春节前，家家户户都要把房子打扫得干干净净，打扮得漂漂亮亮，妈妈们还要买福，有的把福正的贴在门上，有的把福倒的贴在门上，还有的歪的贴在门上。表示人们希望来年幸福，身体健康。婆婆还要买很多很多好吃的东西，房子里的年货堆得象山一样高。

这快乐的节日，给我们带来了一种喜气洋洋的感受。

In china if you invite people for meal, the person who invited other people would pay for the meal but it’s not the way in Western country. In western country people will think you only invited me but it’s not your responsibility to pay for me.

I can afford it. They won’t be happy if you pay for them. People in China would always put dishes into customer’s plate to show their hospitality, but they will think it’s not healthy because your chopsticks have been used by you. In western country like America not England, people will always give tips to waiter after they finished meal in a restaurant.

If you don’t they will not be happy because tips are one of their major income. In china this only happen in some top restaurants and hotels in large international cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Western people will also think you are rude if you make sound during the meal. Western people do not hold their bowl up even when they have a bowl of soup.

今天是一年一度的端午节，爸爸带我到珍珠泉去看划竹排比赛。中午吃过饭，爸爸骑着电瓶车带着我出发了。路上，爸爸给我讲端午节和屈原的故事，当爸爸讲到屈原投江的时候，我心中不由自得对这位伟大的诗人感到肃然起敬。故事讲完了，我们也到达了目的地——珍珠泉。一进公园大门，宽大的湖面上游动着许多竹排，竹排上的人奋力地划着浆，大家你追我赶，争先恐后，有的还用水枪相互对射，他们身上个个湿淋淋，人人的脸上笑开了花。岸上的观众欢呼一浪高过一浪，都希望自己的心中的竹排能得冠军。

看过划竹排比赛，爸爸又让我去玩碰碰车。我坐上碰碰车，用脚一踩开关，碰碰车启动了。我开着碰碰车，一下子左转弯，一下子右转弯，一下子我碰你，一下子你碰我，真好玩。后来，爸爸还让我玩小蹦极，开始我心里很害怕，只敢像蜻蜓点水那样轻轻点地，蹦也蹦不高。这时，我看到旁边一个比我还小的小朋友，动作熟练，蹦得很高。我想，我不能比小朋友还不如吧！在爸爸的鼓励下，我的胆子越来越大，蹦得也越来越高，还引来了阵阵的掌声。

最后，我玩累了，就和爸爸一起找个阴凉的地方，下起了国际象棋。听爸爸说，珍珠泉每年都要举行国际象棋比赛呢！我以后一定要好好学习棋艺，长大了也要参加国际象棋比赛。端午节多快乐啊！

We will look at some of the legends behind Chinese new year and how to celebrate it. Here in the US and Chinese across the world.

The Chinese have specific way to celebrate their new year. If you walk down the street in Chinatown during Chinese New Year, you see a variety of ancient traditions such as red banners, firecrackers and lion dance performances, streets are filled with lively celebration.

However, legend has said that the new year has not always been a time of festivity. An Asian Chinese story told a chilly start to this festive holiday, it begins with an ancient Chinese beast called Nian.

Every New Year Nian would rise from swelling in the sea to ravage Chinese village in livestock and hurting people. The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

So this story leads to the creation of many of other traditions for celebrating Chinese New Year. lets take a look at some of these traditions.

Spring Festival is the most solemn festival, spent the day the Chinese people rejoice together, although custom is different, but the joy is still rippling in everyones heart. 在大年三十的那天，晚上12点我和爸爸拿着打火机从良房里拿出我们买的鞭炮先来到院子里，爸爸把鞭炮拉开像一个蛇形，正当爸爸要点燃的时候我跑过来对爸爸说;‘我来放吧’。小孩子不能放。因为想起爸爸怎么答应的，爸爸给我造了一个木棍子把烟头夹在棍子上，我轻轻走到鞭炮千把棍子响鞭炮一点一点的靠近，忽然我的手不知什么时候颤动了一下烟头碰到了鞭炮，我想一定要爆炸了于是我撒腿就跑看到鞭炮没有向进过一次又一次的努力，鞭炮终于响了，顿时四面八方的鞭炮同时响起这声音震耳欲聋，我知道为什么春节时人们都要放鞭炮了，这种热闹一种喜庆和幸福。

正月初一，又是一个快乐的曰子。

以往我都是起得最晚的人，可今天我争了个第一，因为极想闻闻那香气扑鼻的爆竹烟味儿。一串串鞭炮在人们手中点燃，声音真大，四处飞溅，仿佛要把每一个祝福送到千家万户，一阵阵爆竹声接连不断，噼里啪啦的，热闹非凡。

在鞭炮声过后，就没有什么好玩的了。还是吃早餐吧，待会儿出去玩一玩!

吃过饭后，我邀几个朋友一起去玩，在街上点燃的爆竹在地上开出了美丽的花，漂亮极了，袋里装着父母给的零花钱，甭提多高兴了。今天的小鸟也出来凑热闹，大概它们心里也很高兴吧。

街上不愧是街上，玩的吃的样样俱全。看到的大多数是一些小孩，我瞧了瞧，就数麻辣摊的生意：

“我要一串年糕!”一个胖孩子叫道。

再去别的地方瞧瞧如何?在一家文具店摊前，我又停下了脚步。那里有各种玩的东西：飞机模型、望远镜、电动汽车……尽是一些玩的东西。我发现欢迎的是那些玩的东西。

在其它地方，我还看见有的在卖气球、手枪、跳绳，有的在卖小吃、点心、水果，穿的用的吃的样样俱全，真是无奇不有。

玩了一上午，下午我又要去走亲访友拜新年了，这无疑也是一件高兴的事。

今天真是玩得太痛快了!算是一饱眼福二饱口福三饱手福了。最为幸运的是那些卖主了，今天可是生意兴隆啰!

真心希望今天全国的小朋友在新的一年里快快乐乐，没有烦恼，但千万不要“玩物丧志”哟!

我喜欢端午节，因为可以看到精彩的赛龙舟;我喜欢元宵节，因为可以吃到鲜美的肉汤圆;我喜欢中秋节，因为可以和爸爸、妈妈坐在阳台上一边吃月饼一边欣赏又圆又亮的月亮……但要问我究竟最喜欢哪一个传统节日，那还是非春节莫属。

今年春节我是在乡下过的，可有趣了大年初一，我和哥哥、姐姐每人拿个方便袋去村里的人家，挨个拜年。每到一家，我们都会对他们说：“过年好!”他们听了，便会抓一把糖放在方便袋里或给我们一些零钱当作压岁钱。等我们拜完年，已是下午1点了，我们看着自己方便袋里满满的糖和手里的压岁钱别提有多高兴了。

很久以前，人们用烟花、爆竹来驱逐传说中经常来人间作恶、捣乱的“年”兽。所以晚上，我们在大院子里放烟花、爆竹。起先，我和哥哥、姐姐，站在旁边，堵住耳朵，看着舅舅放向了第一挂鞭炮后，便拿起了一个小型鞭炮——擦炮，点燃后，扔到院子中间，只听“砰”的一声，擦炮响了，其它人听见了响声“紧随其后”点燃了烟火，放了起来，眨眼间，到处“开出”了一朵朵火红的花朵，像遍地都开满了火花。“真热闹!真热闹!”邻居小弟弟、小妹妹们早就高兴得合不拢嘴。烟花爆竹声夹杂着叫声、欢笑声，汇成了《新春交响曲》。

这么热闹的节日，怎能让我不喜欢呢?
