I feel it a great honor to have a chance to give a speech here, talking

about the haze weather, which causes lots of bad effects on our health and life.

We breathe polluted air, making us suffer from lung and liver diseases. Besides,

because of it, the flights have to be canceled. All kind of transports may run

into each other, resulting in much damages and lots of injuries.

As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we did something. As

individuals, we should ride the underground or buses instead of cars to reduce

carbon dioxide. As government, more measures should be taken by carrying out the

related law on pollution.

In summary, we’re all looking forward to breathe fresher air and live a

happier life. Everyone should be a part of this job.

Stepping into the new century, environment pollution has become more

serious than ever since. There are different kinds of pollution. Such as, water

pollution, air pollution and noise pollution and so on. It seems that we live on

a planet which is full of pollution. Where all these pollution comes from? To a

large extend, the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for

the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have

more fuel, people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for

energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street, the gas

stations are short of gasoline, even the government has raise the price so many

times in order to control the needs of gasoline, but it’s still not working.

Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance.

However, the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted

water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the

environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.

The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the

environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more

about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance

between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in

the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the

waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public

transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands

together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way, our earth

could be a better place to live in.

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world.

For example, cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and poisonous gas is given off by factories. Trees on the hills have been cut down and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers.Furthermore, wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. Pollution is, in fact, threatening our existence.

The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized these problems. Measures have been taken to cope with these problems by the government. Laws have been passed to stop pollution. I hope the problem will be solved in the near future and our home will become better and better.

Good environment can make people feel happy and fit . To improve the

environment means to improve our life.

We should plant more trees and flowers around us . We shouldn’t cut them

down . We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and

waste gas into the air.

Whenever we see litter on the ground , we should pick it up and throw it

into dusbins. Never spit in public. Don’t draw on public walls. It’s our duty to

protect the environment.

There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years.

One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and

soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water

causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced

with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot.

Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the

forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore,

governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection

today.

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more

concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of

environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be

made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people

means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the

environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know

that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

Many people are active in fighting against unfair treatment to colored

people, women , animals and so on. Right now I am talking about fighting for

respect to our environment.Though the environment doesnt have a mouth to

deprecate what humans have done to her, she retaliates through action. In the

early years the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees, at the source of the

yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods.

As a result, the Huangtu plateau which was once covered with grass and forests

was turned into barrens that supported fewer plants. Another example was in

several developed countries. Because many chemical factories discharged

poisonous gas without filtering it, cities were covered with so much poisonous

gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. What horrible

scene!What we are suffering is only a small part of what the nature once

suffered. If we dont take action to show respect to the environment.

Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are

relying. First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and

lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. Second voices should be made to

announce the public of the importance of protecting the environment. Third

enterprises should pay special attention to the effect they have on the

environment and work out solutions for the problems.

Only by changing the way we treat the environment can we get along well

with it. Only by saving the environment can we save ourselves.

With the improvement of our living standard, more and more people can

afford a car. As a result, our roads are more often than not crammed with cars.

However, with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars, the problem

of air pollution becomes even more serious. So nowadays we advocate to lead a

low-carbon life.

My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars.By

riding a bike, we can not only exercise our body but also protect our

environment. Why not have a try, my dear friends?

Christmas Day

Christmas Day is the biggest festival in the western countries.It is on

December 25, the birthday of Jesus Christ.Before the festival, every family will

buy a Christmas tree, and put it in the middle of the living-room. And their

houses look more soft and beautiful.

My father doesnt talk much. Though he is not funny, he loves me very much.

Last week, he travelled for business and when he came home, he took out a box

and brought me a nice present. I was so happy. He always remembered to bring me

some surprises. It was a special notebook and I could use it to write

diaries.

Last week, when I passed a clothes shop, I was attracted by the beautiful

dress, so I asked my mother to give me money to buy one. But she refused me and

said that I could collect some money by helping her to do little work. I agreed.

So I started to clean the house and the dishes. Sometimes washed my father’s

car. Finally I got enough money.

When I go to school, teachers always tell me that we should make used of

Timeand study hard. I dont put it in my heart. But when I realize my

Timeis the most valuable for people, because you can never own it again

after it goes. When I was little child, my parents always told me that I should

treasure my time. However, I seldom trusted in them because I thought that I

just a little kid and I have plenty of time. But after I went to middle school,

I changed my view. I spend all the day in school, having classes, and after

class, I have to spend some time in study. That is to say, I do not have much

time to play. Therefore, I realize that time is valuable and I should make a

good plan for my life, so that I can live a rich life.

