老绅士让奥利弗去帮他送钱。奥利弗一出门就被一个自称是姐姐的人抱住。原来是费勤的同伙南茜。南茜受了费勤的指示，本来她是一位善良的农家女孩。

奥利弗重新又被带到费勤的贼窝里。费勤打他，还抢走了老绅士的钱。善良的南茜不忍心看到奥利弗被打，就向费勤求情。谁知，南茜被打倒在地上。

在一次抢劫中，他们把奥利弗带去了。奥利弗被枪打倒在地上，最终被好心的梅丽夫人收养。梅丽夫人和她的侄女罗丝精心照顾着他。当奥利弗完全恢复时，梅丽夫人带奥利弗去看望那个老绅士。老绅士简直不敢相信自己的眼睛，那么多年过去了，奥利弗居然能与他相见，还相安无事。老绅士说，他是来找塞克斯的，塞克斯和费勤他们是一伙的，他是奥利弗同父异母的哥哥。老绅士想找塞克斯要回奥利弗应有的遗产，而不是让他自己独吞。

在南茜的配合下，他们终于有了一丝线索。而南茜却在屋子里。忠于，坏人被捉了起来，而他们也证实了罗丝与奥利弗有亲戚关系，罗丝是奥利弗的阿姨，但她并不是梅丽夫人的侄女，她也是个孤儿。

正义总能战胜邪恶。就算你无亲无故，贫穷无依，有些时候，也常常会有人来温暖你。这个世界，还需要更多的爱。

暑假里我看了好几本课外书，每本都很好看。但让我映象深刻是那本狄更斯写的《雾都孤儿》。狄更斯是十九世纪英国最著名的现代主义作家，当他些这本书时，年仅二十五岁。我看完这本书后，书里的情节会久久的在我的脑海里浮现。

孤儿奥立弗是上流社会一个有钱人家的私生子，他年轻的母亲因长期得不到关爱，只身一个人饱经跋涉，思虑之苦，在生下他后就辞世了。奥立弗来到人世后，从未得到过母爱和家庭的温暖，在当时所谓的慈善机构济贫院里过着地狱一般的凄苦生活。九岁被送到一家棺材店当学徒。老板刻薄凶狠，他在那里因忍受不了虐待和欺欺负，一次又一次遭受毒打后，连夜逃了出去。

在去伦敦的路上被小偷所骗，一进城便身陷贼窟，强盗头子一心要把他训练成一个小偷。但生性纯良的奥立弗却怎么也不肯就范。他们第一次带上他上街行窃，想拖他下水，用转移目标的办法使他被无辜扭送进警察局。幸运的遇到其父亲生前的好友布朗罗先生，将他救到了自己的家里。不幸的是他再次身陷贼窟后，在一次被逼的盗窃中身中一弹，挣扎在死亡线上。

有幸运的遇到露丝小姐和梅里夫人，他们以极大的爱心收留并求活了他。在康复后奥立弗遇同父异母的哥哥，可他哥哥想尽办法害他，想把他送上绞刑架，就可以独吞了遗产和发泄心头之愤的目的。露丝小姐知道后报告了布朗罗先生，让奥立弗终获澄清。奥立弗得到一笔遗产，被布朗罗认作义子，同那些正直、善良的人们居住在一起，过着幸福、自在的生活。

这本书描写和反映了善于恶、美于丑、正义于乖谬的斗争。赞扬了人们天性中的正直和善良，也揭露了当时英国一些慈善机构的虚伪。这看后即同情奥立弗的遭遇又为他最后过着幸福的生活而高兴。
