It is fabulous when a man spend much time on his favorite habit without concerning his financial problems. He will sink into the sea of it and be unwilling to float on the real life again. Besides, the Chinese course and History course are so philosophical that I would feel rather sorry if I miss one of the classes.

Summer vacation, so dad took me home to have a good time.

Back to their hometown, family are very friendly and hospitable, I three elder sister and I said excitedly: "tomorrow, will harvest the rice in the field, you and we go to harvest" I thought to myself, if I have leeches? I began school at seven in accordance with the law in a remote village. Short of funds, the school had only a few classrooms, all poorly constructed.  to say, our teachers were few, too. As a pupil I preferred the playground to the classroom and often liked to play tricks on girls, as by hiding insects in their desk drawers. On one occasion, I even grimaced behind the back of our teacher, caing the whole class to break into laughter; however, instead of becoming angry, he merely asked why we were laughing and wondered whether there was anything wrong with him. On ather occasion, I punctured the tires of a  parked inside the school by ing something sharppointed, leaving the principal frightened and bewildered after he had ticed that. Such were the happy moments in my life at that school. The happiest moment, to me and to all of my schoolmates, however, was the one when the school was letting out at the last bell of the day and we were rhing home as if we would never be back. Once, on our way home, a bunch of naughty students found a crickets hole and exerted themselves to inject water into it with loud cheers. The girls were  less frantic than the boys when they were having a good time at such games as jump-rope, hopscotch and battledore and shuttlecock.

不知不觉我正站在大学校园的一寸方土上，呼吸这里的一死清新，感觉这里的一点清新。大学生活就这样开始了。人生的四年时光已经画下了一定的跑线，你将沿着这一轨迹漫漫远行，大学时光对于我来讲是新鲜的，生平第一次远离故乡，踏上求学之路。我对大学生活是模糊的，经多次调查，大家对大学生活的感受是二字-----无聊，或许有那么一点原因吧!

The bright and dark sides of my university life

Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, I am quite satisfied with my university life. On the other hand, life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected.

Here is the bright side of my university life: Firstly, Equipment of my university is advanced and teacher team is powerful. There is an advanced library that owns all kinds of books. So we can acquire a lot of knowledge from my university. Secondly, all sorts of lectures are given on campus. We can learn much knowledge that is interesting. Thirdly, my

campus activities are rich and colorful. Such as sports meets, speech contests, different social gatherings and dancing parties provide opportunities to make friends. In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in

activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life.

Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.

Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. It is not realistic to make all things on my own way, with everyone liking me, winning the first prize all the time, and so on. Of course, I’d like to lead a carefree life. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. Only after experiencing those can I know what society is like, and what life is like.

To conclude my speech, I wanna say, some positive experiences are surely part of the ideal college life. But, I should not forget about the negative sides. They are not less necessary.

My Happy Times During Winter Vacation

I often go to see my grandma and grandpa during winter vacation. They are both seventy years old and live in the country happily. I can do many interesting things there. I am used to getting up early in the morning and breathing the fresh air in the countryside. After snow, I would like to skate and ski with my friends. When night comes, I am used to sitting by the fire and listening to grandma telling me many funny stories. And I tell her some new things happening in the city. When I have to go back, I am always reluctant to go. I really feel happy living in the country.

If I had my life to live over...I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was strained and the sofa faded.

Whenever I remember my grade school days, I tend to be wistful over. Though no more are those days, I will never forget now wonderful they were. I was efree in my school days and all the year round I lived happily. I was not a hardworking pupil. Every day I directed my attention not to study but to how to out to how to cut classes and class leader as I was. I did not act like one; instead, I even encouraged others to cut classes, too. of course. I was caught out and severely punished. Often in preparing for a test we pupils would work together to devise ways of cheating in the test room. Though I was poor at cheating in any test. I never gave up but would again and again, hoping t way I would get high marks. With the passage of time I have gradually cast off those bad habits I once had always feel embarrassed each time I think of my foolish behavior in 1the past, I owe what I am to all my teachers. Conscientious instruction. Had it not been for them, I would not be a useful member of society as I am today, My grade school days not only added to my experience as a boy but give me now something lasting to remember by. How I wish the past days could come back, for in retrospect they were so wonderful.

的确，时间很多，但却感到更多的压抑。五湖四海的同学，彼此间磕磕碰碰中也不乏温馨存在，只是有些不可调和的矛盾却让人头痛无比。如果说，高中时候被压抑的感情在大学里得到充分的释放，我想那会不会过于泛滥。

难怪人家会将大学比喻为亚社会，因为在这里你随时可以看到种种社会现象的缩影。有激烈的竞争，有残酷的优胜劣汰，有某些心照不宣的潜规则，有在不公平对待面前的委曲求全，有着不得不随波逐流的无奈。

但我们毕竟还是个学生，即使会为了奖学金而争个头破血流，可时过境迁后依然会如同亲密的朋友；即使我们会在自身利益受损的时候撑起一层保护膜，可在旁人水深火热时依然会伸出援助之手。快乐来得容易，悲伤也时常光顾，忧郁的眼神曾经诉说着苦恋的烦恼，张扬的神采尽述青春的无敌。在离社会最近的我们面前，摆放着太多的迷惑和挑战，在抽丝剥茧的背后，我们必将看到生活的本来面目，不像我们想象的纯净无暇，可却是最真实的面貌。

大学生，早已不复过往的神圣。曾经萦绕头顶的光环，如今只剩下质疑的目光。

大学的四年时间，其中一半用来思考人生，在迷茫中找到出路。也许生活的伟大之处就在于，经历了风雨，才能成长，在其他初中高中毕业的人拼命奋斗、埋头苦干时，我们却拥有了更多的时间和能力去思考成人和成才的命题，这是一种幸运，无论将来毕业的我们是不是具备了大学生该有的技能，在思想见地方面，我们都将有自己的一套哲理，而毕业后走上社会这个大舞台的时候，也一定会在这套哲理来指导我们的行为，成就自我的人生。

In the first year of my collage, I joined in a volunteer club. The mission of club is to help those people in need. The first activity I participated was to hold the charity sale to collect the money and donation, then bring them to a primary school into deep mountains. The sales was successful as most of the students supported this charity and donated the money and study materials with kindness. On the weekend we brought all the donations to the primary school, we saw the smile on children’ face, and also saw their poor study condition. I felt myself a heavy responsibility to make the change of it. Since then, I would volunteer to be an English teacher in that school every summer vacation, I also encouraged my friends to do something for those children.
