A review of the Pursuit of Happiness

“The Pursuit of Happyness” was released on the 15th of December 2006. It is a dramatic story based on a biography of Chris Gardner’s nearly one-year struggle with homelessness. Directed by Gabrielle Muccino, the film stars Will Smith as Chris Gardner, and co-stars Jaden Smith playing Chris’ son, Christopher Jr. For Will Smith’s performance in the film, he was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Actor. The film shows us the struggles Chris Gardner has with homelessness. During the struggles, his wife Linda leaves to go to New York and Chris and his son are left in San Francisco with no income and living in a motel. Chris sees interest in become a stockbroker, but to become one he has to go through an internship. Meanwhile, Chris and his son are evicted because they can’t pay rent, and they are forced to go to a homeless shelter, and even one night had to sleep in the bathroom of the underground rail system. During his internship, he never once mentions his financial struggles and at one point he is asked to give one of his bosses 5 dollars for a cab, a sum that he can’t afford. After an intense six months, Chris is taken into the bosses’ office, and is offered a job as a stockbroker, the final scene shows him being in unbelief of the position he was offered and showing his happiness and gratefulness for the opportunity, Chris realises that his financial struggles are over as he now has a job with a regular income.

Christ was unfortunate, for he got a wife who was not understandable at all (though she has her own difficulties) and was in bad luck with his business. But he was very fortunate also, for he got a son who was very thoughtful and, I think, tough life experiences always make a great person. It is said that this movie is inspired by a true story, and I want to say, this movie does inspire me a lot. What impressed me most are: Christ’s wife left him because of life pressure; Christ’s love to his son and Christ’s strong belief towards life. Through these, I know that it is not easy to be a good husband and a good Papa, since in reality, only love cannot only make everything. And I also learn that one has to strongly believe in himself, no matter how difficult the situation is, but of course, hard-working is indispensable.

Lucy in the movie “50 First Dates” told me this feeling. Every morning when she woke up, she only rememberred the Sunday of last year which was her father’s birthday, also the date she had the car accident which made her only keep memory before Sunday, so she always felt happy living the same habit as what she did on Sunday a year ago with the kind set-up by her father and brother. Hey tried his best to give her a new different meeting every day so as to win her smile and regain their “First Date”. Hey made her tapes every morning to help her remember what happened the day before and the last whole year. Lucy thus felt grateful with all she had when she woke up everyday. On the same day, she always had the same deep gratitude to face Hey with her sweet smile. What a beautiful feeling it is to always feel thanksgiving and to always

appreciate each other’s effort. A touching story between a memory lost woman and a devoted man taught all of us, normal people, the essence of love. When two people can thank each other for their devotion everyday like what they did for each other on first date, love can forever be refreshed and energetic. On Lucy’s side, people with memory will ask for more than yesterday and become critical of their partners day by day, while people without memory will feel grateful for their life and the people around them everyday.

In the movie, when one day Lucy decided to break up with Hey to let him rebuild his life by burning all their diaries and tapes, I cried for Hey’s broken heart. For her, it was just one day feeling. For him, it was long-term affection and connection. It was easier for her than him to give up their love. On Hey’s side, people with memory will always remember the past happiness and

treasure it for the rest of their life, while people without memory will easily give up at the end of the same day.

What a ruthless feeling it is to end a relationship just after one minute thought. People with fragile mind would easily ruin a long-term relationship no matter what reason they have. The torture between Lucy and Hey tells us the fatal factor to do harm to intimacy between a couple is their fragile mind of

balancing emotion and reason. Thus most of couple lose their trust for each other after experiencing this weakly testing broke-up.

No matter how hard and stressful the situation was, and how dangerous things he faced, he never went back just because of the greatest love of a simple father. In the movie, we are all moved not only his actions of kindness, but also his insistance and the greatest of all- a fathers love.

魔术师THE ILLUSIONIST FACTS

When word of the famed Eisenheims (Ed Norton) illusions reaches Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell), the ruler attends one of the magicians shows in order to debunk the performance. But when the princes intended, Sophie von Teschen (Jessica Biel), assists the magician onstage, Eisenheim and Sophie recognize each other from their childhoods, and pretty soon theyre totally hot for each other. As the clandestine romance continues, the princes best cop (Paul Giamatti) is charged with exposing Eisenheim, even while the magician gains a devoted and vocal public following. Before long, Sophie turns up dead, and the logical suspect is Eisenheim himself.

