When it comes to honesty, quite a lot of people believe it is essential to

a person’s character and success.

They base their idea on the following reasons: on one hand, successful

business owes much to mutual trust; on another hand, great people in history

such as Abraham Lincoln andGeorge Washington set us good examples of being

honest, they are great because they are honest.

Their reasons run as following: to begin with, cheating on exams is

becoming more and more popular; in addition, some singers and movie stars cheat

on taxes; last but not the least, if you are not careful enough, you’ll buy some

defective goods and fake products.

It is high time we emphasized and encouraged honesty. We can take effective

measures to restore it.

For example, kids should be taught to tell truth, strict rules and

regulations should be carried out to stop cheatings on exams and taxes, etc.

Recently, I have seen an impressive film—“Meet the Parents”, which is about

a woman Palm brought her boyfriend Greg to her parents’ home to spend holiday.

In the film, Greg was so dishonest to Palm’s parents that Palm’s father is

suspicious of his behavior and quality. As a result, Greg is obnoxious to all

and has to leave. As far as I am concerned, the consequence is heavily caused by

his dishonesty. If Greg could be real him all the time, he would get much

respect and appreciation and would not get much frustration. From the film, I

have learned that being honest was extremely important and necessary. In other

words, being honest is a basic principle for us to deal with others.

For one thing, we will not get others’ trust unless we are honest. If we

deceive others, we would get the same in return, and even no one would make

friends with us or even communicate with us. For another, we will get others’

respect and appreciation if telling the truth. Telling the truth and being

ourselves, we will get a healthy and peaceful surrounding to grow up better.

However, something strange happens in our society. There is a strange

phenomenon that honest people suffer but the dishonest benefit a lot. It made

some people have a suspicion that being honest is not so important.

But I still believe that these are just a few cases, since honesty is

deeply rooted in our minds and we still consider it as a basic principle in

social contacts.

My grandparents believed you were either honest or you werent. There was

no in between. They had a simple motto hanging on their living-room wall: "Life

is like a field of newly fallen snow; where I choose to walk every step will

show. "They didnt have to talk about it--they demonstratedthe motto by the way

they lived. They understood instinctively that integrity means having a personal

standard of morality and ethics that does not sell out to expediency and that is

not relative to the situation at hand. Integrity is an inner standard for

judging your behavior.Unfortunately, integrity is in short supply today--and

getting scarcer. But it is the real bottom line in every area of society.And it

is something we must demand of ourselves.

A good test for this value is to look at what I call the Integrity Trial,

which consists of three key principles: Stand firmly for your convictions in the

face of personal pressure.

When you know youre right, you cant back down. Always give others credit

that is rightfully theirs. Dont be afraid of those who might have a better idea

or who might even be smarter than you are. Be honest and open about who you

really are. People who lack genuine core values rely on external factors--their

looks or status---in order to feel good about themselves. Inevitably they will

do everything they can to preserve this facade,but they will do very little to

develop their inner value and personal growth.

So be yourself. Dont engage in a personal cover-up of areas that are

unpleasing in your life. When its tough, do it tough. In other words, face

reality and be adult in your responses to lifes challenges.

Self-respect and a clear conscience are powerful components of integrity

and are the basis for enriching your relationships with others.

Integrity means you do what you do because its right and not just

fashionable or politically correct. A life of principle, of not succumbing to

the seductive sirens of an easy morality,will always win the day. My

grandparents taught me that.

As the economy is developing so rapidly, people’s attitude towards life is changing at the same time. Credit cards are becoming more and more popular. but what advantages and disadvantages do they have?

Firstly, it is quite convenient ant safe for us to use a credit card. Cash-stolen does not exist in this way. People now take a card instead of a heavy purse wherever they go. Secondly, credit cards represent great honour. People using credit cards shows his special identity and draw others attention.

On the other hand, credit cards are not always that good. Credit cards can lead to overspending somehow. People pay more than they have and then get busy paying off. Furthermore the credit card cheating happens more often.

