我们郧西的春节，有着不同的习俗。

“腊八节”。腊月初八，户户以五谷杂蔬煮腊八粥，人称“吃了腊八粥，就把年来办。”吃后盛一碗，让小孩拿着砍刀，将房前屋后的果树隔上一道口子，喂进腊八粥，边喂边念：“今年喂腊八，明年结的鼓爪爪。”以示来年果树丰收。也有的地方留一碗到除夕日给当家人吃。
