它自身散发出的绿光，刺痛了死神的双眼，它自身携带的利剑，割破了死神顽强的血脉，让死神对它望而却步。它是沙漠中代表希望的战士――仙人掌。
也许在许多人的眼里，会认为仙人掌不过是众多植物的一种，平凡无奇。名人是寂寞的，他们为了辉煌而生存，却早已成为名利的傀儡。但是平凡的人同样寂寞，就像仙人掌。她生长在沙漠，孤身一人直直地站在烈日下，独自承受着风的洗礼，光的煎熬。并且，不能诉说也不可能诉说。因为在茫茫沙漠中，很少有人经过。
也许她是被上帝遗弃的一件失败品。仁慈的上帝在造物时实在是太累了，才会不小心让荆棘缠绕着她柔弱的身体，伴随它生生世世，正是那些如针般的刺，让生命不能靠近。同样，蔷薇的身上也布满了刺，幸运的是，她绽放的花苞，犹如少女绝色的容颜，倾国倾城，众生都为她痴迷。为了一搏红颜，就算满手鲜血，也能全然忘却。可仙人掌却没那么幸运。人们说，他身上的刺是为了防御，我说，在死寂的沙漠里，又有什么可以值得提防的呢?
我觉得我就像一棵仙人掌。我的坚强正如她的绿光。绿光是希望的象征。所以一路上希望的精灵伴随身旁愉悦歌唱。我的勇气正如她的利剑，一把能让困难中的荆棘支离破碎，恐惧的幕布在风中翩翩起舞的利剑。仙人掌为了生存，在体内蓄满水分。而我的体内装满苦涩的秘密。与她不同的是，我的身边有许多朋友，他们总能让我幸福地上扬嘴角。
他们送给我的快乐，我珍藏在一个叫做“回忆”的盒子里。但是仙人掌却没有。炽热的阳光，使它体内的水分不断承发，水气氤氲在空气中，朦胧近似透明，没有人知道，那是它的泪。可惜，它的弥漫在空气中的泪水，并不能滋润其它细小的生命，尽管它有一颗足以溶化冰川的心。
如果有一天，我能来到你的面前，我会伸出我稚嫩的双手，然后说：“请把你的泪水给我，我愿用我的微笑交换。”

那天黄昏，沿着乡路骑车归来，路两旁参差着高大的白杨树，透着夕阳的光芒，树影斑斑驳驳，一片一片光晕笼在我百无聊赖的狭长的影子上。路两旁一望无际的玉米地，透着清香，微风拂过，一阵阵沙沙作响。我无心急于归家，几近徜徉着，任凭夕阳把我的影子恣意拉长。
拐过岔路，我向着家的方向转回。高考过去了十几天了，自我感觉发挥还算正常，可是成绩一直没有下来，我的情绪一直在膨胀与起伏中跌宕，此时跌进了低谷，无心流连。美丽的夕阳此时也黯然神伤。转过了杨家的院墙拐角，那条笔直的大路的尽头就是我家。
我一直埋着头，无精打采地踩着自行车踏板，直到快到家的时候，我才抬起头，慢腾腾地跨下了车子，此时我才注意到，父亲一直手搭凉棚，迎着灿烂的夕阳，等着我归来。我低着头说了一声“爸我回来了”，父亲没有言语，他微笑着，凝视着我，眼睛里闪着异样的光彩，我感觉父亲有些怪怪的，一头雾水。我望进父亲的眼睛深处，一股暖流触动了我。父亲指着院子说，你看谁来了?