In my opinion, credit cards do good in our life. But we should use them carefully. Only when used credit cards properly can make contribution to a more convenient and safer life.

I have a big family, there are seven people in my family, my mon, dad, two grandpas, two grandmas and me. My dad is soldier, he works in police station. My mom works in the bank, she is an accountant. They both are very busy in working, I can only play with them in the weekend. My grandpas and grandmas dont work for company, but they are volunteers and often take me to do the voluntary labor.

I am in Grade three in Yuanling elementary school, my mom always tells me I am a good girl and should study hard and get along well with all my classmates.

In the weekend or holiday, my family often go out for travelling or other things, I feel very happy with all the members and love them very much.

People always attach the importance to the promise, they hate people who

break their promise. I remember once a time, my friend asked me to go to see the

movie with her, I said yes without hesitation. But on that day, I forgot about

the date, I just woke up late and then played computer games in my bedroom. My

friends called me, she asked why did I disappear, I said I was sleeping at home,

she became very angry, until then did I think about our date. I felt so sorry, I

break my promise for the first time, I realize I did the very bad thing. Even

though I apologized for many times, my friend was still angry with me. I learn

the lesson, promise is very important, we must keep it, other people will see

through our personality to decide what kind of person we are.

Once upon a time, I did not pay for my bill when I bought a pen, because

the boss forgot to charge me, so I pretended to not realize it and just walk

away with the pen. Many years passed, every time when I think of it, I will be

ashamed of myself, I lost the important thing once, but I will not lose it

again.

The merit of honesty occupies great importance today. In the old time,

without the camera’s supervisor, people kept their honesty according to their

self-consciousness. It seems that if they are not honest, they would not get any

punishment. But today, as the technology develops, people are supervised by the

high-technologies all the time, once they are caught cheating, their files will

have the spot, which affect their career badly.

We are living in the modern life, we need to self-behaved, what we do is

under the invisible cameras’ watching. Even we make the small mistake, we will

be recorded without noticed. What we do decides what kind of person we are, so

let’s be an honest person all the time.

A boy went to a shop and bought a pencil and other things. When he was

going to pay the bill, he took out his wallet and found he had not enough money

to pay. He felt awkward. At that moment, an old man who was in charge of the

shop smiled and said to the boy that he could give the rest of the money next

time. The boy was so shocked, as the old man trusted him so much. When the boy

went home, he remembered it all the time. So the next morning, when he passed

the shop, he gave the money without hesitation. Integrity is priceless and

decides who we are.

Today, with the development of Internet, many traditional ways of life have

been changed, especially the way to pay for purchase. The record of credit

occupies important role for everybody, and they need good credit to get loan, so

as to start their business or buy a house. We have come to the age of

credit.

There is a very classic example about the importance of credit. A Chinese

man took the train in Europe. He found no one checked the ticket, so he just

skipped the ticket. He thought he had saved the little money, but when he came

to the bank and wanted to get the loan, he got rejected, because his record of

credit showed he had skipped the ticket, which made him the unreliable man.

The record of credit is the main basis when people asked for loan. The

banks consider the account of money they would borrow according to the credit,

or the departments will check a person’s credit to see if they want to hire him.

The age of credit asks for us to behave ourselves well, or we will live the

tough life.

The end of the term is coming soon. All the students are preparing for the

final exam. Some students want to get the high mark by playing some tricks.

There is no meaning to do this. Honesty is very important, because it decides

what kind of person we will be. So we should behave ourselves well and our

parents will be proud of us.

