春节也叫做“年”，有关年的由来，民间流传着这样一个传说：古时，有个叫“年”的怪物，经常骚乱百姓，杀人放火，无恶不作。最终，有人发现“年”怕响声、红色、火。最后“年”被杀死。于是，便在“年”被杀死的这一天举行各种各样盛大的庆祝活动，而且燃放鞭炮，张贴门神对联以驱赶邪恶，并逐渐形成一种习惯，流传下来，此后，人类便有了“过年”之说。

有关春节的传统文化也有很多。在春节这天，家家户户走门串巷，春节拜年时，长辈要将事先准备好的压岁钱给晚辈，据说压岁钱可以压住邪祟，因为“岁”与“祟”谐音，晚辈得到压岁钱就可以平平安安度过一岁。现在长辈为晚辈准备压岁钱的习俗仍然盛行，压岁钱的数量从几十到几百不等，这些压岁钱被孩子们用来购买图书和学习用品，新的时尚为压岁钱赋予了新的内容。

过春节，家家户户的门上都要贴春联，祈求这一年平平安安。春联也叫“门对”、“春联”、“对子”，它以工整、对偶、简洁、精巧文字描绘时代背景，抒发美好愿望，是我国特有的文字形式。每逢春节，无论是城市还是农村，家家户户都要精选一幅大红春联贴于门上，为节日增加喜庆气氛。

关于春节的传统文化太多了，一时间也说不完，等下次再聊吧。

我国有许多的传统节日，比如重阳节，端午节，中秋节等，但我却对春节情有独钟。

春节要挂灯笼。

过春节还要包饺子，那饺子馅可好吃了。关于饺子也有一个传说：从前，有一个叫张仲景的人，他在江西当官，有一天，他返回家乡去看望亲人，却发现 他们倒地不起，耳朵冻伤了，当时很冷，也有人被冻死了。张仲景在当地搭建了一间房子，放上一口大锅，用羊肉，辣椒和药品在里面烧，且把面皮包成耳朵形状给村民。村民一直吃到除夕，耳朵不冻了，病也好了。所以，过春节没有饺子是万万不可以的。
