Before dinner, there was a tradition in my hometown. We needed to bring the

chicken to take a bow to our ancestors, showing our respect and gratitude. When

the dinner’s ready, we ate happily and talked a lot. Then at night, the families

pasted the New Year’s scrolls and decorated the house. What a harmonious

environment and we enjoyed the family hour. In the next few days, I visited a

lot of relatives. It was a good chance for us to communicate with each

other.

这就是春节，一个美好的节日，是我最喜欢的节日!是中国传统节日中最最重要的，也是中华人民团聚的节日，它给我们带来了欢乐和幸福!

我国有许多传统佳节：如清明、端午、中秋、重阳节……这些节日承载着悠长的民族文化，各自有着鲜明、独特的节日风俗。而我却更偏爱春节。

每个春节都让我难忘，下面就和大家交流“20xx年一个春节”吧。

新的一年到了，每家每户都有着浓郁的“春节味”：大红服的衣裳，噼里啪啦的爆竹声，还有大家的欢笑声！早晨，我醒来一看钟，“呀”！上学迟到了！妈妈笑着说：“傻孩子，今天是放假！”我嘘了一口长长的气。正穿到外套的时候，发现我的衣服被妈妈换成了红色的小旗袍，哦！今天是农历20xx年的最后一天，可要穿喜庆的颜色呀！

吃完午饭，我惊奇地叫道：“爸爸去哪儿了？”哦，原来是去买爆竹了！一刻钟后，爸爸拎着几挂小鞭炮回来了，笑了笑：“擦把脸，走吧！”我飞快地刷了牙擦了脸后，和爸爸、妈妈、舅舅、舅妈来到了楼下。只见爸爸点起鞭炮，快速跑开。我也便立即捂住了耳朵。“噼啪！噼里啪啦！”随着一连串鞭炮声的响起，我有了一种书不尽言的感觉--啊！那是幸福的感觉！

“辰辰，吃年夜饭喽！”随着妈妈的呼唤，我大步流星地走到餐桌前。哇！年夜饭就是不一样，多丰盛呀：有火锅、炒面、水饺、炒素、红烧肉，还有我最爱吃的八宝饭等等。哈！舅舅也乐得把葡萄酒都拿出来了。大家碰着杯，说着祝福语，欢笑声不断。瞧！舅舅的脸通红，不知是喝酒喝出来的，还是乐出来的呢？在我眼里，欢笑声盖过了鞭炮声，温馨的笑声响彻全中国！

The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the traditional Chongyang Festival, or Double Ninth Festival. It usually falls in October in the Gregorian calendar. In an ancient and mysterious book Yi Jing, or The Book of Changes, number 6 was thought to be of Yin character, meaning feminine or negative, while number 9 was thought to be Yang, meaning masculine or positive. So the number nine in both month and day create the Double Ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival. Chong in Chinese means double. Also, as double ninth was pronounced the same as the word to signify forever, both are Jiu Jiu, the Chinese ancestors considered it an auspicious day worth celebration. That‘s why ancient Chinese began to celebrate this festival long time ago.

The custom of ascending a height to avoid epidemics was passed down from long time ago. Therefore, the Double Ninth Festival is also called Height Ascending Festival. The height people will reach is usually a mountain or a tower. Ancient literary figures have left many poems depicting the activity. Even today, people still swarm to famous or little known mountains on this day.

On this day, people will eat Double Ninth Gao (or Cake). In Chinese, gao (cake) has the same pronunciation with gao (height). People do so just to hope progress in everything they are engaged in. There is no fixed ways for the Double Ninth Cake, but super cakes will have as many as nine layers, looking like a tower.

The Double Ninth Festival is also a time when chrysanthemum blooms. China boasts diversified species of chrysanthemum and people have loved them since ancient times. So enjoying the flourishing chrysanthemum also becomes a key activity on this festival. Also, people will drink chrysanthemum wine. Women used to stick such a flower into their hair or hang its branches on windows or doors to avoid evilness.

In 1989, the Chinese government decided the Double Ninth Festival as Seniors‘ Day. Since then, all government units, organizations and streets communities will organize an autumn trip each year for those who have retired from their posts. 中国的传统佳节真不少，有元宵节、春节、端午节……不同的节日给我带来了不同的体会，不同的节日又给我带来了不同的欢乐，我最喜欢的节日是中秋节。

每年农历八月十五日，中秋节便悄然来临了。中秋节的习俗想必大家都耳熟能详吧！

每到中秋节这一天，吃各色各样的月饼都是必不可少的。莲蓉味的、豆沙味的等等，都是大家所熟悉的口味。拿起月饼，“啊呜”一口，莲蓉便露了出来。满嘴溢香津津有味的品尝莲蓉味月饼，是我的最爱。

当然，中秋佳节也并不是这么枯燥无味，还有一件事呢——那就是“赏月”！

“皓魄当空宝镜升，云间仙籁寂无声。平分秋色一轮满，长伴云衢千里明。”这首《中秋》，大家都应该知道吧？正如诗人李朴所言，中秋的月亮就像一面宝镜，美丽得可以和整个天际相比。我常常在中秋节的夜晚，跑到院子里赏月。月亮越升越高，穿过一缕一缕轻纱似的微云，光芒洒照大地，是我最爱的风景。

天津人称腊月初八为“腊八儿”，有喝腊八粥的习俗。许多天津人还在这天用醋泡大蒜，名“腊八醋”。腊月十五开始，各式各样的年货全都上市，以娘娘宫为轴心的宫南宫北大街更是热闹非凡。男孩子到娘娘宫头一个目标就是风葫芦，成年男人到这里，忘不了买灯笼，女人们来这里多是“洗娃娃”的。从娘娘宫拴回的“娃娃”每年都要“洗一回”，这是节前妇女必须做完的事情。

腊月二十三，是灶王爷升天的日子，家家要买糖瓜儿，等到夜里12点祭灶王爷。待香燃尽后，请下灶王像，点火烧了，大年三十再买新的灶王像，又叫“灶王码子”换上，年复一年，都是这样。天津还有春节贴吊钱儿的习俗，吊钱儿是用彩纸剪刻成的图案，贴在门窗的玻璃和横棱上，作为春节喜庆气氛的点缀。贴上的吊钱儿只能到正月初五那天损坏，否则就意味着一年不吉利。

天津人称正月初五为“破五”，这一天，家家户户吃饺子，菜板要剁得叮咚响，让四邻听见，以示正在剁“小人”。天津人把不顺心的事归结到“小人”的身上，除掉“小人”才能大吉大利，顺顺当当，初五晚上放鞭炮，也有避邪免灾的意味。