20xx年中考就要来临。中考是检验同学们学习成果、展示青春风采的最好机会，也是展现浦江三中优良校风和学风的重要窗口关于诚信考试倡议书关于诚信考试倡议书。为加强诚信考试宣传教育，积极引导同学树立正确的价值观和人生观，树立诚信考试光荣、考试舞弊可耻的观念，学校号召20xx届参加中考的606名同学在中考中自觉遵守考场纪律，坚决杜绝各种考试舞弊行为。倡议如下：

1.行百里者半九十，中考复习备考已处于冲刺时刻。努力复习，全力以赴，做好充分准备，以饱满的热情和充分的信心迎接中考。

2.牢固树立“以诚信考试为荣，以违纪作弊为耻”的观念。排除思想杂念，聚精会神，在中考考场上充分发挥自己的学习水平。

3.严守纪律，诚信考试。严于自律，互相督促，严格遵守考试纪律，自觉抵制作弊行为，守住内心的一份坚持，交出一份合格的答卷关于诚信考试倡议书默认。

考试——是每一位同学都要经历的，因为它是检验我们学习成果的途径之一。

可是，在考场上我却目睹了这样一幕。一位同学，他左手托着自己的下巴，故作镇定，右手却拿着笔烦躁不安地转着，身体一动不动地坐着，眼睛时不时地转着，左顾右盼。突然，他好像发现了什么，嘴角微微上扬，盯住了右边同学的试卷。只见，他的身子向右侧移动，小心翼翼，动作十分微小，手中转动的笔停了下来，生怕引起周围人的注意。他的眼珠完全向右，从正面看，恐怕看到的只有眼白，好像得到什么讯息般，猛地回到自己的地方，笔写得飞快，嘴角又露出了笑容。

世上没有什么轻松能完成的大事件，人间正道是沧桑。春天播种，夏天耕耘，秋天才会有收获，这是千古不变的真理。通过这种方法取得理想的分数，意义何在？我们不能因为考试而考试，而是要为了自己的人生，为了自己奋斗的目标，一直冲！只有掌握了正确方法的人，在成长道路上才会走得更快，更顺，更远。同样，付出智慧与汗水是必不可少的。

今天，我生病了，不能去上学，刚好今天语文考试，我就对妈妈说：“妈妈，你把我的考卷拿回来吧，我在家里自己考试。”这是我第一次自己在家考试。

妈妈从学校给我拿回了卷子，还告诉我考试时间是80分钟。妈妈一说完，我就立刻跑过准备写：“妈妈，我开始写了啊，你去看着时间。”

我写着写着，呀，第五道题的2、4小题不会，我左思右想就是想不出来。查书？不行！这是诚信考试。问妈妈？不行！问她也不告诉我。所以我只好跳过去接着往下做，等我做完了又返回来想这两道题。

我又想啊想，在“没有趣味，缺少情趣。”的括号里填上了“闷闷不乐”这个词，可是，“不经过思考就做出反应。形容说话做事迅速。”这句话还不会填，只好填了个“四话不说”。

就这样，我的卷子写完了，正面的题我自己对着书改了改，反面的阅读题留着让老师改。当我改到两道错题时，实在不忍心在卷子上打错号，就拿起红笔闭着眼扣了两分。现在我是98分，不知道老师在阅读题上扣几分。我的心“扑通、扑通”的在跳，好像有只小鹿在不停的撞，一不小心就会跳出来似的。

俗话说的好“一个人只要活得诚实，有信用，就等于有了一大笔财富。”虽然我不知道我的考试分数是多少，但是妈妈在我的考卷上写了考试时间1个小时，诚信100分这一行字，这就是我最好的.成绩！

“下午第一节课全年级英语抽测！”一大早，英语老师就来到教室告诉了我们这个重大消息。

“啊，又来考啊！”我们班马上就沸腾了，突击检查是老师的常用伎俩，但这么大的考试还是第一次。俗话说得好，“考考考，老师的法宝；分分分，学生的命根。”我们怎能不紧张呢？所以只好抓紧时间复习。由于是教育局抽测，所以肯定会很难。

