Since I was very small, I was very shy in the public place, so I always

avoided giving performance in front of so many people. Though I tried hard to

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

上周，我校五年级全体师生迎着清晨第一缕阳光，踏上了综合实践活动的旅程，此次我们将前往坐落在国家4A级旅游风景区宜兴善卷洞中学内的——无锡市综合社会实践基地。一路上，先游览了山清水秀，古朴自然的善卷洞。善卷洞从中国第一旅游溶洞而著名，洞内乱石嶙峋，灯光闪烁，五颜六色，使人仿佛置身于梦幻般的水晶宫。

活动三：陶艺制作。来到陶吧，同学们各自挑选喜欢的模具，工作人员分发了泥巴，我使劲捏泥巴，并把泥巴按在模具上然后用力按压，这里捏捏，那儿敲敲，功夫不负有心人，一件美丽的作品就此诞生了。此次我精心制作了三件作品，分别送给爸爸、妈妈和爷爷奶奶。看着一件件作品，心里特有成就感，活动不仅激发了同学们的创新意识，而且培养了大家的动手能力。

短暂的三天实践活动结束了，我的心中有喜悦，有失落，有收获，有思考……在“智力拼板”中，我们一组共拼成八块（我拼了三块），位列全班之首，让我喜不自胜；而“领袖风采”一课，全班三次不成功，则带给我深深的失落，全班都垂头丧气；惊险刺激的“快乐体验 ” 则让我们明白了团结是何等重要！当然，让我感受最深的要算风靡全球的“多米诺”骨牌啦！

一上课，老师就给我们介绍起“多米诺 ” 骨牌的由来和玩法，可是我们的耳朵哪里听得进去？眼睛一边扫视着四周墙上关于“多米诺 ” 的题板，一边瞄着蹲在教室一角那装满五色骨牌的大箱子，我们的手早就痒痒了。“多米诺 ” 骨牌——我们来了！

我、包欣、陈联、姚娜分到了一组。老师交代过任务后，我们便迫不及待地开始了。第一个任务是每个组员用 28 张骨牌各自搭一条直线。我是进展比较顺利的，没出现什么大的失误，但也有大意的时候，一不小心碰倒一张骨牌而导致四五张骨牌倒下。但最后我们还是成功了，看着四条长长的直线同时倒下，我们心中充满了喜悦。

第二个任务是小组成员合作搭一个 5 块地砖长的直线。可这时，已有三个小组在我们前面完成任务了。时间不等人，我们赶紧加快速度，奋起直追。每个人拿起一堆骨牌挑了一块地砖便埋头苦干起来。时间在飞逝，看着小小的骨牌越来越长，喜悦渐渐飞上我们每个人的心头。可这时失误却多了起来，其中我的失误最大，因为我一不小心碰到一张骨牌而导致倒下两块地砖长。但幸好中间空了一点地方，没有全军覆没。我的心中充满懊悔，恨不得时间能倒流。组员们也顾不上埋怨我，抓起倒下的骨牌继续投入战斗。经过一番苦战，我们终于成功了！看着长长的骨牌伴随着清脆悦耳的“啪啪”声依次倒下，我算是第一次体味到了苦尽甘来。但可惜，我们还是排在第四位。

第三个任务是搭一个长方形，长三块地砖，宽一块地砖。我们看这是我们反超的最后机会了，便不约而同的苦干起来。终于，我们搭好一大片，只剩一个拐角了——希望就在眼前！可这时姚娜却因为停电发出一声尖叫，而这尖叫让包欣的手一抖，而这手一抖让拼好的骨牌以迅雷不及掩耳之势倒下，彻底粉碎了我们反超的希望。哈，真是现实版的“多米诺”效应啊！

全班十一个小组，只有一个小组光荣完成全部任务。虽然有那么多的“失败组”陪着我们，但深深的遗憾还是溢上心头。因为我觉得这件事原本并不难，没有多大的技术含量，只要你细心就行。可就是这小小的细心，真是说来容易做来难。其实，不管是游戏还是学习，不管是工作还是娱乐，又有哪一样离得了细心呢？

开始上课啦！有做小轮船模型的课、有拼装小车的课、有磨豆浆的课、还有玩“水到渠成”的课……最让我难忘的是磨豆浆的实践课了。老师先帮我们分好了组，五人一组，其中两位男生，三位女生。然后讲起了豆腐的起源和历史。原来，豆腐的来历已经有两千多年的历史了。它起源于淮安王刘安，而磨豆浆就是做豆腐其中的一道工序。我细细的打量着磨豆浆的磨子，它是由两块圆形的石板堆起来的，上面一块石板上有一个小孔，是用来放黄豆和水的。小孔对面有一个手柄。下面一块呢，它的下面摆着一个大盆，从中伸出一个管子来，盆下面还有一块石板基座。老师刚一声令下，说“开始”，大家都像发疯似地冲过去抢盆，生怕拿不到盆。我们把浆盆放在地上，磨好的豆浆就会顺着一根管子流进盆里。两位男生推磨子，我放豆子，另外两位女生加水和盛磨好的豆浆。开工！我先往小孔里放入八颗黄豆，男生逆时针把上面的石板转一圈，女生一勺清水，再转一圈加五颗黄豆，转一圈加一勺水……大家轮番上阵。快到我的时候，我摩拳擦掌，跃跃欲试。可刚转一圈，我就明白了“看人做事不吃力”的道理，重重的石板让我显得很笨拙、吃力。不一会儿便精疲力竭，败下阵来。手臂酸疼。难怪有人说“天下有三苦——撑船、打铁、磨豆腐”。

过了很长时间，豆子磨完了，我们把豆浆交给老师，由他来煮豆浆给我们喝。老师说，全班磨的豆浆加起来只能做成两块豆腐，而现在已经过去一个多小时了！啊！磨豆腐确实不是一般的苦啊！豆浆煮好了，我们每人一小杯，浓郁香纯的豆浆比起平时好喝多了！我一口气喝完了，那味道让人回味无穷，嘴角仍留着余香呢，苦一点也值得了。

我们还参加了好多活动，件件令人念念不忘！通过这次实践，增长了知识，加强了动手能力，挑战了自我！真希望这种快乐的学习方式，永远伴随我们的童年。