一线声机"Cellular" has the setup for a solid straight-ahead thriller: A kidnap victim who does not know where she is being held phones a total stranger who must then stay connected on his cell phone to find her before she is killed. Joel Schumacher scored earlier with a similarly phone-themed Larry Cohen story, "Phone Booth." As executed by tone-deaf director David R. Ellis, however, "Cellular" becomes an unintentionally hilarious cousin to Brian de Palmas "Raising Cain" and "Snake Eyes."

Ellis seems to have unwittingly spliced together two different films with

mismatched tones: Kim Basinger as the kidnapee and Jason Statham as the kidnapper occupy the deadly-serious, straight-to-video thriller half, while Chris Evans as the rescuer and William H. Macy as a police officer seem to be in a "Saturday Night Live"-alum action comedy. Nowhere else is the disjointedness in tone more apparent than when Basinger and Evanss performances are placed side-by-side during their conversations: The scenes keep cutting between an overwrought Basinger wringing out every drop of melodrama, while a blissfully inept Evans seems to be channeling a cross between Chris Kattan/Jimmy Fallon and Ben Affleck/Keanu Reeves.

Meanwhile, Ellis pulls out tricks intended to generate thrills and surprises. He throws in out-of-nowhere "shocks," a la "Final Destination"; he throws in

flashbacks; he throws in a gun-blazing Macy in Jerry Bruckheimer action-hero slo-mo; and yet, Ellis has no handle on staging any of them competently. Case in point: "Cellular" is the proud owner of one of the most ineptly scored chase sequences ever, as if Ellis simply heard a snippet of the songs lyrics ("...where you gonna run to?") literally and paid no attention to the inappropriateness of the accompanying music (which just bop, bop, bops along). (The song is even reprised during the closing credits, which itself is misbegotten in conception.)

And yet, for all of its failures as art, "Cellular" is always entertaining for those very same faults

Film Review of Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice is a famous classic written by Jane Austen. I was attracted by the characters and plots of the film adapted from the novel.

Elizabeth is the heroine of the story. When she meets Darcy, a handsome, rich but arrogant man, on the party for the first time, she is dissatisfied with the proud manner of Darcy. Darcy looks down on those who are in a lower social class,

including Elizabeth. However, after getting to know the courage, independence and confidence of Elizabeth, he almost falls in love with her. But Elizabeth believes the lies of Wickham which causes her great prejudice to Darcy. She rejects Darcy’s propose marriage to protect her self-respect. Finally, Darcy goes away because he couldn’t tolerate Elizabeth’s sisters’ vulgar manners. He writes a long letter to explain his thoughts and love to Elizabeth. After reading it, Elizabeth feels guilty about

misjudging Darcy and regrets turning him down. As time goes away, Darcy gradually improves his pride and keeps helping Elizabeth’s family out from troubles. At last, Elizabeth removes the prejudice to Darcy and accepts his propose marriage.

From the film I learn that we can’t judge a man immediately by the first impression. If we are controlled by our subjective senses, it will easy cause prejudice and

misunderstanding and probably influent the developments of many events. To avoid this situation, we need more communication to understand others deeply by ourselves.

"Harry Potter and theHalf-Blood Prince" — The sixth movie in J.K. Rowlings fantasy series about the young wizard is the franchises best so far, blending rich drama and easy camaraderie among the actors with the visual spectacle that until now has been the real star.

The hocus-pocus of it all nearly takes a back seat to the story and characters this time, and the film is the better for that, brimming with authentic people and honest interaction — hormonal teens bonding with great humor, heartache that will resonate with anyone who remembers the pangs of first love. The movie escalates the peril for Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his best pals, Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), while giving the threesome that first collaborated as prepubescent kids their best platform yet to show their maturing acting chops.

Director David Yates, who made the fifth film and is doing the final two, stays true to the Rowling recipe yet infuses it with a freshness and energy that make it seem like a new start, not the stale old chapter six it could have been. Harrys main challenge this time involves an assignment from headmaster Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) to retrieve a critical memory that a new teacher (Jim Broadbent) possesses about the evil Lord Voldemort.

Along with the splendid visuals, the movie offers stirring support from Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane and other co-stars. PG for scary images, some violence, language and mild sensuality. 153 minutes. Three and a half stars out of four.

Everyone knows that Meryl Streep is the high priestess of drama, but she never gets enough credit for her comedy skills. That should change with The Devil Wears Prada, a sinfully funny, deliciously glossy take on the 2003 best seller by Lauren Weisberger, who denies writing it as a poison-pen letter to her former boss, Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The names have been changed, of course, to ward off lawsuits. Stepping up to the plate as imperious fashion editor Miranda Priestly, Streep knocks every laugh out of the park. More remarkably, she humanizes a character who was little more than a bitch in Manolos on the page.