眨眼间就到了下午，抽测开始了。果不其然，题目难得不得了，光是听力，就有了三道题不确定。第一大题的第4小题，我本来选的是“A”live，可是一会儿后，我觉得不对，便改成了“C”like。还有一道题是“foot”和“food”，我最后选择了“A”foot。还有别的题……天啊，这也太难了！此时的我，只好蒙几题了。唉，这题到底是什么答案呀？我怎么感觉不对呢？到了后面，题目简单了一点，我就披荆斩棘写完了试卷。抽测结束，试卷被收了上去，我心中仿佛有十块大石头悬在上空。

第二天，成绩下来了。我考了99分，错的那一分就是那道改过的听力题，答案是A，而我居然把对的A改成了C，就这样与满分擦肩而过了。但幸运的是，英语我还是再次考了全年级第一。我心头的那块大石头终于落地了。

虽然这次英语考试很突然，我也取得了不错的成绩。但我真的不喜欢这样的抽测啊！

考试，一般指语文考试、数学考试或英语考试。但有些考试是指做人的考试。我就遇到过很多做人的考试，这不，我又碰上了。

那是一个星期六的晚上，我去小卖部买东西，我买了一样七元钱东西，给了人家一张二十元的。人家找了零钱给我，我也没数，就回家了。

回到家的时候，我突然想起来数一数钱。因为妈妈说过，买完东西，人家找了钱后要数一数，万一找少了呢？于是，我拿出钱来数了数，我发现，人家应该找我十三元，可是多找了五元，从十三元变成了十八元。当时，我就想要不要把那五元钱还给人家呢，还是自己留着用？我做着激烈的思想斗争，不就五元钱吗，又不是多大的数目，留下吧。可我心里总是不安宁，始终觉得不该这样做。我心里似乎有小天使和小恶魔在争吵，小天使说：“毛彦杰，你必须把那五元钱还给人家，你忘记妈妈说过做人要诚实吗？”小恶魔又说：“你不能还，反正别人有不知道，还不如把这五元钱当零花钱用掉。”为了五元钱，就丢弃了做人的诚信，还让自己这么不安，太不值得了，我决定还是还给人家。

第二天，我去小卖部把钱还给了人家。这下，我心里的这块石头也终于落地了。

这次考试终于以我的通过而结束了。

一说到考试，绝大多数学生都会紧张到疯。因为有时候，考试不仅仅局限于对书本知识的考查，更延伸到生活的方方面面，可以说人生无处不考试啊。一次考试可以改变一个人的一生，可以决定一个人是上“天堂”还是下“地狱”。这不，我也经历了一次生活中的小小的考试。

三年级的一天，老师下课后叫我帮她把磁铁收进包里。我看着那绿色的磁铁简直爱不释手。它浑身闪闪发光，外表是好看的荧光绿，里面是星星点点的荧光粉。这块磁铁的形状是星形的，而我就是一枚星形控，凡是什么东西我都喜欢星形的。这时候一缕阳光照到磁铁上，它发出了一种令人心动的光芒，一下子就让我有了把它据为己有的想法。我心想反正就是撒个谎的事，丢失一块磁铁老师也不会怎么查。我就偷偷地拿走，等老师问的时候，我就说不知道就得了。于是，我便这样做了。

回家的路上，我又有些不安了，一直纠结是要把磁铁还给老师呢，还是自己留着呢。这时，我左边仿佛出现了一个恶天使，右边好像也出现了一个善天使。恶天使说：“你那么喜欢那个磁铁就留着吧！”善天使说：“你爸爸教育你做人要诚实，你今天欺骗了老师，你就是不诚实。”恶天使说：“诚实是大人的事，你现在还小，以后再改也不迟啊！”善天使又说：“诚实要从现在做起，一个人的诚实比一个人的成就更加重要。这可是你爸爸说的，他还说不希望你是个很乖的孩子，却希望你是一个诚实的孩子！你难道忘记了吗？”对啊，我心想，我这样做会辜负了爸爸的信任。

或许是我心中的光明战胜了黑暗，恶天使消失了。善天使又对我说：“你主动向老师认错，虽然你做错了，但只要及时改正就是好孩子。”于是我下定了决心，还回去。第二天，我主动向老师承认错误，交还了磁铁。老师不仅没有责备我，还夸奖我是个诚实的孩子。

