在我十二岁那年，过年时，我吵着向正在洗碗的母亲要零花钱去买烟花。母亲让我先去帮她拿个篮子过来放碗筷，我求急心切，拿完篮子转过头，一把撞上了我家的柱子，向后倒下，便昏睡过去了。

“啊！痛……”我从昏睡中被痛醒。“会喊痛了，说明没事了，醒过来就好了”，原来是医生给我打针把我疼醒的。可能是太困了，也可能是舍不得第一次靠着父亲的肩膀睡觉，我居然舍不得放手，舍不得有生以来第一次被他抱在怀里的感觉。

嫁给父亲后，母亲做了家庭主妇，“家庭主妇”这个词对于我母亲来说并不容易，因为那时候家里有两亩田地，四亩果园，父亲出海打渔，家事都是母亲在料理的，除了家务，母亲还要带我们四个孩子，奶奶、外公、外婆早逝，爷爷重男轻女，所以我们家的孩子几乎都是母亲一手带大的。说母亲没有工作，是不客观的，其实她的工作二十四小时都没有停过。白天干农活，做家务，带孩子，晚上只是少了干农活这一项，其他的都得干。
