看着满地红色的炮屑，我脑子里闪出一个问题：过年的鞭炮为什么是红色的呢？爸爸告诉我，传说很久很久以前，有一个就年的怪兽经常来威胁人们的生活，大家都感到很痛苦。后来，一个仙人来到人间，告诉人们：“年最怕红色！”于是，人们就把春联和鞭炮等都做成红色，驱赶怪兽，从此天下太平。

发威的“炮龙”在我们眼前很快就“精疲力尽”了，最终安静下来，无影无踪。我和爸爸又在楼前的空地上摆出八只高升炮。这种炮很好玩，第一次炸响在地上，然后冲向天空，再在空中第二次炸响，火光像闪电一样。由于这个炮很危险，爸爸只让我远远地望着。

所有炮都放完了，妈妈在高高的阳台上向我们挥手，像在庆祝胜利。我们回到家里的时候，丰盛的年夜饭已经摆了满满一桌子，热气腾腾的。窗外依然的炮声隆隆，整个小区都沉浸在欢乐的新年气氛中。

我们学校的“大嘴巴英语节”到了，这一天，我们班的同学有的带玩具，有的带水果，还有的带图书…真是丰富多彩啊！

下午一到，我们便秩序井然地排好了队，带好了物品，下楼到了大操场。那儿已经有很多班级准备好了。我们坐在了塑料袋和书本上，将物品依次取出，排成一长排，一切准备好后，第一场拍卖会便开始了，我们当商人，让其它同学来买。当我转身看后面时，发现后面的人就像蚂蚁一样，黑鸦鸦的一片直奔而来！等了半天，没一个来买我的玩具，吴雨婕等不及了，大声吆喝，突然有一个小朋友走过我们面前，嘴里还说：“太幼稚了！”又过了一会儿，有几位小朋友睁着大大的眼睛，仔细地找着他们想要的东西，这时，吴雨婕向一位男同学叫道：“走过不要路过，千万不要错过！”男同学一惊，啪唧一下倒在了地上，笑得前仰后合，嘴中含含糊糊说：“我从来没见过这样的高人！”说完就走进了杂乱的人群中。

酒足饭饱以后，我们迫不及待的打开电视来看春晚。大家一边嗑着瓜子，一边说着闲话。春晚的节目真精彩！有惊心动魄的杂技，有让人产生好奇心的魔术，有发笑后又令人深思的小品，还有优美的舞蹈。看得我都入迷了！

当然最吸引我的还是放鞭炮。看完春晚，我们被外面五彩缤纷的世界吸引住了，我和妹妹一家也下楼放鞭炮了。刚下去，爸爸就把我们买的那一大串鞭炮拿了出来，用打火机点着烟花的导火线，只听砰的一声，一个小火球直冲上天，啪小火球在空中炸开了，飞散的火星点缀得天空绚丽多彩。看到这里，我们手舞足蹈欢呼起来，大家都沉浸在一片欢笑声中。