通过了诚信的考试，我轻松多了，感觉所有沉重的负担都消失了，仿佛从矛盾纠结的地狱回到了轻松坦荡的天堂。

当今天剑桥英语考试的铃声响起时，我感觉全身都已经不是自己的了，像是换了一个人的身体一样。我的手不停的颤抖着，笔尖也在颤抖，在桌子上不断地留下来回摩擦的声音。为什么我对英语考试这么害怕呢？因为我妈妈给我要求的是必须认真对待，争取考到100分。但是我对自己很没有“信心”，所以心里十分的担心。一直想着该怎么答题？要怎么才答得好，考到一。百分。就在这时考试的铃声响起了，我之前在脑袋里记到的知识，突然间一下子就飞走了。当我正在想怎么才能将那些知识找回来的时候？老师开始念听力了，我十分无奈的跟着老师的思路走，生怕有半点遗漏。

过了一会儿，老师终于把听力讲完了，我感觉浑身都松了一口气儿，但这还没完，老师紧接着说：“同学们，这次考试要认真对待，今天的题很难一定要认真考试哦。”老师不说这句话还好，但老师一说，我就感觉浑身都不自在了，感觉就像望子成龙的那些妈妈一直逼迫孩子学习，在我的心里，老师分明是在说一定要考好，不准考差。

我吓的浑身哆嗦，开始回忆我以前学过的知识，但是墙上那钟表的嘀嗒声一直在困扰着我，我想起了这个，又因为滴答声，忘了那个，一直这样重复了几次。我有点不耐烦了，我心想算了吧？直接做吧！至少比干坐在这里，思考我以前学过的知识要好吧！我拿起了笔开始面对试卷，但是看到第一道题我就傻眼了，这道题要用原形和Ing进行式加到语句上面，但是在这道题目上，老师根本就没讲这种情况，这可怎么办呢？我无可奈何，只好拿出我的点兵点将大法，但是可惜这是道填空题我没能用上我的点兵点将大法，这使我脑袋都大了一号，没办法，我只好垂头丧气地往后做，可是越往后做我的心情就越烦躁，心情也就越忐忑，有很多题，明明在上课的时候，我都听到过，但是我就是一时想不起来了。

我心想算了吧，随便猜个答案都填上去吧！我真要这么做的时候，我却看到桌子上，不知谁用钢笔在上面刻了一句话，人可以被毁灭，但不能被打败，这一句话，可能是谁在上课的时候无聊随便刻的，但是他却成为了我这次考试的救命稻草，我转念一想，是啊，我不能被打败，我必须冷静下来尽自己的最大努力做下去，就这样时间又嘀嗒嘀嗒的过去了。不一会儿时间就到了，我垂头丧气的准备走上去交上试卷，但是我又想起了刚才可在桌子上那句话，就算我做的不好，我也要做出，我好像做得很好的样子，于是我马上抬头挺胸，挺着腰板走了上去。放学时我看到老师改完试卷才走，唉，才考了96分。

后来我把这件事情告诉了妈妈，本以为妈妈会大吵我一顿，但是她却夸奖我在关键的时刻没有放弃这一项做的很好。暂时一两次考试不好没什么关系，但是必须要在你受挫折的时候，坚强起来！坚持起来！那才是你该做的！

今天是一个大热天，也是我英语培训班的最后一天，今天我们要进行一场关于音标的最终考试。

奶奶带着我向学校走去，地上很烫，还冒着热气。可一到教室，一瞬间就凉快了许多。我找了一个坐位坐了下来，整理好东西，上交作业，开始复习。所谓复习其实就是想到啥看啥，只不过是把书摊在桌上，然后翻过来覆过去，如同看杂志一样随意。

马上上课了，也就代表考试开始了。第一题，听写48个国际音标，可以说是最难的一题，不仅要按照顺序来写，还要写正确，而且分类也要正确，更何况好多音标的发音，乍一听就像是一样。不过“好心”的老师，给了我们再听一遍这48个音标的机会，我也总算写出了这些音标。

