Chinese New Year is a Chinese traditional festival. We also call it the Spring Festival. It is on lunar January 1st.

On New Year’s Eve, all the people sit around the desk and have a big family dinner. There are some vegetables, some fish, some meat, some fruits and some drink like juice, Coke, Pepsi and some nice wine. Overall, this is a good and delicious dinner. After dinner, we always watch TV New Year progammes. We have a wonderful evening on New Year’s Eve.On the first day of the Spring Festival, most of people get up early and say “happy new year” to each other. For breakfast, people often eat dumplings and baozi. After breakfast, people often make many delicious foods, and children often play cards, computer games and fireworks. On the second and third day, we visit friends and relatives.

Everyone is busy on Chinese New Year, and everyone is happy, too.

firstly,i decide to try my best to learn english .because my english so poor that it affects my other subject.i willface many differences ,such as broadening my vocabulary, training my listening ,improving my write and so on. i must work hard because i dont want to behind the times.

secondly ,i will give up watching football games because every time it takes me two hours ,which makes me not finish my homework .as a student ,study is our duty ,so i wii focused more on study and less on playing . in order to my future ,i will work hard.

Modern folk custom on the Spring Festival also known as the Chinese New Years day. In fact, the origin of the year and the Spring Festival is different.

So "in" how to? There are two main types of folk parlance: a said that in ancient times, there is a fierce monster called "nian", every month, 20, conjure up from village, foraging human flesh, kill. 那么“年”究竟是怎么来的呢?民间主要有两种说法：一种说的是，古时候，有一种叫做“年”的凶猛怪物，每到腊月二十，变出窜村挨户，觅食人肉，残杀生灵。有一个腊月三十的晚上，“年”到了一个村庄，正好有两个孩子在比赛牛鞭子。“年”突然听到半空中响起了啪啪的鞭声，吓得望风而逃。他窜到另一个村庄，又迎头望到了一家门口晒着一件大红衣服，它不知道衣服是什么东西，吓得赶紧掉头逃跑。后来它又到了一个村庄，朝一户人家门里一瞧，只见里面灯火辉煌，刺得它头昏眼花，只好又夹着尾巴溜了。人们由此摸准了“年”有怕响、怕红，怕光的弱点，便想到许多抵御它的方法，于是逐渐演化成今天过年的风俗。

另一种说法是，我国古代的字书把“年”字放在禾部，以禾风调雨顺，五谷丰登。由于谷禾一般都是一年一熟。所以“年”便被引申为岁名了。

Spring Festival is the most important festival in China .It’s to celebrate the lunar calendar ‘s New year .In the evening before the Spring Festival ,families get together and have a big meal .In many places people like to set off firecrackers .Dumplings are the most traditional food .Children like the festival very much ,because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes .

They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck . People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good fortune .

The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days long .People visit relatives and friends with the words “Have all your wishes ”. People enjoy the Spring Festival ,during this time they can have a good rest .

Happiness is a kind of enjoyment. Im particularly happy, because Im going to enjoy the Spring Festival this year! I didnt stay on the night before, and this year I gave my mother a proposal to watch the night. Beauty!

We live at the top, and the people in the yard have fireworks, and we can all see it! Last year put the fireworks, our whole family stood on the balcony, suddenly, a fireworks put up, let us look, it is really big! We almost didnt smoke our windows! When it was just put up, my house was flickering, Jane was just so beautiful!

We also eat dumplings in the new year, parents always call me to elders to speak blessings, the harm of my little beautiful face is red! Dont say it to others.