Streep teams up hilariously with Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, the "smart fat girl" (shes a mere size 6) who applies for the job as Mirandas junior assistant at Runway magazine. Andy, a journalism major at Northwestern, had her eye on The New Yorker, but is told that if she can run the gantlet of Miranda for a year, there is no publishing Everest she cant climb. Before you can say "makeover,"Andy is transformed from a gawky giraffe into a swan who can trade up in lovers -- from sweet chef (Adrian Grenier) to literary stud (Simon Baker) -- and from cotton blends to chicest of Valentino, Chanel, Donna Karan, Bill Blass, Galliano and Prada. Guys who know squat about labels can take pleasure in the uberbabes wearing the threads.

Director David Frankel makes expert use of the light touch he brought to HBOs Entourage and Sex and the City. And screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna leeches out the books malice in favor of wicked sass. Does the movie bite the fashion hand that feeds it? You bet. But it also pays due respect to the artful details turning the wheels of an industry that only seems frivolous. Theres no doubt Andy learns much from watching Miranda at work, even with all the insults and fools errands. The script tries to paint Miranda into a corner -- the lonely careerist who cant keep a husband or find personal happiness -- but Streep wont wallow in the cliches of victimhood. In a party of a movie, her performance is a comic and dramatic tour de force. comic and dramatic tour de force.

Mike ODonnells wife wants a divorce, his kids are remote, he didnt get the job promotion he expected, and everything else in his life has gone wrong since that magic year when he was 17, a basketball star, in love, and looked like Zac Efron instead of Matthew Perry. Hes obviously a case for treatment by a Body Swap Movie.Revisiting the trophy case at his old high school, Mike encounters a janitor who, from the way he smiles at the camera, knows things beyond this mortal coil. If only Mike could go back to 17 and not make all the same mistakes. In "17 Again," he can. He falls into a Twilight Zone vortex and emerges as Zac Efron. They say be careful what you wish for, because you might get it. Mike should have been more specific. Instead of wishing to be 17 again, he should have wished to go back 20 years in time.Yes, he becomes himself trapped inside his own 17-year-old body.

I attended a screening held by a radio station, which attracted mainly teenage girls who left their boyfriends behind. When Zac Efron took off his T-shirt, the four in front of me squealed as if there were buzzers in their seats. Now that hes a little older, Efron has a Tom Cruiseish charm, and a lot of confidence. Why Matthew Perry was cast as his adult self is hard to figure; does your head change its shape in 20 years?

When it comes to spy thrillers, Tony Gilroy knows the game. The formula for a crackling entry into this genre is simple enough: keep the action moving and the twists coming, then engage in one late innings sleight of hand that pulls the rug out from under everything. Gilroy, with an adroitness Hitchcock might admire, works admirably in this arena, turning in a screenplay thats more diabolical and pulpy than his convoluted directorial debut, Michael Clayton, but no less fun. He maximizes his assets, and considering the wattage of his stars, they are considerable. Although one could not consider the plot for Duplicity to be air-tight, the holes are small enough for things to remain afloat until after the proceedings have ended. A post-movie dissection on the way home in the car will reveal some obvious plotting problems.

周日中午没睡午觉，特意看了动画片《美人鱼公主》，相信这部动画片很多人都看过，因为它美丽，浪漫，充满了神秘的气息，而且制作精美，设计巧妙，又尤其美人鱼形象堪称一绝。

不想再说更多的剧情，因为它真的很出色。看的过程中，频频出现人们会意的笑声，整个氛围相当的轻松和惬意。这个片子做得非常地道，一点儿也没有是由西方人演绎的感觉，不论是故事还是其中传达的意境，不论是画面还是其中的细节，都是东方式的;唯一特别的可能就是出现的现代的口语，比如ok之类的。

开学之初，校本培训时学校组织教师看了一部有关美国中小学教育的电影《热血教师》，讲述的是美国当代教育家罗恩·克拉克在纽约一所小学任教时的一段经历，看完之后深有感触，那就是要想成为一名好教师，首先必须做一个有“心”人，必须具有“五心”：爱心、恒心、信心、耐心、细心。

