Before Chinese students go to college, they have been told about the great

things on campus life all the time, so they have the motivation to study hard.

It is generally believed that a high diploma guarantees a promising future. Some people identify high diplomas with profound knowledge and exceptional competence. 吕曜晖：8月15日之前，军训对我是一种诱惑，向往它的刺激和冒险，盼望着穿上军服，成为一名英姿飒爽的女兵。

The first time I entered the campus as a freshman, I was deeply attracted by her cultural atmosphere and historical connotation.
