1967年，三毛第一次出国，奔赴西班牙留学。这时她已经渐渐从童年的阴影中走出，但她的内心，是孤寂的。

临走时，父母反复叮嘱，母亲抹着眼泪说，“从此是在外的人啦，待人处事，要有中国人的教养，凡是忍让，吃亏就是便宜。万一跟人有了争执，一定要想：退一步海阔天空……”

四个人住的房间，她早早起来打扫，抢着做事情。

可是她的礼让并没有换来同等的尊重。宿舍的女孩子们开始使唤她，找她收衣服，借东西。一天晚上，室友们偷了酒在寝室大喝，横七竖八的躺了一串，一个个借酒装疯，笑成疯子一般。

三毛的忍耐已经到了极限，正要发作，忽然回头看见院长铁青着脸，大吼一声，“谁干的?”

“嗨、嗨、嗨……”在杭州体育场路上的一方笼式足球场，时常传出这样的叫喊，许多好奇者循声望去，只见几个孩子正在踢足球。再仔细一看才发现，这些带球跑动、脚步敏捷的小队员，竟然都是盲人！

这些盲人运动员正是费艳秋这次纪录片的主角。“回来后，我们从报纸上看到这个新闻，觉得很感动，在常人看来，拼抢激烈的足球，本不应该属于盲人。失去光感的少年，又是如何寻找、传送足球？如何将球踢入球门？所以我们就决定去拍摄这些盲人小运动员，看看他们平时的训练生活。”

在纽约大学电影系，师生对中国元素的热爱正在升温。费艳秋说，之前就有留学生拍过主题为中国建筑的纪录片。“中国的建筑从雄伟的万里长城，到错落的胡同，都代表中国的历史和文化，不少国外学生看完赞叹不已，让他们对中国文化更加感兴趣了。”

前天，费艳秋和同学又踏上了前往四川、云南的旅程，去寻找那里的中国特色。“放假前，我就和全班同学介绍过丽江边的手工艺人、高声唱着少数民族歌谣的老妈妈，不论老师和同学都觉得很有意思。”

宋胜林是杭州市民间美术研究会会长、著名剪纸大师，最近他也接待了不少对中国传统文化有兴趣的大学生，“有中国的，也有非洲、美洲、欧洲的学生。前几天几名中国学生来我这里上课，他们要出国留学了，希望走之前学一手剪纸，把中国的传统文化展现给外国人。”

宋胜林印象最深刻的是去的一位学生，“结果他在面试的时候，就露了一手剪纸的绝活，把外国考官都镇住了，最后学校以第一名的成绩录取了他。这正是剪纸这项中国非物质文化遗产的魅力。”宋胜林说，“快速发展并变革中的中国，以及辉煌灿烂的中国文化，越来越多地受到了世界关注，更多国家的人开始尝试着去了解中国文化。可以预见今后会有越来越多的留学生回来学习剪纸。”