“爱”是人与人之间交往沟通的桥梁，作为一名教师对待学生更应如此，并且“爱”是相互的，是有回报的，一个充满爱心的教师同样也会受到每一个学生的爱戴与尊敬的。影片中克拉克教师就是一个充满爱心的人，在管理班级的过程中，不管学生多么调皮，多么让他难堪，始终没有一句对学生的侮辱、不耐烦、指责的字眼，而是始终用正面、鼓励、引导性话语告诉学生，教师爱他们，大家是一个大家庭。克拉克教师的言行始终是流露出对学生的关爱和期待，教师是学生的榜样，教师对学生的爱，学生感受到了，并给予回报。为了和学生拉近距离，克拉克教师和学生打赌，他向学生学双跳，学生向他学知识。克拉克教师用自我开始的笨拙和之后的熟练，用自我学习过程中的艰难告诉学生，他们也会克服种.种困难，取得成功的。这些都源自克拉克教师对学生的爱。

做任何事情都必须持之以恒，教育更应如此。克拉克刚接手班级不久，遇到了各种各样的打击和挫折，同事的冷眼旁观，领导的不支持，家长的不配合，异常学生的调皮和刁难，也曾让他彷徨，让他苦闷，他想过退缩，想过放弃，但他咬牙坚持了下来，一如既往，忍辱负重地踏实工作，默默奉献，一步一个脚印，直到最终的成功。这都源自克拉克做事的恒心和毅力，教书育人更该如此。

三、教书育人必须有信心：

首先要对自我有信心，其次要对学生有信心。克拉克因材施教地抓特殊学生，源于对学生的信心。为了培养学生的信心，他在教室中摆放一个大蛋糕，插上蜡烛，用自我跳崖的事例，告诉孩子，相信自我，相信教师。影片中有许多十分震撼人的镜头。一个异常特殊的学生泰肖恩，已经被记两次大过，再有一次就得被开除。他在班级中打架两次，一次要自我走，一次闹到了校长室，都被克拉克教师拦了下来，他诚恳地对这个学生，对他的监护人讲：“我们不应当把这样的孩子赶出校门，应当把他留在学校里。我相信他有理由这样做”。他晚上到莎美卡家里调查她家庭作业没有做好的原因，为她繁重的家务震惊，主动帮忙，却被孩子家长误解，告到学校要开除他。这位教师坚定地告诉莎美卡的家长，“莎美卡是一个聪明优秀有领导才能的孩子，我们应当共同努力让她到重点中学继续学习。”孩子的母亲从惊讶怀疑到默守观望，同意让孩子的保姆多看其他小孩子一些时间，好让孩子写作业。说到那里，我们不难看出，克拉克教师之所以能对每个学生了如指掌，因材施教，是因为他从心里坚信：这些孩子都是好孩子，他们需要的是关爱，是巨大的爱心。他始终坚信：学生都是好的;自我必须能教好他们。

四、教书育人必须有耐心：

克拉克教师不怕麻烦，做事很有耐心，所以他对学生因材施教。他周六约上爱赌博的孩子到咖啡馆，给他买着午饭，和他经过赌博的游戏，使他学会数学。他对每一个学生都很有耐心，从来没有因为他们的特殊、格格不入、不认真学习而横加指责，总是不厌其烦地从跟头去寻找原因并努力解决，采用让大家都能理解的方式方法。

五、教书育人必须细心：

作为一名教师，对待学生必须无微不至，不但要关心他们的学习，还要关心他们的生活，家庭等。回过头来看克拉克教师，他的课堂不只是在教室，操场、学生家里、咖啡馆、走廊都是他教育学生的场所，他的教育也不只是传授知识，而是渗透到学生的学习，生活、娱乐、交友等方方面面，学生一些很细微的鸡毛蒜皮的小事和细节，他都会去关注，去了解，好的他会及时鼓励，坏的他及时纠正，可见他是一个多么细心的人。再看看我们的学生，他们也有自我的特长，如果我们能细心发现，鼓励支持，因材施教，激发他们的兴趣，使学生的特长得到发挥，那么学生也必须会给我们带来惊喜。

