Usually we should read more books, and we must read good books, such as:

science fiction, composition, fairy tales, fables, myths and other useful.

that reading more is good for writing. When reading, you should accumulate some

good words and good sentences, and then copy them on your notebook. Learn more

同学们：

随着科技越来越强大，电子阅读和掌上阅读也更加普遍。这样的确能够大大减少纸质阅读所花的时间，但是在减少了时间的同时也提高了中小学生的近视率。为此，我觉得应多抽时间用来纸质阅读。请尽力做到以下几点：

1。不要花大量的时间电子阅读。

2。要常抽出一些空闲时间，比如：课间，早晨，晚上等来纸质阅读。

3。要有选择性的阅读，不要孬读，什么书拿到就看，尽量少看漫画，小说的没有营养的书。要读好书。

4。读书时也要像吃饭一样，慢慢品读。不要囫囵吞枣，一目十行。这样就不能够体会到书中所蕴含着的真正意义。

5。读书时，最好一只手捧着书，另一只手拿着笔。一边读书，一边做着笔记，把好词佳句圈画出来。

6。一本书读完可以与小伙伴们交换着读，阅读完可以交换自己从书中所体会到的心得，在快乐中学习到新知识。

7。也要多看一些对我们有意义的书，比如：《三国演义》，《红楼梦》，《西游记》，《水浒传》等书籍。

8。看完一本书可以写一篇读后感。然后再去读一次，对照读后感，看看有没有新的收获。一本书反复着读，每读完一遍，（如果你认真读了），一定会有新的发现。

莎士比亚曾经说过：“书是全世界最大的营养品。”

你们相信这个世界上，有时光机和任意门么？你们一定觉得没有吧，不，他其实就在我们的身边，他就是书籍。书籍能够带我们了解历史书籍，能够让我们看见各地的风土人情。让我们一起在书的海洋里遨游吧！

上课了，老师神秘地拿出了一本书，问我们：“书皮上有什么？”“小怪物！”

“小魔鬼！”

“小妖精！”同学们说什么的都有。

我不听他们说，我要用自己的火眼金睛观察。“是一个小魔怪。”我信心十足地说。不过，老师到底想干什么呢？难道是向我们推销书？不对，因为老师把书名遮住了。

到底要干什么嘛？我满怀期待。老师拿起书，揭开盖住书名的纸条，清了清嗓子说：“今天，我们全班同学要共读这本有趣的书。”

“耶！”全班同学发出欢呼。

老师翻开一页。“从前，有一个十分善良的小魔怪，但他从不吃人，他想上学，他的爸爸妈妈不同意。后来小魔怪说服爸爸妈妈去上学，晚上回来给爸爸妈妈吗讲了很多故事。特别是一本做饭的书，一家人读了以后，他们不再吃人，吃蛋糕和米饭了。小魔怪过生日时，他请了好多小朋友到他家里玩，当小朋友们到了门口，他才想起来爸爸妈妈会吃人的，可是那一天，爸爸妈妈和小朋友们都玩疯了，可开心了，而且决定以后再也不吃人了。

老师为什么要与我们共读这本书呢？我想，老师想让我们知识更丰富，而且明白阅读的作用。是什么让吃人的魔怪和人类成为好朋友？这就是阅读的力量！

这本书让我懂得阅读的重要，阅读是人和兽的区别。我明白了自己不读书是可怜的，今后一定要成为一个爱读书的孩子。

盼星星，盼月亮。盼来了少儿图书馆的讲座，讲座的题目叫：阅读与儿童发展。我又早早的来到了少儿图书馆，期待着主讲人——-王晓华教授的到来。

耐心地等了半小时，讲座终于开始了！王晓华老师先对我们介绍了几句阅读的名言：1、书籍是人类进步的阶梯；2、饭可以一日不吃，觉可以一日不睡，书不可以一日不读；3、阅读是孩子最珍贵的宝藏。

一定会有家长在心中产生疑惑：阅读为什么重要呢？我来告诉你吧！1、阅读能够促进儿童的语言发展；2、阅读促进儿童的脑的发育和思维发展。3、阅读促进社会认知发展……在我看来阅读不只有这几种好处呢！还可以学到一些从课本上学不到的知识呢！甚至还能提高我们的品德修养。

