avoided giving performance in front of so many people. Though I tried hard to

no way to avoid it. As the pace of modern life continues to increase, we are

always feeling on the go from morning till night. And it is hard to slow down.

Therefore, stress goes hand in hand with the life in a competitive society.

Different people, however, think of stress quite differently. Some believe

that stress is not the bad thing it is often supposed to be. They are of the

opinion that a certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give

purpose to life. Others argue that stress contributes to one’s mental decline

and hence endangers his health. According to them, relaxation, the opposite of

stress, is essential for a healthy mind and body.

Personally, I’m in favor of the former view. I think it is impossible to

avoid stress when one is entirely devoted to the career he pursues. In my

opinion, it is only when the stress gets out of control that it can lead to poor

performance and ill health.

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

记得那回考数学，考了80分，回到家了，我把书包丢在了沙发上。“这次考了多少分？”爸爸问，我听了，忐忑不安的拿出试卷，一把卷子递给爸爸，我赶紧离他十步远。爸爸拿到试卷后，迫不及待的看分数，他的表情变得好快好快，眨眼之间，像换了个人，接着爸爸缓缓的把试卷放到了桌子上，拿起一包烟，有些迟钝的点燃，靠在沙发，闭上了眼睛。过了一会，爸爸平静的对我说；“这次考试考不好，也不能都怪你啊！也许是我给你的压力太大了，你再看看试卷，都是马虎所造成的，只要你下定决心改掉坏习惯，我相信你一定能考高分的。”爸爸这句话使我松了口气，紧锁的眉头舒开了，自信又回到了我的身上。下午考语文，我仔细的做完每一道题，然后又细心的检查。功夫不负有心人，第三天，卷子发下来了，我竟然考了前五名。

爸爸严厉起来可不是好玩的事。那天，我放学回家路过了一家电子游戏室，透过一层玻璃，我只看见一群小孩围在里面，根本不留一点空隙。强烈的好奇心驱使我挤了进去，原来在玩游戏啊，我盯着看，眼睛一眨不眨，那游戏中动画片中的人物可以让你随意操纵，于是，每天放学后，我都到那里去看，看的时间一天比一天长，回来晚时我就说，在学校里扫地；或在同学家玩。纸包不住火，事情终于败露了。那是一个晚上，我和往常一样来到了游戏室，看到该回家的时候，我心里想：‘反正明天不用上学，多看一会，岂不更好？’我又看了起来。“好啊”，张飞快用绝招啊，”我欢呼着为玩家喝彩，那个人更加卖力的打了起来，“哎哟，我叫了起来，只觉得耳朵一阵生疼，游戏厅的人都朝我投来嘲笑的目光，爸爸把我拎了出来。狠狠的教训了我一顿。过后，爸爸气消了，把我拉到他的身边，心平气和的说：“你刚开始只是看，看上瘾就想玩，可是你没钱玩，你就要动歪脑筋，你想想，所有得上‘网瘾’的青少年不都是从看开始的吗？”我听后，才明白从不动粗的老爸会给我来顿“竹笋炒肉”.

我的爸爸真是一个全才爸爸，他能给我汇入不同的爱，让你觉得我不是单亲家庭的的孩子，我拥有别的孩子能拥有的所有的爱，因此，我为我爸爸感到自豪，我更加珍惜爸爸牺牲他的幸福为我换来的爱。
