众所周知，军训是大学生活中一项十分重要的活动，是每个大学生都必须经历的。其实，说到军训，同学们想必都不陌生。初中、高中入学时，学校都会组织新生参加军训。现在回想起来，当时的点点滴滴都还历历在目。那些可爱的人，那些有趣的事，当时的辛苦与欢乐。都依然生动而清晰，一切都仿佛就发生在昨天似的。

然而，眼前的大学军训对于我们，却又都是完全陌生的。面对这未知的挑战，不知同学们此刻的心情如何呢?是对即将来临的艰苦训练怀有一点小小的恐惧，还是在忐忑不安中又跃跃欲试?我想，更可能是两者都有吧。

纹丝不动地挺直身子，站在空旷的操场上接受炎炎烈日的暴晒，间或伴着魔鬼教官的口令，重复枯燥乏味的立正、齐步走、跑步立定等动作，想必这就是大多数同学对于军训的印象吧，坦白说，这些内容的确是无趣并且折磨人的。也正是因为这样，有些同学就会在心底产生对军训的不理解甚至抵触的情绪。

想来也是，这仅仅十天的军训对个人的成长能产生多大的帮助呢?高温酷暑中的短期高强度训练对青年的身体健康是利大还是弊大呢?简单得不能再简单的队列操练，对于祖国的国防建设，又能起到多大的实际作用呢?

既然存有那么多的疑问，我们为何还必须接受军训，军训的意义又究竟何在呢?

大学生军训的重要意义，首先在于它是履行法规的一种形式。

大学生接受国防教育，参加军事训练，学习军事科学知识，是法定的公民义务。我国现行的《中华人民共和国兵役法》第43条规定：“高等院校的学生在就学期间，必须接受军事训练”。我国新颁布的《中华人民共和国国防教育法》第15条规定：“高等学校，高级中学和相当于高级中学的学校应当将课堂教学与军事训练相结合，对学生进行国防教育。” 这些规定从法律的高度明确了高等学校学生在就读期间接受军事训练，学习军事科学知识的责任和义务。国家兴亡，匹夫有责，自觉接受军事训练，努力学好军事科学知识，正是青年学生履行保卫祖国的神圣义务的具体行动。大学生应自觉地承担起这一光荣的职责。

大学生军训也是培养人才素质的重要措施。

当代大学生，尤其是独生子女、来自大城市的同学，或多或少都有诸如：以自我为中心，缺乏吃苦耐劳的意志品质等这样那样的缺点与不足，而这不仅妨碍了个人的成才，也不利于社会的发展。通过军事训练，着重提高学生的思想政治觉悟，激发爱国热情，发扬革命英雄主义和集体主义精神，增强国防观念和组织性、纪律性。掌握基本的军事知识和技能，为造就社会主义四化建设所需的各类人才，为把学生培养成为有理想有道德有纪律的社会主义新人打好基础。

My grade school days are the most wonderful time I have ever had. In those days I always wanted as eagerly to learn as a dog prowls about in search of food. The teachers taught me not only the three R’s but also the way to observe the world surrounding us. They laid more stress on observation than on memorization. Thus we had much time to talk over and trade our learning experiences. What excited me most during my grade school days, however, was to be out collecting specimens of the butterfly. But, to tell you the truth, University is just a beautiful imagination for me at that time, but how on earth is it? I think I have a certain understanding of him now.

大学的第二个特点就是有更多的时间和空间，大学中绝不会有从早上5点出宿舍上课直到晚上10点才回去休息的情况；也不会因为喜欢看《红楼梦》但怕被老师发现而东躲西藏的事情，更重要的是，在大学里有各种各样的活动等着你去参加和体验，而这些在高中都被视为纯属浪费时间的事情。其实，从这些事情中我们也能学到许多知识——课本里并没有的知识，学到许多经验或是教训，学到大学的丰富多彩……

所以，我认为，比知识更重要的是能力，而能力地培养需要一个过程，大学则是这样一个很好的过程。

There are five classroom buildings and five dining-halls on the campus. The classrooms are big and bright. And each of them is large enough for sixty students to study in. Behind the main classroom building stands the college library, where both the teachers and students are busy borrowing and returning books every day. I usually go there once a week for borrowing and returning books. Our college life is rich and interesting. On the one hand, we have many experienced teachers, sufficient books, scientific apparatus, and instruments to help our studies. On the other hand, we are encouraged to take part in many college activities such as seminars, parties,talks, sportsmeets, visiting factories, etc. Basketball and volleyball matches are held almost weekly.

Before I entered the middle school, I felt so worried about the life in middle school, because my cousin told me that I would have to compete with so many excellent students.

Now I get used to the life, I learn many subjects from Monday to Friday.

Though I always meet the difficulties in learning the new knowledge, I get help from my teachers and classmates.