以上是我看过这部影片后的一点心得和感悟，期望能与同行共勉，以克拉克为楷模，朝着一名优秀教师的目标努力进取。

今日我怀着学习的心态看完了电影《热血教师》，我的心为之震撼。

电影中的主人公克拉克先生本是一位教育业绩连续四年获得第一的事业有成的教师，可他却为了实现自我的人生价值，毅然在庆功会上辞去了工作，来到纽约，开始了他的新生活。但这次，他应对的学生却和以往不一样，这是一群来自社会底层、无拘无束、自由散漫的学生们，他们在教室里赌博打架跳舞化妆，公然向新教师挑衅，将教师独自粉刷一新的教室弄得一团糟，课上坐在桌子上聊天，完全无视教师的存在，从不遵守学校的纪律……应对这样的学生试想如果是我，我可能会无可奈何，不明白该如何帮忙这些孩子。而克拉克教师却怀着一颗热忱的心与独特的教学方法，用独特的眼睛，看到了一群天真孩子完美的未来，用宽容的心开启了孩子们对未来封闭的心，使他们不再懦弱，不再气馁，不再“沉沦”，而是敢于在别人否定的眼光与评语中开始做梦，敢于冒险，去追逐自我人生中最渴望的东西。是克拉克教师让我相信教师是一个能够把人的创造力、想象力和全部能量、智慧发挥到极限的、永远没有止境的事业。让我更加坚定了要做好一名优秀教师的梦想。

细细观看该影片，反复思索着克拉克教师是如何来改变这些孩子的。

1、首先他用耐心与坚韧将自我制定的班规一条一条地渗透给学生，异常精彩的是克拉克教师用特殊的办法联合食堂工作人员让这些顽皮的孩子乖乖的实行了第4条班规：吃饭时要排队，不能插队。

2、他用他的爱心与智慧，甚至不惜伤害自我，用独特的教学方式感染了学生：为了吸引学生安静认真地听自我讲课，他承诺，只要学生安静地听，每过15秒钟，他就喝下一瓶酸奶。为了看教师出丑(呕吐)，也为了好奇，学生真的安静地听教师讲课，当有人说话时，大家群起“嘘”之。一节课下来按照30分钟计算，教师喝掉了4_30=120瓶酸奶。难受吗?当然难受，可是，教师让学生看见了自我要他们学习知识的毅力和决心。为了让学生记住美国的总统和历史事件，教师自编了说唱，配上音乐，边跳边唱。当学生从惊奇、雀跃、参与中平静下来之后，他们必定感受到了教师新颖的教学方法带来的神奇变化，更感受到了教师为了让他们学习好，所付出的努力。这个教师在他们心目中也是有魅力的教师。

3、为了融入学生，他向学生学跳绳，学生跟他学知识，这在普通人看来似乎有些不可想象，可是我觉得这种精神值得我们学习，我们教师就应当和孩子像朋友一样平等相处。

最终，在克拉克先生的教育下，这群孩子的成绩获得了全校的第一名，每一位学生都得到自我的特长奖，刚开始最叛逆的女学生两门学科都是全市第一。

回过头来看克拉克教师，他是一个凡人，所以他也会对着孩子生气‘可是他又不是一个凡人，他心里有大爱有圣心，他当教师，源于对学生的爱;他遇到问题、处理问题，基于对学生的爱;他坚信，学生都是好的;他坚持自我制定的班规，坚定自我的目标。他是一个意志坚定的人，他是一个用心良苦的人，他是一个刻苦钻研的人，他是一个热爱学生热爱教育热爱生活的人。他是我敬佩的人。

再反思自我的教育，平常缺少了对学生的宽容、缺少了一些特殊的教育方式。缺少了和学生打成一片的状态。可是我相信经过不断地努力我也会成为一名优秀的教师。

这星期的星期五午时的班会是电影课，电影课要看的是一个美国电影《热血教师》。

这部电影讲的是一个令人尊敬的教师罗恩克拉克。这位教师我第一眼看上去异常斯文，根本不贴合这部电影的名字。随着剧情一步步发展，罗恩教师给我带来越来越多的感动与震撼。

他选了一个别名叫“纽约全市最差的混乱班级，这位新来的教师罗恩，他表现出了异乎常人的耐心。班上有一个名叫莎美卡的学生，这个学生有一次吃饭时插队，教师让她自我陪全班一齐挨饿，直到她承认。罗恩教师还耐心地告诉学生们他制定的班规。还有一次因为美卡的家庭作业没有做好，所以罗恩教师要到莎美卡家去家访，明白了莎美卡身上有繁重的家务时，他就帮莎美卡做家务，因为这个举动，莎美卡的妈妈明白后要求学校开除罗恩教师。可是罗恩教师告诉莎美卡妈妈，莎美很有前途，莎美卡的妈妈最终答应不让莎美卡照顾小孩，让她有时间作作业。

结局是罗恩教师教的这个全市成绩最坏的班，意外地考得很好。并且随后他的学生全部考上重点高中。

罗恩教师之所以会成功，是因为他有着非比寻常的耐心和宽容。并且，他有着梦想，还让学生们有梦想，并为梦想不停地努力，因为这几点，他算得上是名副其实的热血教师。