王老师还特别提出亲子阅读地重要性：（1）亲子阅读能够促进儿童终身发展，培养孩子的健康情感。（2）亲子阅读对儿童的语言能力、早期阅读能力和后期的学业成绩都有影响。（3）通过亲子阅读可以培养阅读兴趣、自信心、整体素质、此外也让孩子获得了与人沟通的一系列的经验。（4）丰富孩子的经验、增添生活的感受、培养积极稳定的性情、形成积极向上的人格。在亲子阅读中，儿童感受到更多的被重视、被关爱。（5）父母的榜样力量是创设家庭阅读环境的关键。”听王老师讲后，我就想等将来我有了孩子，一定给他读很多很多地故事书。嘘！这可是我的小秘密。

哎呀，一个多小时的讲座就这么快结束了，掌声回荡在大教室里……

书籍是盛开的花朵，芬芳四溢，绚丽多彩；书籍是优美的乐曲，音律和谐，宛转悠扬；书籍是流淌的江河，奔流不息，滚滚向前。而读书，就是面对现实微笑，就是用心灵之剪，在生活之路上裁出绿叶的枝头；读书，就是面对困惑或者黑暗时，灵魂深处燃起豆大却明亮且微笑的灯盏。

“书籍是人类进步的阶梯”——高尔基“书扰药可医愚也”——韩愈“书山有路勤为径，学海无涯苦作舟”——韩愈，这时名人眼里的书，而我认为，书是一对翅膀，助我穿梭知识天空；书是一条鱼尾，助我遨游书海；书还是一把金钥匙，帮你打开只是的宝库，寻求那意蕴悠长的宝藏。或许，你并不认为书的价值与意蕴，但是却是这个世界不可否认的。精神财富虽虚无缥缈却是人类社会推动器。这份财富，并非使人富有。使得人类社会出现许多破坏者，但终究会被文明人所折获。也许你现在不喜欢读书，正逍遥自在，总说以后努力，可这却会加大你失败的几率。而要知道，“这个世界，从不给一个失败者颁发奖牌”何况，“少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲”也许读书并不是你唯一的出路，但是它却是你最好的出路。当你疲惫的双腿横跨在成功与失败的门槛；当你淡淡的足迹踏过无人问津的驿站；当你的付出被化作午夜的风景；当你滴血的心开始陷入迷惘的浑渊。书能改变命运，能改写人生，能创造奇迹，让不可能的事情变成可能；书让世界充满希望，飞向梦想的天空。

春暖花会开！如果你经历过冬天，那么你就会有春色；如果你有着信念，那么春天一定不会遥远；如果你正在付出，那么总有一天你会拥有花开满园。等待就是浪费青春，还等待什么？从现在做起，做一个持之以恒的追梦者。因为，梦想需要坚持。

“英语说明文”，顾名思义，就是一种以“说明、解释”为主要表达方式的英语文体。它是对客观事物的性状、特点、功能和用途等等做科学解说的。它既不像故事那样重在情节的叙述和描写，也不像议论文那样，重在阐明主张和论点论据；更不像科幻作品那样富于想象和虚构夸张。说明文是通过解说事物、阐明事理，使人们增长知识和技能。说明文是高考英语阅读理解题中的重点内容之一。说明文具有与自己特点相适应的说明方法，因此说明文结构复杂，专业术语多，易于拉开考生分数档次，便于高校分层次选拔人才。然而对于考生来说说明文抽象度高，解题难度增大了。高考对说明文的考查多为科普知识，动植物特性、自然现象和新产品、新工艺介绍以及人文地理、风土人情等方面的说明文，文中解释性、定义性、说明性的句子居多。因此考生要掌握说明文的命题特点，叙述方式，以冷静的心态阅读原文，重点突破长句结构特点和逻辑关系，以便对其做出准确的语意理解。

