school. They can choose the special class as they go to college. But in the

western countries, the students need to take part in many special lessons to get

enough credits, since they are in middle school. Though some action has been

I like traveling very much. My trip to XiAn is really unforgettable. Before

I went there, I always wanted to see Bin Ma Yong, so I chose to go there.

I went to there by train with my parents and I had breakfast in the hotel.

Then we went there by bus. When I got off the bus, I was very excited. I saw a

lot of false man whose hand with all kinds of things.

I took many pictures. Finally we went back the hotel in the afternoon.

Though I was very tired, I felt very happy. I will never forget it for

ever.

My hometown is beautiful place It stands near a wide river at the foot of

low green hills. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. There are trees

and flowers everywhere.But it has not always been like that. In the old days, it was a sad dirty

little town. Landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses.For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old

buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. Nearly everyone was poor and many

had no work.Everything has changed since liberation. The people, led by the Party, have

got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up schools, theaters, shops and

flats. They have an assembly hall and a hospital.Along the river they have built offices, hotels and parks. A lot of

factories have sprung up. On the river, streamers and boats come and go busily,

Viewing vs.Reading

The pace of reading, clearly,depends entirely upon the reader. He may read

as slowly or as rapidly as he can or wishes to read. If he does not understand

something, he may stop and reread it, or go in search of elucidation before

continuing.

The reader can accelerate his pace when the material is easy or less

than interesting, and slow down when it is difficult or absorbing.

If what he

reads is moving, he can put down the book for a few moments and cope with his

emotions without fear of losing anything.

When cellphone became popular many years ago, parents and school at first

banned students to take cellphone into classroom, but now, even the small child

has owned a cellphone. The use of cellphone cant be banned. For students, they

get used to keeping cellphone at hand, but the overuse of it can be blamed to

their parents. Some parents dont set good examples for their children. When

they are together, they just leave cellphones to kids and let them kill the

time. If they show the beautiful scenery around and teach kids to appreciate the

world. Then cellphone wont take up their time.

My favorite sports is playing basketball. I liked playing basketball when I

was a child. I think playing basketball is a very interesting and healthy

sports. Usually, after class, I always go to play basketball with my friends.

Meanwhile, it is beneficial for our health to play basketball. Most importantly,

playing basketball can makes me become stronger. Besides, I can also get the

opportunity to comunicate with each other, which makes me get well along with my

classmates. In short, I can benefit a lot from palying baketball reasonably

every day.

How to Make Friends

It’s hard to makefriends if you stay alone all the time. It’s easier to

make friends whenyou have similar interests. Look at people in the eyes when you

talk to them. Don’t be afraid to show people whatyou are really good at. Talk

about the things you like and do best. Be a goodlistener. Let people talk about

themselves before talking about yourself. Be friendly to a lot of people. Try to

help your friends when they are in trouble because a friend in need is a

My father is a typical man, who is not very talkative. When other fathers

say how much they love their children, my father just keep quiet. He barely says

sweet words to me. But he will never miss every important moment for me, like

the performance in school. He is always one of the audience and watch my

performance. My father tells me to study with passion and he sets the good

example for me, because he loves his work. Sometimes he shows me his design of

work, and I admire him. I know my father loves me so much. Though he doesnt

talk much, he will be right by my side whenever I need him.

At my school, we had a charity sale last week

The charity sale was held on our school playground last Saturday morning.

We prepared many things which were made by hand in our spare time, such as

kites, model planes and so on. They looked very beautiful. We also brought old

toys and second-hand books to sell on the sale. At 8：30, the activity started.

Many students and teachers came to take part in it. Everyone chose their

favorite items and paid for them at a much lower price. In the end, the money we

made added up to over 2,000.

We sent the money to the community to help children who couldnt attend

school and the seniors who needed better care.

I had a wonderful experience. Im proud of what we have done. If everyone

makes a contribution to the charity, the world will become much better.

I think smiling is as important as sunshine. Smiling is like sunshine

because it can make people happy and have a good day. If you aren’t happy, you

can smile, and then you will feel happy. Someone may say, “But I don’t feel

happy.” Then I would say, “Please smile as you do when you are happy or play

In the past, the living conditions were very poor. There were not many

buses or cars, and the roads were narrow. Usually, a big family was crowded into

were simple and slow. People kept in touch with their friends and relatives far

away mainly by letter or telegram.

Thanks to the government, our hometown has developed rapidly in recent

years. The living conditions are much better and more comfortable. The roads are

Every time when I run in the playground, I always set a target for myself,

such as I need to finish 3000 meters. It is such a long distance, but if I set

the target of 500 meters and repeat the target, then I can finish my original

goal. It is the same way to realize our dreams. Though we are in middle school

now, we need to equip ourselves with knowledge. What we learn today will decide

what we will become tomorrow. The first goal for us is to enter a better high

school and then continue to fight for the college. But college is not the end to

fight, which is just the beginning. The way to realize our dreams is long.

What are friends? We often talk about the topic with others. I think

friends are those people who can help you when you are in trouble. Don’t forget

the saying, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” Friends can tell you your

mistakes, though what they say is hard for you to listen to. You can share your

happiness, trouble and worry with friends. Someone also says, “You can’t walk

any step without a friend.” So I think friends are very important to us. I would

Usually Saturday night is the time for students to get back to their desks

and do their weekend homework. Six school days are enough for the students who

have many other interests.

I think weekend homework should not be given. With homework arranged for

Saturday night and the whole of Sunday, when can he find time to help around the

house, play a game of football or see a good film, or just relax?

In fact weekend homework is usually put off until Sunday night. As a result

our homework is done very poorly and we achieve no results. If there were no

homework on weekends, students would go to school on Monday well rested, willing

Hello, my friends, My name is Cherie. I come from BeiHai, a city of GuangXi

province. Now I want to tell you something about me hometown. BeiHai is a

beautiful city near the sea. There are several places worth visiting.

The most famous place is the Silver Beach. You can take the no.2 bus and

take no.3bus to the Silver Beach. You can get off the bus at the Beach hotel

stop and set the luggage or have s rest at the hotel. Then go back the road

which the bus have come. The beach is not far from the hotel, you can’t miss it.

The seafood is very delicious, you can have some for supper after swimming. The

world under the sea is a fantasy place. When you go into it, you will feel that

you are really under the sea. There are so many kinds of fish swimming around

you.

The most exciting program is “dancing with the shark” .that is some girls

who dress as the fish dive into the water and play.

When asked about work preference, different people will give different

answers. Some people like working with people. However, others prefer jobs which

mainly involve objects or machines.

Those people who have the first preference believe working with people

usually makes one feel interesting and efficient. In addition, they maintain

people can be inspired to bring forward new ideas by communicating or consulting

with those around them. However, still others have different preferences. In

their opinions, working with objects or machines can make one enjoy more peace

and quiet. Besides, they argue, under such peaceful conditions, one can do more

More and more middle school students use WeChat. Different students have

different opinions about using it.

Some students think WeChat is a very useful tool. It can provide a platform

What a rude boy. He only thought about himself and ignored the rules. What he