Timeflies like an arrow before we realize it .It is known that nothing is

more precious than time. The good old proverb "time is money" reminds us that

time is valuable. When time goes by, it will never return. However, it is a pity

that some people dont make full use of their time .They spend a lot of time in

sleeping, chatting, playing computer games or other unmeaning matters. . They

dont realize that wasting time is actually equal to killing themselves. They

always regret not having made great achievements. One of the reasons may be they

do not make good use of time. Therefore, in order to be successful, they should

first get into the habit of being on time. It’s a sign of cherishing time. Dont

put off what can be done today until tomorrow. Being lazy will eventually lead

to failure. Dont wait, because you dont know how long it will take when you

put off your plan.

The more we are aware of the significance of this famous saying, the more

benefits we will get in study or job.

Today, when I look back on the last six years, I feelTimeis flying.

Suddenly I grow up and I will finish my primary school soon. I need to cherish

the time and do the meaningful things. I should study hard, so that I can have a

bright future. I don’t want to waste my time, or I will be regretful when I look

back at my childhood.

I always think there is not enoughTime. For example, I have just taken a

three-day holiday. But when I look back, I just feel that it’s only one day.

There goes a proverb, “Time is money”. Now I want to say, time is more precious

than money, because when money is spent, we can earn some more again. However,

when time is gone or lost, never will it return.

Time goes without being noticed. The time for our study and work is usually

limited. So I think we must make full use of our time. But it’s a pity that I am

always not aware of the importance of time until it’s too late.

So I think, I should get into the good habit of saving time because wasting

time is equal to wasting one’s life. Do not put off what can be done today till

tomorrow!

LostTimeis never found again. This is something which I learned very

clearly last semester. I spent so much time fooling around that my grades began

to suffer. I finally realized that something had to be done. It was time for a

change. Now I have a new plan for using my time wisely. I have set my alarm

clock ahead half an hour. This will give me a head start on the day. I have also

decided to keep a log of what I do and when I do it. Looking back on what I’ve

done will give me some ideas on how to reorganize my time.

我是一根树枝，这里有许许多多和我一样的兄弟姐妹们组成了一个大家庭树，我们生活在树林里，每天清晨，我们都会喝珍珠茶就是露珠啊。每天都忙着工作为人们制造氧气。大家都在一起幸福、快乐的生活着。

可是，有一天，这种幸福的生活被打破了人类来到了这里，他们用尖锐的利器把我们分离，然后，我就来到了一个被人类称为“工厂”的地方。这里还有很多和我一样的同类，他们来自世界各地。不知过了多久，一个巨大的铁“手”把我抓了起来，之后，我就失去了意识。

就这样，我就变成了一张白纸，在我的身上，被他们印上了两个大大的“环保”。

男孩的周围，有着许多废纸团。“别烦我!我在写老师布置的环保作文呢!自己玩去”

“哥哥哥哥，帮我叠吗!”

男孩的眼神瞥向了我，“哎，这纸上不就有作文吗!好妹妹，把纸给我吧”女孩将我递给了男孩。

可是，不过一会儿，我也成了那些废纸团之一。

男孩的妈妈进来了，“你瞧瞧你!就会乱扔垃圾!”于是，不过一会儿，我就和其他同胞们同垃圾一起，被烧掉了。

原本是妈妈计划好了这个寒假我们自驾去周边附近的城市去旅游，可是被我婉言拒绝了。因为我有自己的想法，那就是——为了节能减排，不去了!

今年的春节前夕，没有一丝的鞭炮声，没有一缕的火药味。与平常一样冷清，但这些，仍然遮掩不了浓浓的年味：公园里早早挂上了红红的灯笼，组成了“灯笼走廊”。小区里安装了上LED灯，组成一个个大红灯笼，星星灯……各家门上贴满了春联，这处处显示着新的一年将要来临了。

想到这，我又想起了以前。就拿去年来说吧。才进腊月二十鞭炮声就想起来了。当一挂鞭炮“噼里啪啦”一阵响后，我就看到一缕青色的烟雾渐渐飞向天空，渐渐消散。还有满地的碎红纸皮灰尘和火药的呛味。当时我认为很好玩，现在我才意识到这是一个重要环保的问题。再和现在相比，真是“此时无声胜有声”哪!

设想一下，如果每一户人家少燃放一挂鞭炮，那么今后我们可以多看到多少个蓝天呀!放爆竹确实是一个传统的民俗，但我们得对自己和后人健康着想呀!

有科学数据表明，一个吸烟者抽一根烟，五秒之后细微颗粒物指数便是四百五十七，已经爆表了;一分钟后是九百多;吸完烟后，一小时以后居然还是八十!一小根烟污染都会是这样，那别提比他大好几十倍的大挂鞭炮了!那空气里得有多少细微颗粒物啊!如果一小根烟都这样，那何况是一挂鞭炮呢?