一、说明文阅读理解的特征 一般说来，英语说明文与其它文体一样，文章所涉及的内容不外乎以下几个方面，即Who→What→When→Where→How→Why。

1. Who：问的是这篇文章的主体是谁？（即所要说明和描述的人或事物）

2. What：问的是主体做了什么事情？（即主体表现出的特性、功能和用途）

3. When和Where：是在何时何地发生的？（即何时何地所表现出的特性、功能和用途）

4. How：通过什么方式表现出来的？

5. Why：这种特性功能用途的原因是什么？

做说明文阅读阅读的时候，一定要记住上面的Wh-word。边阅读，边搜记，牢记要点，把握全文。

二．说明文阅读理解的类型 掌握说明文阅读理解题的类型对考生来说非常有必要。一般来说，高考对阅读理解的命题类型主要有以下几种：

1. 细节理解题

说明文中考查的细节理解题大致与记叙文相似。命题区域都有其共同点。⑴在列举处命题。如用First(1y)、Second(1y)、Third(1y)Finally、not only…but also、then、in addition等表示顺承关系的词语列举出事实。试题要求考生从列举出的内容中选出符合题干要求的答案项。⑵在例证处命题。句中常用由as、such as、for example、for instance等引导的短语或句子作为例证，这些例句或比喻就成为命题者设问的焦点。⑶在转折对比处命题。一般通过however、but、yet、in fact等词语来引导。对比用unlike、until、not so much…as等词语引导，命题者常对用来对比的双方属性进行考查。⑷在比较处命题。无端的比较、

相反的比较、偷换对象的比较，经常出现在干扰项中，考生要标记并且关注到原文中的比较，才能顺利地排除干扰。⑸在复杂句中命题。包括同位词、插入语、定语、从句、不定式等，命题者主要考查考生对句子之间的指代关系和语法关系。

细节类问题一般都能在原文中找到出处，只要仔细就可以在文中找到答案。但正确的选择项不可能与阅读材料的原文完全相同，而是用不同的语句成句型表达相同的意思。

2. 语义猜测题 说明文为了把自然规律，事物的性质等介绍清楚或把事理阐述明白，因此学术性强的生词较多，所以常进行生词词义判断题的考查。命题方式多以The underlined part “…” in Paragraph…refers to….或What does the underlined word mean?或What is the meaning of the underlined word?为设问方式。解题时考生应认真阅读原文，分析其对某些科学原理是如何定义、如何解释的，并以此为突破口抽象概括出生词词义。也可以通过上下文来猜测某个陌生词语的语意。或者找出某个词语在文章中的同义词。要注意破折号、同位语从句、定语从句、插入句等具有解释、说明作用的语言成分。说明文在阐述说明对象时易发生动作变换、人称转变的现象，这类题目常以 it，they，them 等代词为命题点，因此考生要根据上下文语境，认真阅读原文，分析动作转换背景，弄清动作不同执行者，以便准确判断代词的其实际指代对象。

3. 主旨理解题

说明文常用文章大意判断题考查考生对通篇文意的理解。即对文章的主题或中心意思的概括和归纳。主要考查考生对文章的整体理解能力。命题形式常以This passage mainly talks about ____.What is the main idea of the passage?为设问方式。这种试题多以This passage mainly talks about the major

surprising findings about….为回答方法。答题时首先阅读题干，掌握问题的类型，了解试题题干以及各个选项所包含的信息，然后有针对性地对文章进行扫读，对有关信息进行快速定位，再将相关信息进行整合、甄别、分析、对比，有根有据地排除干扰项，选出正确答案。

4. 判断推理题。

这种试题常以The passage is intended to...(2) The author suggests that...(3) The story implies that…(4) Which point of view may the author agree to?(5) From the passage we can conclude that...(6) The purpose of the passage is to...为设问方式。这种题型的答案在原文中不是直接就能找到的，它要求考生进行合理的推断。如因果关系，文中的某些用词、语气也往往具有隐含意义，考生要将这种含义读出来。说明文常出现图示判断题，这种试题可以事物之间正确的依赖关系为命题点，要求考生判断其正确的流程顺序相互关系等。考生一定要认真阅读原文，并对照原文介绍的情况，弄清图示的差异，根据题干需要最终做出正确判断。如：动物介绍性说明文常出现动物能力判断题，考查考生对特定动物所具有能力的判断。解题时考生应认真阅读原文对动物形态活动能力的判断，了解动物的生存环境和是否会使用工具，是否善于爬行、飞翔和游泳等。

观点态度题也是判断推理题考查的内容之一。说明文的对象为客观事实,但设题以议论的表达方式抒发对该说明对象的想法。如对某种新发明的赞赏,或对某个事物的批判。这类题目常见的题干表达方式有"What was the author?s attitude towards ...?" 等。
