Round the common we went, to the Mole Trap, an erstwhile rough old country pub now tarted up for the motorists. I don’t go in there any more, so we sat on the adjacent public seat for a while and a short natter.

Time enough to break away, Tom to his lunch appointment, me for home by way of theYellow Crane Tower and Changjiang Bridge. See you in a while, crocodile! I arrived home about 2 o’clock. Just in time for my own Sunday lunch .

这是一种现实，而且非常现实的问题!强烈的阅读反差，反映了什么问题?我们到底需要什么方式的阅读，是传统阅读，还是网络阅读?国民会异口同声地说，传统阅读或网络阅读吗?不会，绝对不会。我认为，不管是哪种阅读，都有其存在的理由，但对于新生事物——网络阅读，我感觉——网络阅读，想说爱你不容易。

传统阅读的优势仍在。这是一种事实。针对我国国民读书率持续走低的现象，记得一位教授曾经说，在他看来，传统阅读更利于人们的抽象思维，而且虽然现在有的图书比较娱乐化，但那绝不是图书的本质，图书的本质还是要体现出内容的深刻和文化积累。而这一点，对于提高国民素质是非常重要的。由此，我认为，传统阅读包含一种极具创造的想象力，是网络阅读所不及的。如果传统阅读消亡，人类的很多想象能力也会消失。现在，我们上课，大多老师都喜欢用课件，课件画面的精彩，画面的直观，的确给我们带来了美的享受，但这种享受如昙花一现，当我们走进文本，重新阅读教材文章时，脑子里竟是那一张张让人眼花缭乱的画面，文字失去了魅力，文学失去了根基。对比中，传统阅读，魅力犹在!

网络阅读的缺陷已经显现。传统阅读的内容是有文字的书籍，网络阅读的内容是有文字的网页。它们的阅读内容虽然都是有文字的载体，但是在阅读取舍上有着一定的差别。虽然我们不能保证传统阅读内容都是精华，但网络的精华内容要比传统阅读少得多。现在，网络出版业相当发达，冲击人们的阅读方向，网络是一把双刃剑，在自己发展的同时，也造成了大量的“黑色污染”、“黄色污染”、“灰色污染”。一些人沉迷于虚幻的网络世界里不能自拔，而深受其害。现今，大量事实已经证明，要正视网络的存在，尤其是网络阅读的存在，应该客观全面地看待网络阅读的兴起，要在网络阅读和传统阅读之间正确取舍，使之达到一种共生共荣的局面。
