后我们还是一起玩吧”。说完，我们会心地笑了。

从这件事情中，我明白了一个道理，同学们之间要相互帮助，不能为一丁点小事就吵架，这样大家才能和平共处，友谊长存。