少吸一根烟，对自己包括周围的人都有好处;少放一挂鞭炮，对自己，对大众都有好处。而切还能减少对空气的污染，还能避免每年因为鞭炮而带来的火灾与伤害!

今年春节前夕，我问妈妈：“妈妈，今年咱还放鞭炮吗?”“你说呢”“要我说就不放了。”“因为少放鞭炮不仅对空气有好处，减少危害，自己也省了不少钱。”

少放一点鞭炮，多一些蓝天;少吸一点烟，多一些健康;少开车就节能减排。保护环境，匹夫有责!那些人为的污染，能避免还是避免的为好。提倡环保，倡导美好的生活环境，督促人民大众为我们自己的生命呐喊，杜绝人为的污染!

俗话说得好，“纸包不住火”。如今已经科学家们打破了这个常识。今天，他们已经研究出了耐火纸，在酒精灯上也点不着。鞭炮这方面是关于环保的大问题，但我想，以现在的科技水平，那科学家为什么不能研制出一种即安全又环保鞭炮呢?

盼望着总有一天，伟大的科学家们会研制出一种特制鞭炮来，既不失去千年的民俗，又能拒绝放鞭炮带来的各种危害，且国家又不会有经济损失。到那时，大家彻底过个安全幸福的环保年!

可是这派生机勃勃的场景并没有维持多久，随后，发生了一件意想不到的事情。有几个不懂规矩的小孩子，把喝完的饮料瓶呀，吃完的薯片包装袋呀到处乱扔。先是一个，然后是两个，后来是三个，接着是四个……愈来愈多的孩子把垃圾扔在草坪上，真是太可气了!

我低声嚷嚷着：“难道他们连把垃圾扔到垃圾桶都不会吗?”不料，被妈妈听见了，她也不禁皱起了眉头，低语对我说：“你要提醒他们一下，告诉他们乱丢垃圾不仅会破坏环境，还会给环卫阿姨们增加负担。”我采纳了妈妈的建议，小跑到孩子们身边，礼貌地对他们说：“不要乱丢垃圾，要把垃圾扔进垃圾桶里哦!”可他们依然嬉皮笑脸，不以为然地跑开了。我只能尴尬地笑了笑，可心里却像油煎一样，看到公园被破坏成这样，心里实在不好受。

走进了后院，更是不忍直视，在垃圾的“衬托”下，迎春花显得一点生机都没有。妈妈走过来对我说：“为什么不自己捡垃圾呢!”我害羞地不敢说话，其实我是害怕别人笑话我。妈妈看穿了我的心思，笑着说：“我们一起捡吧!”于是，我和妈妈便从前院“开工”，把垃圾一个一个捡起来，后来好多人也加入了进来，前园不一会就恢复了原样，到后院时，那几个乱扔垃圾的小朋友也红着脸，帮着我们一起捡了起来。呼—终于捡完了，我松了一口气，虽然这次踏青很累，但我心里却感到十分自豪。

对啊!“保护环境，人人有责!”让我们从身边做起，争做环保小卫士吧!

晚上我梦见地球被厚厚的雾霾笼罩，地球上的植物都死了，动物们奄奄一息，人们带着防毒面具，很少外出。我邀请我最喜欢的大白来一起研究“大白一号”除霾机器，我们日思夜想，无数次实验，终于成功了!大白背上除霾机器，飞到空中，用巨大的吸筒把雾霾吸到除霾机器里，经过压缩、过滤、等各种复杂的操作，再通过排气管排放到空中，天空渐渐变蓝了，太阳公公的脸越来越清晰，人们摘掉防毒面具，发出了热烈的欢呼声，我和大白紧紧的拥抱!

但是，很快，天空又被雾霾笼罩，我和大白刚刚高兴起来的心情像被泼了一盆冷水一般，我们赶快查找原因，发现工厂的烟囱依然冒着黑烟，汽车在马路上排着队叫嚣着，工地上的尘土四处飞扬......大白又赶紧飞到空中除霾，天空又变蓝，但是很快又变灰色......

我焦急的喊叫起来：“别再毁坏我们的环境!”我被自己的喊声吵醒了，天亮了，我坐在床头看着窗外，原来这是一场梦，雾霾依旧在，我的心情无比郁闷，我把我的梦告诉妈妈，妈妈说，现在国家已经意识到了雾霾的危害，已经在研究治理雾霾的相关办法，相信天空变蓝指日可待了。

我梦想着科学家早日研究出比我和大白的“大白一号”除霾机器更有效的改善环境的办法，同时，也告诉人们绿色生产，少开一天车，控制污染，从我做起，为了我们自己，也为了我们地球的将来!

这就是我的环保梦!