但好戏还在后头呢，可谓关键“人物”总是最后关头才出场，这可不是关键人物吗？给我们扣分的关键人物啊。第二题是看单词写音标，还是有些难度的，主要还是因为掌握得还不够稳固。

“还有15分钟。”老师说道。大家一听，啥？只剩15分钟啦。我赶忙奋笔疾书，把没做完的题赶紧做完。没多久，老师便说：“考试结束，所有人把卷子交上来。”大家又是开心又是着急，开心是因为考完试老师答应我们看一会儿电视，着急是一些没做完的人估计分数就不怎么好看了。

我们在教室里边看电视边等老师，过了大约半个多小时，老师总算把试卷批好了。她走进教室，将试卷发给我们，许多同学都不敢相信这是自己做出来的试卷，而我也只得了86。5分，可我没有想到的是，我竟然是全班第一。哎！我真想不通这么低的分数，居然能得全班第一。没啥好得意的，还得多花时间学音标。

从小到大，我经历了许多第一次，如第一次独自睡觉、第一次独自回家、第一次煮饭、第一次上学………但记忆中最深刻的是——第一次英语等级考试。

那是一个阳光明媚的早晨，我和妈妈一起来到哈佛园教育参加四级英语等级考试，来到考场外，我紧张地对妈妈说：“妈妈，我太紧张了，都不记得复习的单词了！”妈妈说：“不用紧张。”

话音刚落，监考老师说：“下一位，叫到了我的名字”，我没有办法只好走进了考场，这时，另一位老师把考试的题目给我看了一下，题目是自我介绍，真是太好了，是老师之前给我们讲过的，我就不再有那么的紧张啦！终于上战场啦，首先，我用流利的英语和外国人对话，然后把自己介绍了一遍，老师们听了以后都对我感叹不已，我神气十足地走出考场，妈妈走过来说：“怎么样，我微微一下，没问题”。

“叮铃铃”，上课铃声响了，我又要迎接我的笔试考试，紧张的气氛又开始了，老师开始发卷子，我认认真真的写着每一道题的答案，没有一点疏忽，不知不觉该交卷子了，我依依不舍地把卷子交给了老师，过了几天，老师告诉我，我的英语等级考试通过了，我激动地跳了起来。

第一次的英语等级考试，我明白了，只有靠自己的啄破硬壳才能活的道理，我懂得了在人生的道路上，什么事情只要自己努力了，认真的做了，都会有好的收获！

“终于到期末考试了，以后就不用上英语课了！”一大早，同学们就商量着考完试后做什么事情。“英语老师来啦！快快快！”不知何人大声喊叫，同学们听到后，就开始乱读，读什么的都有：teacher、singer、bybike…我终于知道到应有尽有的意思了。

监考老师刘老师来了，刚到就说了句：“人，要做君子。”同桌轻轻地嘀咕里一句：君子迟早会在战场上阵亡的，我不要做君子。对于同桌的这句话，我真的是无可奈何。我开始审题了，一题一题都看的十分仔细，听力部分的时候，讲台桌里的音箱发出低沉的声音，震得地板都在颤抖着，我也迷迷糊糊的，听不清它说的是什么单词，非得把耳朵往前，仔细听这才听得清楚。听力部分终于熬过去了，到笔试部分了，我开始奋笔勤书，一个单词都不丢下的看过去，终于写完了。我开始检查了，发现错误很少，几乎没有错误，这才放心的等待着交卷。

收卷以后，同学说这张试卷中有陷阱，我在人群中挤了又挤，终于听清楚了，有一道题是阅读短文中没有的，应该选择：Sorry，Idoutnow。完了，我中计了，怎么期末考试还有陷阱的，两分就这么没了。

监考老师刚走，科学老师就来了，这考试真得小心点，千万别掉陷阱里了。
